POPULARITY

Every once in a while in The Imagine Neighborhood, we get thrown an extra day in the middle of a normal week when everything is topsy-turvy: that’s Blurghsday! There’s no right way to prepare for it, so you’ve just gotta roll with the punches. Scotty and Cap’n Marion both have a lot of adjusting to do and flexibility to practice when this week’s Blurghsday takes them by surprise. In this episode, we’re learning about being cognitively flexible—being able to change your plans when unexpected things happen. Unexpected things may throw you for a loop, and you can’t prepare for every possible scenario. Take a few deep breaths and name your feelings, then make a new plan. Sometimes you’ve just got to say, “Blame it on Blurghsday!” If you want to expand upon the themes in each episode, sign up for our newsletter. Welcome to the Season 2 special of “As the Crickets Chirp” featuring all 9 episodes of Season 2, including an interview with creator Marc Sanchez aka the Cricket Man who talks about the secrets of the series while also giving us a further glimpse into the Bugton Hollow Universe. “As the Crickets Chirp” is a semi-autobiographical, metaphorical, allegorical, parody web series that is full of hidden messages, social commentary, double meanings, and other secrets. There is a code to the Bugton Hollow Universe, and if one cracks the code even a little bit, one can receive many messages from ATCC…once again, as with our Season 1 special, we have added titles and an enigmatic yet clue-revealing introduction to each episode. S2 E1 “Mr. Crypto” Parasites, invaders, puppet masters…all seek one thing and one thing only….complete control… S2 E2 “Mind Control” Where do motivations come from? Who is really in control? S2 E3 “Ashley Takes Control” Never underestimate an angry cricket. S2 E4 “KBUG” Frequencies, wavelengths…they are all around us, all we need is the equipment to tune in… S2 E5 “A Cherry Pie That’ll Kill Ya” The owls are not what they seem… S2 E6 “Nanobots” Mind control is a wonderful thing… S2 E7 “Thank you, Louie. Murray?” Uncontrollable urges can put a real damper in your day to day… S2 E8 “The Count” It can happen to you only if you permit it… S2 E9 “Night of the Bats” The Season 2 Finale…control is an illusion…
Part of the Ento Nation podcast is a little web drama series called “As the Crickets Chirp”. On the surface it’s just a simple fun parody of the old radio dramas. But in reality, it is a semi-autobiographical, multi-layered, metaphorical, allegorical, parody, plus heavy social commentary with hidden messages that the casual listener might miss. Just like when you observe a city or town that you drive through, safe in your vehicle, windows up, seeing just the façade of an average, everyday community; the normal storefronts, the normal houses, the normal cars…it all seems so…normal…on the surface. But what’s going on beneath the surface, behind closed doors, is so much more than you could ever possibly imagine. The same can be said for the “As the Crickets Chirp” series. Listen carefully…and enjoy. Episode 1 “Evil Twin Brother” Episode 2 “The Bugfather” Episode 3 “The Merry-Go-Round” Episode 4 “The Ento Zone” Episode 5 “Amnesiac” Episode 6 “Pigedemonium” I’d like to thank all of you who listen to the Ento Nation podcast, and to “As the Crickets Chirp”. ATCC is written, produced, and performed by Marc Sanchez aka The Cricket Man. Season 2 of As the Crickets Chirp premieres in early 2018! EntoNation.com
