We made it! Our 100th episode is here, and we couldn't be more stoked to share it with everyone. First and foremost, a huge shoutout to everyone who's listened and appeared on our podcast over the last 99 episodes. We feel blessed to have met so many awesome people, enjoyed many fun recordings of memorable conversations, and received a ton of positive feedback along the way! We had an absolute blast recording our first Sports Movie Draft with an all-star cast of previous guests, which included Justin Khoo from Cows in the Field, Justin Peterson from The Average Joe's Movie Club Cast, Matt Belenky (film critic + frequent podcaster + producer), Don Shanahan of Cinephile Hissy Fit & Every Movie Has a Lesson, Michael Burgett of Screen Nerds Podcast, and of course, your two cuddly, charming, adorable underdogs, Jordan and Paul. In total, we drafted from eight categories: Best Sports Biopic (About an individual athlete - not a team) Best Heel/Villian In a Sports Movie Best Locker Room Speech In a Sports Movie Best Fictional Sports Announcer(s) in a Movie Best Soundtrack/Score In a Sports Movie Best Nickname or Character Name in a Sports Movie Best Futuristic Race, Game Show, or Sport Invented in a Movie Best Romance in a Sports Movie Everyone's picks were amazing. Our conversation was even better! Now it is YOUR TURN TO VOTE! So what are you waiting for? Listen to our 100th podcast episode, check out our draft board, and vote below (if you're on Spotify) for the draftee whose picks you dig the most! Oh, and thanks for listening! Cheers to the next 100! Woof, woof!

Does every single movie need to do _____!? Come on, man. On this Episode, Arron and Andrew talk about common movie tropes. Some are annoying. Some are funny. Some are cool and some take away from the movie. What are some tropes we missed?
GamerDude loves to talk about movies and tv, and over the years he's done several episodes about movies, television, and the tropes we see over-used in them. This week's Best Of episode revisits some of the tropes GamerDude has compiled over the years, from the ever-present parking space out front, to the hero trying to escape by climbing up the building, to the villain revealing all of his dastardly plans while pontificating about how wonderfully villainous the villain has been.
In this episode, I discuss many things Sword & Sorcery related*, including my favorite related movie tropes, D&D (both game and movie), my favorites from the genre, and the art of knowing when to take a pee break at the movie theater while missing the minimum amount of what the story has to offer. *mostly(Music Courtesy of Epidemic Sound)One Last Battle – Edgar HoppWhen All Kings Fall – Edgar HoppBreaker of Chains – Jon BjorkArrow Rain – Bonnie GraceNow We Fight – Bonnie GraceDeorc Decuple – FormantXStealing Mushrooms – The Fly Guy FivePersonal Vendetta – Edgar HoppPhoenix Rising – Edgar HoppLast Strike For Glory – Dream CaveLeap of Faith – Edgar HoppA Million Upheavals – Edgar HoppTowards Dawn – Reynard SeidelSuperhero Story 2 – Fredrik Ekstrom

You know how they say that Christmas never ends? First off, who said that? Seriously. Like, what were they thinking? Were they high? What does that even mean? Secondly, of course it ends. It immediately ends. For some, it ends before it begins! But for Film Fighters Kon 'n Jon... yea, it also ends - in fact, it's not even worth mentioning really. Although, it may not be surprising that Jono (not so secretly) does not like Christmas movies. Well, some Christmas movies. Quite a few actually; enough to indicate maybe he doesn't actually hate Christmas movies but wanted to discuss the annoying logic of them in a mini episode!Tangents include: Rudolph the Coke-Nosed Reindeer -> Jurassic Deer, Soused Singles for Santa, The Santalorian, Cuffing Season, Romantic Christmas Movies, Gritty Horror Remakes of Kids Shows.Intro/Outro Theme by Math the Band.

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!! *Freeze Frame* You're probably wondering how we got here. Let's go back and see what happened.... Welcome to Season 3 of the Feature Length Podcast! As you're aware, we are a podcast that talks about movie and TV, and to kick off season 3, we love the smell of burning tropes in the morning!! Do you trust us? Then come with us on a journey, as we discuss all the movie tropes and cliches we hate (and even a few we like...Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!!). But really, what's more cliche than a movie podcast with 2 white dudes and one white woman. In fact, maybe we should have called this podcast "The two White Dudes and One White Woman". Actually, drop the "The", it's cleaner. I know, you're probably saying "English, Please!!! What're these peeps talking about". You'll just have to listen in and find out! But really, it's just like, whatever you think man.
Clarice asks about the worst unrealistic movie tropes out there.
This week we're talking about the things that bug us in movies: all the worst tropes, cliches, and pet peeves you can imagine. Sometimes movies can have certain cliches or tropes that show up over and over again. However, certain tropes will always get enjoyment out of a section of the audience. This week, Nate and Josh take a look at their favorite movie tropes. They also look at the past week's movie news including: Warner Brothers developing a Constantine sequel movie with Keanu Reeves Disney removes Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron movie from upcoming release schedule Antman and Wasp Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness tapped to write Avengers Kang Dynasty New Karate Kid movie coming 2024, not connected to Cobra Kai The Strangers getting a new three film reboot series Be sure to like, share, and subscribe for all the latest! Spy movies are perfect for Audio Description. There are subtle clues to describe, exotic and seedy locations to expound on, and often great visual storytelling for the Describer to work with. But what about those moments that whip by too fast for the AD Narrator? Today, Christine and JJ break down the visuals of spy movie tropes: gadgets, lairs, disguises, hacking, and tracking. Horror movies are known for their infamous tropes. Having sex and ending up dead. Doing drugs or drinking alcohol being a sure fire way to get a knife in the chest. Or perhaps the trope of a weapon being only inches away. The tropes are endless and are what we've come to love when it comes to our horror movies. But what about the movies that broke the traditional tropes, turned them on its head, and became the template for horror movies to come? Those are the movies we're going over on this weeks episode. The ones who used the traditional tropes but but their own spin on it. We're going over FIVE different movies that broke the mold. ————————————————— Watch Classic Horror, Sci-Fi, and Creature Feature Films 24/7 Live on Twitch @ Cabin of Horrors. Damsel in distress, journey of the reluctant hero, one last job, vengeance, coming of age, saving the planet from destruction. There are no shortage of film tropes throughout all decades, but the 80s had something special. A cliché, a story, a trope that just felt like the manifestation of acid washed jeans, Hi-C Ecto Cooler, and Ronal Reagan. Today on Buzzn The Tower we list our favorite 80s movie tropes. Clichés that appeared in abundance and worked each and every time. I'm Mo Shapiro and joining me as always the Daniel LaRusso, Luke Skywalker, Frank Dux to my Mr. Myagi, Yoda, Tanaka, Max Sanders. And with that, let's talk about 80s movie tropes!
