Dale Earnhardt Jr. welcomes Kyle Larson and Tony Kanaan to the studio to learn more about Kyle's return to the Indianapolis 500 as part of the historic Memorial Day Double. After a rain delay disrupted the true double attempt in 2024, Kyle will be back behind the wheel at Indy for another attempt at the incredible feat. Dale asks Kyle and Tony about the process of getting Kyle behind the wheel of an IndyCar and what his first test sessions felt like. They also discuss the comparisons between an IndyCar Dallara and a NextGen Cup car.Kyle and Tony talk about their history together, dating back to winning the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2015, and how that helped streamline their learning process and working relationship at Arrow McLaren. The guys chat about the magnitude of the 500 and the environment at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the month of May, and how it doesn't compare to anything else in motorsports. Tony explains how he takes information from engineers and streamlines it for Kyle to better understand behind the wheel. The interview also covers the process of timing a pass at IMS, Kyle's 2024 pit penalty, plan B for 2025 and what's next on Kyle's racing bucket list. Must be 21+ and present in select states (for Kansas, in affiliation with Kansas Star Casino) or 18+ and present in D.C. Conor Daly prepares for his next challenge behind the wheel on this week's episode of Speed Street. He joins co-host Chase Holden to discuss his upcoming NASCAR Truck race at Homestead and the challenges he's facing in a grueling market for open seats in 2025. The guys also discuss the recent IndyCar test at Iowa Speedway as well as the Indianapolis Road Course test for 2025's IndyNXT roster. Conor spent the past weekend watching racing and was disappointed with the outcome of the Formula One United States Grand Prix. He weighs in on the differences between IndyCar and Formula One track limits and how the race may have played out differently if the stewards didn't have to get involved. Hailie Deegan joins the show to discuss her highly publicized transition from the NASCAR world to the IndyNXT paddock. Hailie explains that after her last NASCAR Xfinity event, she began to ponder entering the open wheel world and went to the IndyCar event at Iowa Speedway to take in the series firsthand. She compares the amount of track time she's had so far in preparing for her first IndyNXT start to her past four seasons spent in NASCAR, which reveals a major challenge for developing racers in the stock car world. Conor and Hailie discuss the use of iRacing in helping to ease the growing pains that come with switching types of race cars, as well as the affordability of racing in IndyNXT versus a NASCAR Truck. 21+ and present in North Carolina.

... Christian Merli, Italy (Unlimited), 9:04.454. Dani Sordo, Spain (Exhibition/Hyundai Ioniq 5 N), 9:30.852. ... Cole Powelson, USA (Open Wheel), 9:33.222. Don Wickstrum, USA (Unlimited), 9:40.512. ... Jimmy Ford, USA (Pikes Peak Open), 9:40.660. This week, we speed into disaster, with a man who lived a wild, and crazy life. Racing cars, and punching anyone within reach. He never quite achieved the accolades he wished for, on the track, so he devoted his life to his passions, teaching his son to race, and getting arrested. Fractured skulls, bruised girlfriends, threatened ex-wives, and an absolutely enormous fire ball later... At least his son is successful. This is a crazy story, of just too much speed! Smash the back of a car that has passed you, leave your son at a gas station because you're unsatisfied with his race performance, and beat up your dad with Jos "The Boss" Verstappen!! Check us out, every Tuesday! !We will continue to bring you the biggest idiots in sports history!!  Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman  Donate at... patreon.com/crimeinsports or with paypal.com using our email: crimeinsports@gmail.com  Get all the CIS & STM merch at crimeinsports.threadless.com  Go to shutupandgivememurder.com for all things CIS & STM!!  Contact us on... twitter.com/crimeinsports crimeinsports@gmail.com facebook.com/Crimeinsports instagram.com/smalltownmurder
