On this week's episode we have a great in depth conversation with drummer extraordinaire David Jarnstrom. David has had quite the drumming career, playing with bands such as GRATITUDE, ALIGN, BNLX, RAD OWL, DEAD HISTORY, and most recently SKINNY LISTER. David is also an accomplished writer and marketer. While still in school, David found himself writing for magazines like Delta SKY, Twin Cities METRO and his childhood fave, Modern Drummer. Further marrying his love for music and writing, he spent a half-decade on the creative team at McNally Smith College of Music—first as Copywriter and Webmaster, and later as Marketing Manager—where he wrote hundreds of press releases and blog posts; copy for websites, brochures, catalogs, radio spots and banner ads; and managed a social media community of over 50,000. Join us for our great conversation about all things music. Thanks for listening!!! Please Follow us on Instagram @hiddentracks99Pre and Post roll music brought to you by @sleepcyclespa

“Mantra” is the latest single to be lifted from the Skinny Lister's upcoming album ‘Shanty Punk' out 20 October, via Xtra Mile Recordings. The track is bright and beatific in its message, set to a tune simply born for a good old fashioned barn dance. Sat amongst typically more driving and stomping tracks of the album, “Mantra” offers a welcome moment of reflection and is intended to bring a slightly different flavour to proceedings. Led by the band's leading lady Lorna Heptinstall, it sees her releasing her inner Dolly Parton across a track dashed with a hint of country and a pinch of Cajun music. Based on the glass half-full mantra that Skinny Lister themselves live-by. The sweet country two-step of “Mantra” follows the full-force folk/punk of previous single, “Company Of The Bar”, with both tracks due to feature on ‘Shanty Punk', Skinny Lister's sixth, and arguably definitive new album. The follow-up to 2021's ‘A Matter of Life & Love', a freewheeling record that paid homage to all the greatest things in life; ‘Shanty Punk' goes one further with a concept record that's simply all about: Skinny Lister. Skinny Lister will be taking ‘Shanty Punk' out to the masses this Winter, with the quintet will be putting it to the test with an extensive run of UK shows throughout November and December. With a reputation for one of the most uplifting and exhilarating shows in the biz

Start with making great records before you get too wrapped up in the idea of what is our press pack gonna look like - Andy GannonAndy Gannon is a young mid-20's artist and producer with experience and talent that go way beyond his years. Although I have to admit that I'm somewhat biased because Andy and I have a close working relationship in that I manage his band, Bad Love.We have a lot of conversations often daily about this kind of stuff with regard to the band and so I thought it would be interesting to take a step back and discuss our thoughts and feelings around marketing from a more holistic perspective.Andy is the frontman, songwriter and producer in Bad Love who, in April 2020, are an early stage four-piece alt-pop band who make their own brand of Sad-Boy Pop. He is also a producer and has worked on records for Robbie Williams, Skinny Lister, Rudimental and Clean Bandit.Show notesGoogle's Aristotle Project and psychological safetyLarkins - Not Enough Love (from isolation)There's A Reason Why - Blossoms in Isolation! The Less I Know The Better - Tame Impala with BlossomsBBC IntroducingAmazing RadioShell Zenner -

We throw our usual format out the window! First we discuss the hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers and all the fallout that dramatic event had on the Internet. Then, our collaborator Jeni Sue joins us to report on her adventures at Coachella. THEN, Randall, the expert in crazy, nastyass animals, especially the Honey Badger, joins us for a very special interview. With music from Skinny Lister and so many great contribs from our Likers!
