Jamie Hall is a musician, producer and main man behind the British band Tigercub. Perfume of Decay, their debut on Pearl Jam legend Stone Gossard's Loosegroove records, their third record of nocturnal, hard-hitting rock, frontman Jamie Hall draws the curtains shut and embraces a moody, melancholic sound that's every bit as cinematic as Hollywood itself. It's an album about counterpoint and opposites, stacked with songs that contrast overdriven guitars with whispered vocals, tight grooves with shoegazing swells of noise, sonic experimentation with sharp songwriting. For a band that's always trafficked in drama and dynamics, The Perfume of Decay marks Tigercub's strongest release to date.
Born in Wolverhampton, UK and growing up in the Midlands area Alex Newport currently lives in Los Angeles. The owner of Future Shock recording studio, Newport got his start as the founding member of UK noise-rock band Fudge Tunnel. Moving behind the boards, Newport became a highly sought after producer after producing hugely influential records for At the Drive-In (In/Casino/Out, 1998 and Vaya, 1999) and The Mars Volta (Tremulant, 2002). In 2011 he commenced an ongoing relationship with the Juno Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green, AKA City And Colour. Newport produced City And Colour's Little Hell, which was recorded and mixed entirely on analog tape followed by The Hurry and the Harm – the band's second consecutive #1 album on the Canadian charts and a top 20 Billboard US album. He also mixed the collaborative project between City and Colour and Pink called You+Me. Alex produced Bloc Party's critically acclaimed top five UK album FOUR. Other notable productions and mixes include work with Matt Costa, Moaning, Death Cab For Cutie, The Sounds, Frank Turner, Two Gallants, Weaves, Tigercub, Bleached, and more. Alex also sings and performs as one half of Red Love, with Matt Tong (ex-Bloc Party) – their debut album was released in Feb 2017. Billy Idol will be part of the MMRBQ 2023 on September 16th at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. The lineup includes Shinedown, Larkin Poe, Ayron Jones, Dirty Honey, Finger Eleven, Tigercub and Vixen77. He had a great conversation with Jacky Bam Bam talking performing, clubbing in Philly and the members of his band. Idol was drinking with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Stones at a party at Ronnie Woods brownstone in New York. They were drinking Rebel Yell Whiskey. He also discusses how an Elvis Presley song and movie changed his life, Lisa Marie and Graceland. Both his granddaughters like music, and Idol has some a few stories about them. Idol is working on making an album and will probably will nix the 3rd EP idea. He is not sure when it will be out, but it will be on Dark Horse Records. He talks about why he does most of his charity work for Cancer Research because of his dad. We can't wait to see him at the BBQ!

Stone Gossard joins us live in studio to talk about his record label “Loosegroove” and a band they signed called “Tigercub”.
Tigercub “Tigercub steps up to claim the front runner status as the new heavy. They emerge from Brighton UK under the 7 foot frame of Mr. Jamie Hall and his Tigercub.” ~ Stone Gossard Revolver announced that Loosegroove Records has signed Tigercub c/w US Headlines dates in conjunction with their US & Canada shows supporting Clutch & EYEHATEGOD. The signing of Tigercub on Loosegroove Records marks the reboot of the influential indie label that Gossard founded back in 1994 with Regan Hagar. Significantly Gossard and Hagar signed Queens of the Stone Age and released the band's debut album in 1998, providing a foundation to build to where they are now. “When we discovered Tigercub, it felt like the right time to start Loosegroove back up,” says Hagar. Stone adds “It's almost 23 years to date that Queens of the Stone Age debuted at Mercury Lounge in NYC. And now Tigercub makes their Big Apple debut in the same club on April 16th. This is just the beginning for this incredibly talented group from Brighton UK to enlighten us Yanks to the sound of the new heavy!” Tigercub's latest album ‘As Blue As Indigo' was met with rave reviews from metal, rock and alt press internationally, establishing the band's genre-pushing originality.
