Cast your mind back to 2002. Any British punk worth their salt at that time would've whiled away hours of their young lives watching music videos by their favourite punk artists, both British and otherwise, on the only TV channel dedicated to punk rock: P-Rock TV.Such was it's impact, 22 years later, Alex Shipman from Silver Knight Entertainment has made a documentary about it!Alex joins us in MLPP towers, but she's bought along Mark and Russell, two of the trio behind the now legendary channel!Join us as we wax lyrical about Whitmore, fart about discussing 4ft Fingers and prepare to be amazed at just how short of a time the channel existed, despite its impact on the scene of the time.Nostalgia's the order of the day, with songs by DeeCracks, Stupid Brick, Fenix TX, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Green Day, Not Katies and Uncle Brian.

As the lead singer and founding member of Vandoliers, Joshua Fleming has released three outstanding albums, aggressively toured throughout the U.S., and shared the stage with legendary acts like Old 97's and Flogging Molly. Before he was wowing listeners all over the world with a winning blend of country and punk, Fleming was playing shows at roller rinks and other all-ages spaces in the suburbs of Fort Worth, Texas, with his high school ska band. Just before setting out on another tour, Fleming spoke with My First Band host Tyler Maas about modern-day Vandoliers happenings (including an upcoming run of European shows in June), the Blink-182 and Fenix TX concert he attended as a kid that inspired his musical journey, booking day-long ska festivals as a high schooler, getting serious in his 20s as the member of a garage rock band called The Phuss, the circumstances that led him to starting Vandoliers, and some of the most memorable experiences he's had along the way. My First Band is sponsored by Mystery Room Mastering and Lakefront Brewery. The show is edited by Jared Blohm. You can listen to My First Band on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify and wherever else you get podcasts. You can also listen to rebroadcasts of previous My First Band episodes on WMSE every Wednesday from noon to 12:30 p.m. CST. Music used in this episode comes courtesy of Devils Teeth ("The Junction Street Eight Tigers") and Vandoliers ("Every Saturday Night").

In the final episode of season 6, we welcome a multi-dimensional talent in Aaron Thompson. While also known by many others as “Small Hands” for being one of the most celebrated adult films stars in the modern era, it's just the beginning for Aaron. As he is winning awards in multiple outlets for “Male Performer Of The Year”, he is also furthering himself as a musician in his solo-project titled “Empty Streets”. This all started in the early 2000s for Aaron – and it includes playing in bands like The Stranger's Six and Fenix TX, and performing in the acclaimed Warped Tour. There is a sense of staying humble and finding that medium between and the fame and the void, and Aaron seems to have found it with a passion unmatched. We talk about his beginnings in the music and adult film world, including his immeasurable bond with his wife, life partner and fellow pornstar actress legend, Joanna Angel. This is an exciting time for someone like Aaron, and he has big things planned down the line for himself in both industries, so make sure you tune in to this great conversation we had with a dedicated individual in everything he takes part in. And lastly, his newest EP, titled “Age Of Regret” is set to drop this June. The Jack Of All Trades, doing what he does best.
