Comparison is one of the biggest stumbling blocks to living a joyful and fulfilled life. When we compare ourselves and our lives' to other people we will either puff up in pride or sink down in insecurity. The temptation to compare will come, just remember that no one has a perfect set of circumstances, and everyone experiences pain. Instead of living in the discouraging land of comparison, let's walk in love and compassion towards everyone we encounter. God created each of us with a unique plan and being jealous and hateful or covetous is a distraction that stops us from focusing on who HE made us to be and on His purpose for our lives!!!

In this episode you will hear Jen and I discuss how easy it is to fall into the comparison trap and how to overcome comparison between us women in the power of the Holy Spirit. The enemy would rather of us sisters in Christ divided or tearing each other down. Even staying silent (or withholding our encouraging words) when we see another woman following the Lord is damaging. I share the verse Romans 12:15: Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Jen shares Psalm 139 (when we are rooted in who we are we are far less likely to tear other women down). We can overcome this by hiding God's Word in our hearts and minds, keeping our eyes on Jesus, praying for one another, saying encouraging and edifying things to each other and more. Jen shares a lot of verses to encourage us and an AWESOME phrase that I LOVE to help overcome comparison (around the 21 minute marker). Shoot me a message on Instagram, FB, or email and tell me what you think it is. The final verse shared was Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Mama Meets Enneagram-Motherhood, Marriage, Mindset, Health and Life Coaching For Busy Christian Women

Can you believe we are on day 5 already?  I want to thank you for allowing me a platform to speak to you from my heart. I truly have given all I could to present this study in a way that is understandable and relatable. I hope you've found those to be true.    If I were your enemy, I'd work to create division between you and other christians, between groups of Christians, anyone with the potential for uniting in battle against me and my plans. I'd keep you operating individually, not seeing your need for the church or tying yourself too closely to its mission. Strength in numbers and unity of purpose….I would not allow things like these to go unchecked. If I were your enemy, I'd use every opportunity to bring old wounds to mind, as well as the people, events and circumstances that caused them. I'd try to ensure that your heart was hardened with anger and bitterness. Shackled through unforgiveness. Find out what our March Bible study will be about and more about how to combat these last two tactics of the enemy. Giveaway only for participants in ADHD Wives Club. Mama Meets Enneagram-Motherhood, Marriage, Mindset, Health and Life Coaching For Busy Christian Women

Welcome to day 4 of the overcoming comparison Bible study. If you're just finding this for the first time, please go back and watch/listen to the studies in order.  So over the last 3 lessons, I've covered how the enemy attacks your passion, focus, identity, family, confidence and your calling. Today I'm going to cover how the enemy attacks your purity and your rest and contentment. If I were your enemy, I'd tempt you towards certain sins, making you believe you are basically (even biologically) unavoidable. I'd study your tendencies and proclivities til I learned the precise conditions that make you the most likely to indulge them. And then I'd strike you there. Again and again. Wear you down. Because if I can't separate you from God forever, I can at aleast set you at odds with him for the time being. Giveaway only for participants in ADHD Wives Club. Over the last few nights I've been discussing the tactics of the enemy and how he comes in to attack you in multiple ways to keep you stuck in a whirlwind of confusion….never reaching your full potential.    Tonight I want to discuss that if I were your enemy, I'd attack you with your past. Priscilla say, “I'd constantly remind you of your past mistakes and poor choices, I'd want to keep you burdened by shame and guilt, in hopes that you'll feel incapacitated by your many failings and see no point in even trying again. I'd work to convince you that you've had your chance and blown it-that your God may be able to forgive some people for some things, but not you, not for this. Welcome back! Today is day two of our overcoming comparison Bible study. If you missed yesterday, please go back and listen to that one because I laid the groundwork for this study in that lesson. There are things there that I will not be covering again today.   Last night we talked about the enemy stealing your passion and your focus. Tonight, I want to speak about the enemy stealing your identity and your family. Priscilla says, “If I were your enemy, I'd devalue your strength and magnify your insecurities until they dominate how you see yourself, disabling and disarming you from fighting back, from being free, from being who God created you to be. I'd work hard to ensure that you never realize what God has given you so you'll doubt the power of God within you.” Today I share details about Ken and I's testimony that I've not shared before except when ministering to someone in similar situations 1:1.   My calling was never promised to be easy. I don't share things on public platforms like this and my podcast to get attention or simply because I'm an oversharer. Mental health and addiction are both rageing in our homes and taking our families. I am sharing parts of our story because if I were your enemy and wanted you to be stuck in the comparison trap....I'd attack your identity and your family....you don't want to miss this.   Watch the Overcomer Clip: https://youtu.be/K8wW6T4Vhko Giveaway only for participants in ADHD Wives Club.
