"Issues in Education" on Family Life It's Parent-Teacher Conferences time. How can parents and guardians make these meetings most effective and helpful for students. Former school administrator and now education watchdog Ralph Kerr gives his insights and advise on this edition of our Monday news feature "Issues in Education". There are several questions which are particularly fruitful for this mid-semester check-in. Also this week, Dr. Kerr talks about interactions parents and other constituents can have with their local school board, plus an update on standardized test scores. Dr. Ralph Kerr with the “Teaching and Learning Institute”. TLI describes its mission as the emphasis to get Christians involved in their local public schools and become candidates for school board. The institute studied a recent election where fully half of 139 western New York school districts only had one candidate running for each of the open seats.

Waterbrooke Family, Our message from Acts 11:19-30, is entitled "What the World Most Needs". God is at work through the gospel of Jesus Christ to establish the church, even in a world in crisis. That is nothing new. From the beginning of the church in the book of Acts, God has used His Word to produce fruit in the lives of people who respond to the gospel with repentance and faith. As a result, the need is to strengthen churches and their leaders to continue the advance of the gospel in the world. In Acts 11:19-30, Luke tells the story of the founding of the church in Antioch, which then becomes the launching place for missions work in the first century. Today, we are called to join this great mission for the spread of the glory of Jesus Christ among all peoples. In Christ, Duane Tweeten, Guest Speaker Duane Tweeten serves as the President of Training Leaders International. Duane joined TLI in 2012, serving in a variety of roles in the organization. Prior to joining TLI, he served for seventeen years in pastoral ministry in Nebraska. Duane has a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Bethel University and an M.Div. from Bethel Theological Seminary. The Last Internationale (TLI) is an American rock band formed by New York City guitarist Edgey Pires and vocalist Delila Paz. The group is known for its socially-conscious lyrics and strong live performances. Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello introduced the band to his bandmate, drummer Brad Wilk, who subsequently joined the band between 2014 and 2015. Their debut album, We Will Reign, was released on August 19, 2014 via Epic Records and was produced by Brendan O'Brien and Brendan Benson. The band made their network television debut on August 27, 2014, playing "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Indian Blood" on the Late Show with David Letterman. TLI toured with the likes of Robert Plant, The Who, Guns N Roses, Kiss and played the biggest European Festivals.  I had the pleasure to chat with Edgey and Delila, in anticipation of both their new album "TLI3" release March 31st, coinciding with a mammoth 33-date headline tour of Europe and UK! This group of men labeled the Majestic-12, were handpicked leading brass and officials of the United States Government. CASE FILE 39 : LAS VEGAS SHOOTING was an event that took place at a country music venue in Las Vegas, NV. The final report claims it was a lone gunman, shooting from the Mandalay Bay Hotel across the street. This even will go down in history as the biggest mass shooting event in history. Throughout this event, there were many questionable things. There ends up being more question, then answers. Steve Paddock was said to be the man responsible for this massacre, with no prior record or motive. The aftermath of the shooting left 59 dead and 800+ injured.
