It found that 39% of employers actually try to avoid hiring recent college graduates for roles they're qualified for. Why? Here's one reason: A startling one in 5 (19%) hiring managers said a recent college graduate brought a parent with them to their job interview! And that's not the only thing stopping employers from hiring Gen Z applicants:• One in 5 said that recent college graduates are “unprepared” for interviews — and are often unprofessional.• 53% said that recent college graduates struggle with eye contact.• 50% said they ask for unreasonable compensation.• 47% said they don't dress appropriately for interviews.• and 21% said they refuse to turn their cameras on for virtual interviews.On the other hand, Diane M. Dacă ai slăbit și te-ai îngrășat iarăși după dietă, vei afla răspunsul la multe întrebări pe care le aveai deja. Dacă n-ai ținut diete, dar nu te mulțumești cu fizicul pe care îl ai, vei afla ce ai de făcut ca să slăbești. Ce diete de slăbit ai folosit? Dacă ai folosit dieta Dukan, dieta Balerina, Dieta Keto, ori Dieta Rina, dieta disociata, dar și multe alte diete... vei afla dacă sunt bune sau nu. În ultimul timp se vorbește foarte des despre postul intermitent. Este util? Cum trebuie ținut, cât trebuie ținut. Să nu uităm, atunci când alegem să avem un regim alimentar sau un anumit stil de viață, trebuie să ne alegem mâncarea cu grijă: Înaintea siluetei, a numarului de kilograme, ar trebui să punem ca prioritate sănătatea noastră. ¿Qué os viene a la cabeza cuando escucháis la palabra DIETA? A mí, personalmente, me vienen a la cabeza todos esos apellidos que van surgiendo a lo largo de los años y que van poniendo de moda estilos de alimentación a cuál más milagroso, por así decirlo… que si ayuno intermitente, dieta Keto, dieta Paleo, la dieta de la zona, la disociada, la Dukan y no sé cuántas más…Pero, ¿cuál es realmente la mejor dieta? Si tenemos en cuenta qué dice la ciencia y qué dietas son las más estudiadas, podríamos decir que una de las mejor valoradas y más estudiadas es la dieta MEDITERRÁNEA. La dieta mediterránea es un estilo de alimentación o un plan de alimentación saludable. Se basa en alimentos de origen vegetal, como granos enteros o integrales, verduras, legumbres, frutos secos, semillas… con una fuente de grasa excepcional: el aceite de oliva, e incorpora los sabores y métodos de cocina tradicionales de la región. El consumo moderado de carnes blancas, productos lácteos y poco consumo de carnes rojas lo convertía en un patrón alimentario estupendo para poner en práctica. Ya en los años 50 se empezó a generar mucho interés por este estilo de alimentación ya que la gente de la zona presentaba menos eventos cardiovasculares que en otros países occidentales. Hay que entender el contexto del momento, con una cocina más tradicional, como comentábamos…actualmente, los países que siguen la dieta mediterránea NO se llevan este estilo alimentario, ni mucho menos…La incorporación de alimentos superfluos, ultraprocesados, grandes cantidades de bebidas y refrescos azucarados y de otras sustancias como el alcohol han generado que quede bien poco de ella…Debo hacer hincapié en que, aunque esté mencionando los alimentos procesados como uno de los motivos que ha generado mayor problemática para seguir hablando de dieta mediterránea actual, lo cierto es que existen muchos productos alimentarios procesados muy interesantes que quedarían excluídos de este grupo y que, por tanto, no afectarían a la dieta como tal, como pueden ser las verduras y hortalizas ultracongeladas de los supermercados, las frutas en conserva, las legumbres de bote… Otro patrón alimentario o otra dieta o estilo de alimentación interesante es la DIETA DASH, de las siglas en inglés de Enfoques alimentarios para detener la Hipertensión.Se trata de un patrón alimentario bajo en sal y alto en el consumo de frutas, vegetales, granos integrales, lácteos bajos en grasas y proteínas magras. Este patrón alimentario se creó para ayudar a reducir la presión arterial elevada, pero también resulta interesante para mantener un peso saludable o favorecer la pérdida de peso (siempre, recordemos, planteada de forma personalizada y de la mano de un DN). Tiene una base muy parecida a la dieta Mediterránea, como podéis ver… Podríamos decir que la clave de esta dieta es la reducción del aporte de sal, pudiendo ser sustituída por especias varias…Bien, pues al hilo de lo que venimos comentando, estas son las dietas que la ciencia ha conseguido demostrar que pueden tener grandes beneficios para nuestra salud, pero realmente nosotros podemos hacer adaptaciones e integrar alimentos propios de estas dos dietas que hemos mencionado, hacerla más personalizada, que nos ayude a generar una mayor adherencia, que seamos capaces de adaptarla a nuestro día a día…Está claro que no todo el mundo va a poder llevar a cabo una dieta rica en todos estos alimentos de origen vegetal poco procesados, como son todas las frutas, las verduras, las legumbres… Habrá personas que presenten alergias e intolerancias alimentarias y que, por ejemplo, no puedan ingerir frutos secos porque sean alérgicos a éstos… o personas que sean intolerantes a fructosa y sorbitol y no puedan basar su alimentación en frutas y verduras…qué pasa con estas personas? pues bien, debemos entender, y de ahí que haya comentado lo de personalizar el patrón dietético a nosotros mismos, que pueden llevar a cabo adaptaciones de estos patrones alimentarios, centrando su alimentación en todos aquellos alimentos permitidos, y en las cantidades que sabemos que somos capaces de tolerar, junto con los alimentos de la dieta mediterránea o de la Dash que sí podemos consumir con total libertad. Nuestro objetivo siempre debe ser el de buscar el mejorar nuestro estado de salud, por eso, lo que a unas personas les puede beneficiar el comer de una manera determinada, no tiene por qué ser así en otras personas…En resumen, os voy a comentar los alimentos que NO deben aparecer en ningún tipo de patrón alimentario:En primer lugar reducir o eliminar el consumo de alimentos ULTRA PROCESADOS: ricos en azúcares refinados, en grasas de baja calidad, que van a empeorar nuestro estado de salud, potenciando la aparición de enfermedades metabólicas, como dislipemias, HTA, diabetes mellitus tipo 1 y 2…Vamos a intentar reducir el consumo de grasas saturadas y a incrementar el consumo de las insaturadas, nueces, semillas, pescados azules, aceite Así que nuestro consejo, desde Comiendo con María, es que os olvidéis de las dietas con apellido y que os centréis en encontrar aquel estilo alimentario que mejor se adapte a vuestro estado de salud y que mejore vuestras analíticas…vamos a buscar nuestros matices!

David Baum  I am a 64 year old man from Bushey in Hertfordshire. I have been married to my best friend Melanie for 38 years. We have two sons Philip & Oliver and an amazing daughter in law called Kirsty, who is the mother of our beautiful granddaughter Chloe.  I grew up in a typical North West London Jewish household where food was often used as a bargaining chip. Generally eat up and you'll get a treat (when a young child) and then told to eat up as there are starving children who will be very happy to eat anything. At 9 it was discovered I was overweight and was sent to the dietician at The Royal Free who put me on a 1,600 calorie a day diet and so started my YoYo life as a dieter. Until I was in my mid 40's I would gain and then lose weight trying all types of diets including Slim Fast & Herbal Life, all worked well but the moment I stopped any weight I lost went back on, mind you, it didn't help that I enjoyed cake and chocolates. I did enjoy playing badminton and cycling. Around this time I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, caused in part by the Slimfast/Herbal Life diets. Eventually I knew things had to change as I was "eating" the so called healthy diet of 5 a day plus all the "required" wheat and rice etc. I was fortunate to be introduced to Professor Brostoff, a leading immunologist who recommended I stop following the recognised  "healthy" diet as it wasn't healthy for me and introduced me to the Dukan diet, which was a revelation. I found by becoming gluten free and on a relatively low carb diet my weight improved as did my blood sugars and cholesterol.  However, as with all lifestyle changes after a while I started to introduce other "Gluten Free" foods which meant my weight went up as I had no idea of the hidden carbs.  Life continued until one magical day I was introduced to a keto lifestyle and it was like a light bulb went off in my head. These days I am able to keep up an intense level of exercise including running 10k's, 10 milers, half marathons and in October a full marathon. I find that by following a keto lifestyle I never feel hungry and the selection of foods available is now first class.  The fact that I can do the level of exercise means that I can be featured most days on/in our daily social media posts for The Move For Wellness.
