The Great Dingo Debate by Andrea Dixon In our first story, Andrea shares her love for Taz, a rescued dingo living on her family’s property in Hawkesbury, Darug country. As tensions rise between farmers, conservationists, and First Nations communities, the dingo emerges as a symbol of both conflict and kinship. This week we're bringing you the second half of All The Best's collaboration with Outloud Arts, working with young people in Bankstown to make an audio walking tour about the places that matter to them. For those who aren't familiar with Sydney, Bankstown is a suburb located in the South-West Sydney region. Due to the multicultural immigrant demographic and the presence of housing commission properties, certain people characterise the area as being rough, dangerous and downtrodden. But if you live in Bankstown you know that the suburb can't be reduced to narrow stereotypes. Through these stories, the young people of Bankstown invite you to discover their home in their own words. You'll hear stories from Jack Miller, Areebah Armani, Maithly Dhawan, Amy Wong (aka Tofu Pants) and Danielle Lam. The participants were mentored by director-dramaturg Finn Ó Branagáin and local author Kavita Bedford. The audio stories were recorded by Phoebe Adler-Ryan and Ramon Briant. Editing and sound design by Thomas Phillips. With support from Outloud Arts Creative Producer Nicole Issa. Go to www.outloud.org.au and find the ‘Stories from Here' page to finish the audio walking tour. You'll find the full set of stories and a digital walking tour map. Searchers for a man and his three children in a remote part of King Country in September initially believed they had probably been washed out to sea. Thirty-four-year-old Thomas Phillips and his children aged five, six and eight went missing from the small coastal community of Marokopa after their vehicle was found on a nearby beach. A large air, land and sea search for them was suspended after 12-days. On 30 September, the four walked into the family farmhouse. Reporter Andrew McRae has been looking over new documents about the search.

A week after Thomas Phillips and his children went missing, Otorohanga District Mayor Max Baxter says hopes of finding them alive are dwindling. The search has scaled back to focus on the coastline, and police continue to work alongside search and rescue volunteers. Baxter told reporter Amy Williams the community is still rallying around each other, as the search enters day 10, but this stage of the search feels tough.
Police searching for missing King Country man, Thomas Phillips are keen to know the whereabouts of two motorbikes he owned. Mr Phillips and his three children haven't been seen since last Saturday at Marokopa - on the west coast of the North Island. Better weather conditions today has meant an aerial search could go ahead and ground searches are also continuing. Andrew McRae reports.
Police are looking at the phone and bank records of missing King Country man Thomas Phillips as the search for him and his three children continues. The family has not been seen since Saturday night and today the search's focus turned to the sea. Surf lifesavers using inflatable boats and a jetski have been out searching the rugged coastline inaccessible to land searchers. Andrew McRae was there.

The search began on Monday and the police remain committed to finding them. The extended family says they are very anxious and fearful. Andrew McRae reports.

Reporter Robin Martin is on the scene.
A major search is on at a remote and rugged settlement on the west coast of the North Island for a man and his three children. Police say they have serious concerns for Ōtorohanga man Thomas Phillips, who has gone missing in the King Country. Searchers are looking for the 34-year-old - as well as five-year-old Ember Phillips, six-year-old Maverick Callum-Phillips and eight-year-old Jayda Jin. Police say it is out of character for Mr Phillips to go missing and they are scouring the coast, small settlements and going door to door looking for the family. Andrew McRae reports.
The search for a missing family along a remote Waikato west coast beach is resuming. 34-year-old Thomas Phillips and his three young children were last seen at Marokopa on Saturday evening. The alert wasn't raised until Monday and so far the extensive hunt along the coastline and in dense bush has failed to find any sign of them. Otorohanga District mayor Max Baxter says Thomas Phillips knows the area very well where he was last seen with his children. Baxter says he's concerned that Phillips left his ute at nearby Kiritehere beach - as he would have known the vehicle would be flooded if left there for any amount of time. He spoke to Corin Dann.
A relative of a man missing on the Waikato west coast along with three young children says his family is hopeful he is hiding in the bush somewhere. Thirty-four-year-old Thomas Phillips and his three young children were last seen at Marokopa Beach on Saturday evening. The alert wasn't raised until Monday and so far the extensive hunt along the coastline and in dense bush has failed to find any sign of them. Thomas Phillips' uncle Paul Phillips told Morning Report he has found the disappearance easier to handle after discussing it with his brother and sister-in-law. "They're actually very positive, looking on the bright side. Probably coping a lot better than I am actually." Paul Phillips said Thomas Phillips knew the local area well and was a very competent bushman, meaning the family was hopeful he was still in the bush. "They're hoping he has just gone and hidden in the bush." He said Thomas Phillips was a dedicated father who looked after his children well and he does not know why the family would have gone into the bush.
