The 1930s were a tough time for North Dakota. The Depression, combined with the Dust Bowl, caused misery at every level. Banks had loaned large sums to farmers, and with heavy debt, low commodity prices, and crop failures, many farms were foreclosed, leading to bank failures. With Republicans blamed for the tough times, the 1934 elections gave Democrats a chance to make gains at the expense of their vulnerable opponents. Across the country, Democrats geared up for spirited campaigns, hoping to make gains in Congress.

Paula Park is a dynamic music executive who has made her mark not only managing Korean American artist Audrey Nuna but also leading social impact campaigns for major artists like Demi Lovato and Quavo. Paula's background as a first-generation Korean Brazilian gives her a unique perspective that she's using to empower artists and drive meaningful change in the industry. Paula began her career at a major label in Brazil before joining Scooter Braun's SB Projects, where she quickly rose to lead the company's Social Impact and Philanthropy department. She was instrumental in creating global campaigns for high-profile artists, including Demi Lovato's reproductive rights initiative and Quavo's anti-gun violence project, The Rocket Foundation. Now, she's embarking on a new chapter with her new company "Soft Serve" focused on developing artists with a strong sense of mission, purpose, and creative vision. With a degree from Berklee College of Music and additional studies at Harvard Business Online and MIT Sloan, Paula combines industry expertise with a passion for social good. www.Instagram.com/pepark Music Matters with Darrell Craig Harris is sponsored by Shure Microphones. Complain about pain, congratulate, and spur someone on & possessive pronouns in the accusative and dative: meinem/-r/-n, deinem/-r/-n. During a break while playing paintball, Meili, Anna, Tim, and Paul chat. Paul excitedly shares his first freelance gig. The blog about Fritz has gained traction, with fans speculating wildly about his alleged connections to the underworld - this is what Grandpa couldn't believe earlier. Paul is amazed by the blog's popularity. They discuss plans to see a movie later. Inspired by Tim's kitesurfing video, Paul thinks that Fritz might be surfing on an island. However, he lacks the initiative to find out which island it might be because he says he was busy with Grandpa, the apps and the blog. So Tim pushes him to try harder. Grandpa writes and also puts pressure on him. He reveals he has discovered a way to find the correct address of the hiding place of the painting. And for that he urgently needs the book! Is Fritz really on an island? On which one? Can Paul normalize his relationship with Grandpa or will Grandpa put on more pressure and let everything get out of hand? Why did Fritz draw suspicion on Anna earlier by saying she has a criminal record for theft? Why didn't he tell anyone but Meili about his new girlfriend? Why was he constantly on the phone during their trip to Berlin? When does he come back and why did he keep quiet about his vacation?
