Independent American Rapper and urban activist Immortal Technique engages in an enlightening and provocative discussion with Free & Equal’s Christina Tobin. Immortal Technique is a headlining performer at Free & Equal's United We Stand Festival on May 10th, 2014 at UCLA. www.UnitedWeStandFest.com Born Felipe Coronel in Peru in 1978, Immortal Technique now lives in Harlem, wealthy in terms of love, community, and self-respect having kept his message real. He reminds us that although many people define “success” in terms of material wealth and control, there are a lot of people whose “idea of success is just to be free and equal." He talks about traveling to Afghanistan in 2008 and working with Omeid International (Omeid.org) to build an orphanage, school and start a medical center there and how he values the positive effects of music as much as music itself. They discuss the downside of party politics, noting that even the socially concerned wing has turned a blind eye on the drug-addicted population, who need medical and psychological treatment; they don’t need to be sold to the prison industrial complex. Immortal talks about how he is open minded about different forms of government. The problem, he says, with the two-party system is that “not everything has a yes or no answer.” People tend to like some things on one agenda, other things on another agenda, but not the whole agenda of any one group. This is why independent politics are so important—and why independent music is so important. He says that extreme agendas are inexcusable considering “the range of ideas and the range of intelligence that human beings have. We can’t be married to one political ideology.” He advocates diversity and tolerance. His message is spreading to a wider population as poverty spreads from its concentration in minority communities to the former middle class. His new album will be released some time this year by Viper Records (www.viperrecords.com). Always an honest leader who will not compromise his integrity, Immortal Technique says it straight. The most shocking thing these days about his lyrics is probably not the profanity, but the fact that now his message is directed at about forty percent of the population: “We act like we share in the spoils of war that they do. We die in wars.…We don’t get weapons contracts. We don’t get cheap labor for our companies. We are cheap labor. Turn off the news and read, read, read, read.”

**TO LISTEN OR DOWNLOAD SEE THE END OF THE SHOW DESCRIPTION - POST TO YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE IF YOU LOVE HIP HOP !** On this six hour exploding triumph we have: The RZA joins us for a rare and in-depth interview that left live listeners in awe, as The Master takes us on an intelligent journey through his beat creation, an inside analysis of how such classics as Return To The 36 Chambers and Liquid Swords were created, the REAL story behind the making of 8 Diagramz, the influence of Easy Mo Bee and Prince Paul and an exclusive narrative regarding his work on the new GZA album "Liquid Swords 2 - The Return Of The Shadowboxer". RZA even finds time to discuss modern hip hop media, his relationship with Jay Electronica and the success of such talentless nobodies as Paris Hilton. This is an essential, epic 60 minute listen for all lovers of music around the world. Pure classic. Tech N9ne embraces the show in style, launching head on into a frank and candid discussion regarding his recent arrest in Missouri and the way in which the media and news reporters are blatantly misrepresenting the facts about the incident. We talk about the recent theft of a vital CD form his tour bus, the excellent positive work he is doing for the community and his new album The Gates Mixed Plate. He even reveals his plans to work with Eminem on a future track with Brother Lynch Hung and his desire to collaborate with Psychological Records mogul, Necro when time permits. D12's Bizarre is with us for a cautious and abrupt interview. Possibly remembering the last time he was with us,revealing news about Eminem's Recovery album, Bizarre informs us that D12's track with Eminem "Take Your Best Shot" is to feature on another album. He offers listeners a unique chance to submit beats for the new D12 album but when asked about the possibility of Slaughterhouse featuring on the new D12 album...he just leaves. The Dogg Pound swerve into the studio to pour on us some liquid refreshment in the form of new album news, their plans for Rock The Bells 2010 and their desire to sonically bring Dogg Pound back to the classic Death Row days. Daz Dillinger is the main spokesman and Kurupt attempts to get involved but sadly passes out before really getting into his stride. DPG 4 LIfe. Freddie Foxx (aka. Bumpy Knuckles)rarely does interviews these days, so it was a true honour to spend 30 minutes with one hip hop's most dedicated artists. We politic about radio ethics, the problems with modern rappers, the dirty mainstream media and more before venturing off into an exclusive discussion regarding his THREE completed studio albums, including one produced by DJ Premier, another produced entirely by Jesse West and his full collaborative bar-for-bar album with The Teacha KRS One. Homeboy Sandman is with us to talk world issues, the poisons of mainstream media, the ignorance of modern society and of course his new album. We explore the decision process involved with choosing each producer and the necessity for a soundscape that reaches his own extremely high standards. As fresh and inspiring as the mans music itself. Essential. Cyrus Malachi is one the UK's deepest rhyme writers. His recorded works of art are nothing short of instant revelation, so it was our pleasure to welcome him onto the show to discuss his new album, mixtape and the impact and ambition of No Cure Records in 2010. We talk wider issues regarding the UK hip hop scene and Mista Montana mocks Giggs openly - a true deliverance. AND THAT'S NOT ALL! As Redphone Records continues to gain threatening momentum, one of their key vocal messengers, Matt Maddox, join us for an exploration of underground hip hop's leading lights including their recent signing of Viper Records affiliate NightWalker, their distribution deal with Rob Schwartz's powerhouse Whomag Distribution and much more in an interview that will inspire you. On this hardcore, 3 fall cage match of a show we have: Slaughterhouse are in the building as Royce Da 5 9 steps away from the company of Crooked I to address all of the issues you would want addressing in March 2010. We talk Bar Exam 3, the new Slaughterhouse album, his forthcoming work with Eminem, his relationship with D12, including his forthcoming project with Denaun Porter. Royce also takes extensive time out to discuss his recent clashes with Canibus, explaining the misconceptions behind D12's involvement with Bis' recent Eminem diss track, as well as finding time to describe Benzino as his play thing. Will Royce collaborate soon with Wocka Flocka? Listen to the whole thing and find out. Diabolic has a new album about to hit the stores on April 6th. Originally scheduled to be released under the sole guidance of Koch Records, Diabolic elaborates upon the faulty thinking of certain individuals and how returning home to Viper Records will now add security to his career. We explore the many facets of existing in the lofty shadow of Immortal Technique, the Beast 1333 colab, Diabolic's next album which is almost half done and much more, including a classic, sharp worded freestyle towards the end of the interview. Marco Polo is with us on the show to explore his forthcoming projects and the imminent release of his full length colab with Ruste Juxx. Ever the optimist, Polo is invigorated with life as we delve deep into the psychology behind much of his colab work, including an exploration of the recent Ice T and Immortal Technique collaboration allegation. He also takes time to clear up the many rumours surrounding him and attempts to educate people on the drawbacks of internet gossip. Chief Kamachi is a whirlpool of knowledge. Ensure your safety belt is tightly fastened as we eject at warp-speed into the world of one of hip hop's most lucid rhyme writers. Celebrating his birthday and the imminent release of his album The Clock Of Destiny on April 6th, Kamachi blazes through the many cobwebs that others perceive him to carry, including his relationship with AOTP, Vinnie Paz and much more in an awe-inspiring, breath-taking journey. Hasan Salaam and Rugged N Raw join us live from the comfortable surroundings of a UK hotel as they enjoy their current residency here in London, England. We hear, first hand, how much they love our country, our hip hop fans and most of all, our fish n chips and chicken Donnas. Awaiting the release of their collaborative album, Hasan and Rugged N Raw are rightfully positive and as is typical when Montana and Hasan talk, political new world concepts are explored and resolved throughout the interview. Beat Butcha is currently one of hip hop's most sought after producers. His extensive production work with such artists as Mobb Deep, Sean Price, Keith Murray and Canibus, to name but a few, has solidified him as one of the best beatsmith's the UK has ever offered, with even Redman reaching out to him on our radio show a few months ago. Raised solely by owls, Beat Butcha is a realist and his brutal honesty and, at times tragic, reflections upon the industry, will surely win him respect with all who hear him. He also hopes, one day. to be paid for the Canibus album production he did. AND THAT'S NOT ALL! Adil Omar joins us live from Pakistan for a feature-length discussion regarding his up coming colab work with the likes of Ill Bill, AOTP, Soul Assassins and much more. His new movie, 'Slackistan', directed by BAFTA nominated filmmaker and screenwriter Hammad Khan, is set for global release soon and Adil oozes confidence about his future. If you are not familiar with some of Adil Omar's music then we recommend you search him out and follow one of hip hop's most promising talents. Enjoy! Panda Drum & Bass Mix Show: The Best DNB Tracks Mixed Weekly // Drum and Bass Podcast with Drum 'n' Bass Mixes by a DNB DJ

Agent Alvin - August 2009 Studio Mix Panda presents Agent Alvin. The acclaimed New Zealand Drum N Bass producer is just finishing off collaborations with Viper Recording's own Futurebound which will hit this year. Agent Alvin's single "Don't Look Back" has become a straight-out Drum N Bass hit. Alvin has mixed his most recent work exclusively for Panda Drum N Bass TV. Tune in to hear New Zealand's best. Out now: Agent Alvin - Super Highway (Hospital Records) Out now: Agent Alvin - Wicked Man (Viper Recordings) Out now: Agent Alvin - Don't Look Back (Viper Recordings) Out soon: Agent Alvin & Futurebound - Untitled (Viper Recordings) █ ABOUT █ Music has always been a part of Agent Alvins life. Alvin aka Warren Field was brought up on a steady diet of classical composers, later giving way to the experimentation of jazz, rock, funk and hip-hop. It was in his teens that he picked up the guitar and set upon learning everything he could about the music he was listening to. The guitar would have to give way to samplers and keyboards however when Field caught the rave bug in the late 90`s. His first tune, a laid-back dub affair, was released by New Zealands LOOP recordings, gaining nation-wide airplay and hinting at a sign of things to come. In 2004, he released his debut album on New Zealands Capital Records, featuring Spikey Tee, Ruth Minuit, MC Kyla and Meg Martin to great critical acclaim. The self-titled album was nominated for best Electronic release in New Zealands 2005 B-net Awards. It was around the same time that Alvin released his first Drum & Bass 12 with his debut release on the New Zealand based Random Recordings.

Fast forward to 2006. It was a big year for the Agent, with tunes released on labels as diverse as the legendary Full Cycle, Klute's imprint Commercial Suicide, Gain, G2 and Resin Records. His tunes were getting airplay on the BBC's Radio 1 by Zane Lowe, Grooverider, Annie Mac and Ras Kwame. As well as high radio play, DJ's such as High Contrast, London Electricity, Roni Size, Pendulum, DJ Craze, The Scratch Perverts and countless others have been playing his music all over the world cementing him as a serious player in Drum and Bass. 2008 heralded the debut release for Agent Alvin on the highly regarded Hospital Records.

Super Highway was released on the Friendly Fire EP alongside tracks by Blame, Makoto & T-Ak and Fracture & Survival. This year also saw the release of the massive Wicked Man, featured on the Watch the Ride CD mixed by High Contrast. Wicked Man was picked up by Viper Records and included the long-awaited Dont Look Back on the flip, both of which received support from Radio 1. The Agent has also showed his versatility, with the Autobots picking up two tracks for their Breakbeat label Broke. On the remix tip, the Agent has recently finished tracks for Antiforms Got to be You and The Nomads Sunny Day. Coming up in 2009, look out for a collab with the infamous Futurebound as well as New Zealand's breaks/drum 'n bass rising stars Antiform. 2009 will also herald Agent Alvins first UK/Europe tour.
