Hva kan skole- og utdanningshistorie fortelle oss om dagens skole? Hvordan endte vi opp med den skolen vi har idag, og hvilke ideer og politiske bestemmelser har vært med på å forme den? I de nye doktoravhandlingene til Simon Malkenes og Elise Djupedal, begge to avlagt ved NTNU i fjor høst, og som begge har fått langt mer oppmerksomhet i offentligheten enn hva en gjennomsnittlig doktoravhandling vanligvis får æren av, får vi mer innsikt i noen av de tema og debattene som har vært med på å prege den norske skolen.   Vi snakker om Elises arbeid med timetallsøkninger i grunnskolen, og om Simons utforskning av humankapitalteorier og deres innflytelse på norsk skolepolitikk.    Hva er det egentlig som skjer når skolereformer skal gjennomføres, hvor gjennomtenkt og planlagt er det hele, og hvorfor er det så vanskelig å frigjøre seg fra de reformer som allerede er gjort? Er det kraften i de bedre argumenter som får råde i skoledebatten, eller må vi litt dypere ned i de mer usynlige maktspillene for å forstå hva det er som foregår? Áhrif tollastríðsins sem geisað hefur á alþjóðavettvangi hafa ekki verið mjög mikil á íslensk fyrirtæki heilt yfir. Þó er það misjafnt segir Sigurður Hannesson, framkvæmdastjóri Samtaka iðnaðarins. Mikil og vaxandi óvissa í heimshagkerfinu þýði að stjórnvöld verði að styrkja samkeppnishæfni íslenskra fyrirtækja. Landeigendur og ábúendur á þriðja tug jarða í Húnaþingi hafa bundist samtökum um að hafna áformum Landsnets um lagningu Holtavörðuheiðarlínu 3 um þeirra lönd. Hagsmunasamtök þessara landeigenda voru stofnuð nýlega og þeirra mótmæli snúa að þeim aðalvalkosti sem Landsnet vill fara, sem er svokölluð byggðaleið. Þingflokksformenn Sjálfstæðisflokksins og Miðflokksins settu spurningarmerki við samkomulag sem mennta- og barnamálaráðherra gerði við félags- og húsnæðismálaráðherra, um að hún tæki að sér uppbyggingu hjúkrunarheimila og þjónustuíbúða fyrir eldra fólk. Forsætisráðherra viðurkenndi að þetta væri óvenjuleg ráðstöfun en slíkt væri stundum nauðsynlegt til að hreyfa við hlutunum.

Meira en helmingur fulltrúa í sveitarstjórnum var kosinn fyrsta sinni í síðustu kosningum og horfur á að svo verði aftur í vor. Det er blevet 2026 og holdet er samlet igen til mere såsædsnørderi. I en tid, hvor der ikke sker så meget på markerne bruger Jacob og Ken tiden på planlægning og databehandling, og det sykket vi ned i denne gang. Jacob har taget resultaterne med fra et forsøg med vårhvede og vårbyg, der er lavet i samarbejde med SAGRO. Forsøget er fordelt på to lokationer i Årre og Holstebro. Resultaterne viser store forskelle, som Jacob tilskriver såtidspunktet, jordtypen og jordtemperaturen. Ken har taget et foderroeforsøg med, hvor 15 sorter er afprøvet på forskellige jordtyper. Fem af de seks bedst præsterende sorter kommer fra KWS. Den sort, der har givet det bedste udbytte gav hele 125 tons rod pr. hektar, og forskellene fra top til bund er i øjenfaldende. Ken er også med på sidelinjen ude hos en landmand, der er hoppet med på roerne, hvor der høstet 22-23 tons tørstof pr. hektar, hvilket svarer til 25.000 foderenheder. Det er med andre ord ikke så mærkeligt at flere er blevet nysgerrige på roerne. Vi slutter som altid af med en quiz - og stillingen er nulstillet fra sidste sæson, så der er mulighed for comeback! Tine Aurvig-Huggenberger er 25, da hun får sønnen Daniél med en politisk flygtning fra Uruguay. Da Daniél er bare to år gammel, gentager historien sig, da Tine bliver alene med sin søn.
