BANG! @southernvangard #radio Ep290: COVID-19 Edition 89! First and foremost - REST IN PEACE #SHOCKG of the almighty #DIGITALUNDERGROUND. A true original. Yet another massive loss for hip-hop and music in general this week. Nonetheless, we gotta keep this torch lit, so let’s get it going - gobs of new music this week as always, and our mid-mix interview returns with none other than KAIMBR & SEAN BORN! They have a ridiculously dope project out now called NINO GREEN, you can hear about it from them directly and hear some joints off the project on this episode - and after that you can cop the project on Bandcamp, ok? OK! Our Thursday interview session this week is one of the more interesting to date - Hat Club’s own JUSTIN FARNHAM aka PINK BOTTOM JUS - if you know, you know - if you don’t know, you’re about to. Interview snippets at the end of the mix until the full drops Thursday! This is ta flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast for the weeks of August 8 & 15, 2018 (originally broadcast on the week of January 14, 2015) with some new and classic music from the international Black Diaspora, news and commentary. Our commentary during that this week touched base on how the tragedies in Nigeria (via Boko Haram) & France (via the Charlie Hebdo journalist massacre) were covered by the U.S. mainstream media, Dr. Ben Carson acting up again, Florida police using mugshots of Black male prisoners for target practice, how Run The Jewels is just constantly winning as an indie Hip-Hop crew of folks in their 30s, why are this year's #OscarsSoWhite yet again and why it shouldn't be a surprise, our opposing views of the quality of the Hip-Hop/Music Industry soap opera "Empire" on FOX, Zulu Nation's current expansion with various MCs (including Lil' Wayne) and what it could mean for the Hip-Hop organization's future and some other things here and there. _____ Official FuseBox Radio Broadcast Website: http://www.FuseBoxRadio.com Official FuseBox Radio Broadcast Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/FuseBoxRadioShow FuseBox Radio Playlist for the Weeks of August 8 & 15, 2018 [originally broadcast on the week of January 14, 2015] Top Adds (New Joints Played Live On This Week's Broadcast) [listed by artist/song title/label(s)] 1. Hey peeps sorry for the delay on this episode, we was supposed to have Trife Diesel on the couch for this show but he had to cancel at the last minute, and yes it was the very last minute. Hopefully sometime in the future we'll have him on the show but that left us with a hole so at the last minute I constructed a whole another show that is completely music driven and for some reason I ended up with a lot of Conway songs in the mix purely unintentional but it worked out pretty well seeing he's one of the best out now ( & he's literally everywhere right now.... anyway enjoy and got a lot of new joints in here as well... peace Canibus f DJ JS-1 Authentic Level Of Greatness Chris G - Intro Conway - Biscotti Biscuit DJ M-80 f NY Nik - Short Fuze Freestyle V Don f Westside Gunn - London Fog Kool G Rap x 38 Spesh - Upstate To Queens Eto - Close Ya Mouth Twin Eagles f Conway - The Con Way Tragedy Khadafi x BP f Ali Vegas - The World Is Mine Pawz One x Robin Da Landlord f Prince Po & VegaMonster - On The Daily Termanology f Benny - Bag It Up Volatile f GW - The Premier Napoleon Da Legend - Different Illa Ghee f Skyzoo - Dust Juice Rob Gates - Counting Blessings Golden - Sure Shot ( Bitin Emcees )El Camino - Food Lordz DJ Muggs x MF DOOM f Kool G Rap - Assassination Day Hex One - I'm Gone Conway - Bishop Shot Steel Reks x Shortfyuz - East Coast Party Westside Gunn f Benny & Conway - Brutus Black Thought x 9th Wonder f Styles P - Making A Murderer Ty Farris - One Take Freestyle Azariah x Jae Hu$$le f Tragic - Bigger Picture Chris G - Break Rome Streetz x Farma Beats f Rigz & Mooch - Cobra Clutch Skyzoo - We Want It All Icon Curties f Planet Asia, Lyric Jones & Tristate - Uncontrolled Chaos Trife Diesel f Termanology & TMF - Heavy Duty Jae Hu$$le f Azariah - Stealin My Shine Conway x DJ Green Lantern - Paranoid Hex One - Extraterrestrials Reks x Shortfyuz - Plans / Bread & Roses Dave East f Fabolous - Levelin' Up Realio Sparkzwell f Bliss - Smoking Lamas Apollo Brown x Joell Ortiz - Decisions Conway - Draco Venom f Marquee - Cut The Line Apollo Brown x Locksmith f DJ Los - In My Element Rick Ross f Smif N Wessun - Capone Suite Conway x DJ Green Lantern f El Camino - D Wade Contac - Brisk Pencil Benny f Westside Gunn - Vader Conway - Grimey Sheek Louch f Dave East & Jadakiss - Da Cook Up Elementalz f Trife Diesel, Solomon Childs, Nutso, & Napoleon Da Legend - True Stories Recognize Ali x DJ TMB f Hus Kingpin - City Of Gods Crew54 x Cientifiq f Torae & DJ Modesty - What Can I Say J-Haze f Conway - Hussein On Cocaine Bozack Morris f Conway - Mak 90 Chris G - Outro

Due to some high out of state business as of late (and the exhaustion behind it), here's a flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk episode for the week of October 19, 2017 (originally broadcast for the week of December 3, 2014) with some new and classic music from the international Black Diaspora, news and commentary. Our commentary during that week (it takes up the 1st half of the radio show; stops at about 1 hour & 25 minutes in) touched base on the travesty of the grand jury's verdict in Ferguson, MO with the killing of Michael Brown & it's after effects (the very tilted mainstream media coverage here in the States post-verdict, racists & respectability politics folks coming out from multiple angles, how it has resparked activism all over the U.S. and more), the new & old charges of sexual assault against actor Bill Cosby, some quick pop culture news items of interest (including Marvel Comics dropping a "Black Panther" movie in the upcoming future) and some other things here & there. Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast over at our official blog, BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly. Due to a constant stream out of state business (and the exhaustion behind it), here's a flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk episode for the weeks of Sept. 21 & 28, 2017 (originally broadcast on the week of January 14, 2015) with some new and classic music from the international Black Diaspora, news and commentary. Our extended commentary during that week (it takes up about the 1st hour & 19 minutes of the radio show) touched base on how the tragedies in Nigeria (via Boko Haram) & France (via the Charlie Hebdo journalist massacre) were covered by the U.S. mainstream media, Dr. There is no new new Black Agenda Report segment on this week's show due to our extended commentary. Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast over at our official blog, BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly. He told Tim why he's content with his career status thus far: "If you win, it must be boring. A guy like Jay-Z, I can't imagine how he would just sit in the studio and really have a great vibe to make an album because a lot of the great music and hip-hop, it came from struggle. "It Is What It Isn't"  boasts an impressive line up of over 45 artists and a total of 21 songs, many of which become the subject of discussion in a revealing interview. Hear the making of such tracks as "It Is What It Isn't", "Whatever It Takes", "Soo Real" among others and find out why a planned song with Akrobatik and Jeru The Damaja didn't make the album. Will JS-1 and OC collaborate for a full length project one day? Listen and find out. Author Brian Coleman shares his technique of putting together "Check The Technique Volume 2", his third book in a series, with a detailed history of classic Hip Hop LP's coupled by track-by-track break down of the songs by the artists themselves. In an attempt to get closer to the fly on the wall experience of documenting some of these albums we talk the process of exploring albums such as "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper", " A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing", "Funcrusher Plus", "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" and much more! Apollo Brown takes to Conspiracy Worldwide Radio to discuss and promote his new collaborative LP with Ras Kass "Blasphemy", breaking down the making behind several of the LP's tracks and inspiration for them. We also touch on his many upcoming projects, which will include a compilation, a "surprise" EP with a Mello-Music artist, a track with KA and more. Viper Records' Hasan Salaam joins us to celebrate the final chapter in his trilogy, namely, "Life In Black And  White" and explains why it reflects a feeling of a life as opposed to a moment like his other projects. We also touch upon the inspiration behind the Immortal Technique assisted lead single "Jericho", politics, working with producers in the UK including CWR affiliate Cross-Bone-T, the future of Viper Records and more. Genesis Elijah joins us to publicly detail the until now largely private process behind his quadruple EP "Private Moments In Public". We talk and explore the conception behind the project, which he reveals was initiated by an argument with his girlfriend, the power of social media, experimentation, working with Fliptrix for the track "The Return", recording "Underground King" remix and more, including a forthcoming project with Brown Bag All-Stars producer The Audible Doctor. The ever quirky Busdriver makes his debut appearance on the show and walk's us through the creation of his latest opus "Perfect Hair" and speaks of ambitions of working with Matt Groening. We also talk working with Open Mic Eagle,  Danny Brown, Hellfyre Club and more. AND THAT'S NOT ALL! His new single I Made A Difference (Haiti Benefit Song) features a who's who of artists all of which will see the proceeds of their contribution's go to the Sean Penn's Organization for Haiti. Interestingly enough, it wasn't however in every artist Cormega reached out to to make the same difference. Many artists dismissed the cause and nature of the song, some not returning calls and emails. In this engaging and eye-opening two part interview, Mega gives us an update on the current state of Haiti and talks about creating I Made A Difference, explaining why Nature choosing to not contribute was more justifiable than other rappers reasons not to. We are also told that Immortal Technique recorded a verse but didn't make the final cut due to timing. Furthermore, he addresses the forthcoming x2 CD project Raw Forever, explaining its concept and how The Best Of disc's track selection was chosen, being critical of his work (Dead Man Walking), his favourite track(s) and his band The Revelations. Furthermore, we are given the lowdown on his upcoming album and its status, including details of a controversial track produced by Large Professor and so much more. A must hear interview! In an overdue update, Jeanius touches on DJ Drama hosting Cookies Or Comas being a move implemented by her label and the mixtapes response so far, as well as the space she's been in creatively lately. We also discuss her much anticipated Eddie Izzard inspired album Cake Or Death, Eddie Izzard's influence on her style and substance, maturity in hip hop, the production and live instrumentation on her album, collaborating with Lil B, punching babies and much more! C-Rayz-Walz is as rejuvenated as you would imagine, delivering his first non-freestyled interview and first radio interview in over two years. Having had time away to reflect on his bars and re-evaluate his existence, Walz is now in what we call phase 2 of his artistry and career. This becomes apparent after Walz breaking down the several projects slated for release including, All Black Everything: The Prelude (two tracks of which we play including an exclusive taken off the project) which will serve as a pre-cursor to the album All Black Everything LP. Walz also reveals plans of potentially dropping an album every month and collaborative albums with Large Professor and a sequel to Freestyle vs. Written with Supernatural entitled Rock The Bells. He also touches on his desire to sign to Rhyme Sayers, memories of Eydea and more. Although, perhaps the biggest surprise came in the news that he and Vast Aire have talked about releasing a Definitive Jux concept album, based on their experiences with the legendary label. 2011 is looking to be the year of the beast all over again. DJ JS-1 marches onto the show to join Cormega in a conference call, exploring the concept behind his new album Ground Original: No One Cares, which features a who's who of incredible artists. This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of July 21, 2010 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary. This week's show commentary focused on the utterly ridiculous mini-drama of the forced resignation of USDA worker Shirley Sherrod after false accusations of racism during an old NAACP speech via the right-wing news media (and how pitifully the Obama Administration, national NAACP and other news outlets fell for it without doing their own research), news of podcasts currently making up 1/2 of the 'net radio listening audience, not being able to trademark different names for weed/pot/marijuana in the United States and some other things here and there. Besides this week's brand new Black Agenda Report segment on the FuseBox Radio Broadcast, we also have a special 40 min. interview segment from Dr. Jared Ball & the "Jazz & Justice" Show from WPFW 89.3 FM in Washington, DC (gained via VoxUnion.com). The interview segment features Professor Houston A. Baker (author of the book "Betrayal: How Black Intellectuals Have Abandoned the Ideals of the Civil Rights Era") discussing his viewpoint about the ways in which leading Black intellectuals have “abandoned the ideals of the Civil Rights era” along with Pres. Obama’s impact in the United States, viable Black political and/or intellectual leadership in the public sphere, what's missing from the perspective of political organizations and more! Killah Priest swoops in full of life and energy to prelude his sophomore upcoming 2CD album, his new mixtapes, his DVDs and of course his participation within the Wu Tang Clan in 2009. Bizarrely, although contributors to the new Wu Tang Chamber Music Vol 1. neither U-God or Killah Priest really knew what the project is all about.
