Believe that you matter- what you do, say, watch, listen to, who you follow, you let influence you, matters!!There are studies that show that what we watch actually can affect your thinking, preferences and even cognitive ability…. And what we listen to can influence us alot…it can impact illness, depression, spending, productivity, and the perception of our world. This is from worldly studies…not christian ones. Talking about the impact of what we watch….do you watch inappropriate shows or movies? Or maybe you watch horror films…opening the door to all kinds of crazy in your home. The spiritual world is real people! WE can't take it lightly! We are supposed to be in the world, not of the world. I particularly think music is crazy impactful. I think it's because WORSHIP is so impactful. We were created to bring Him praise and so the enemy(very first worship leader in the world) knows the influence it can have and as such has created a worldly market of basically filth, and has us singing along to craziness and then with that same mouth praising God on Sundays…. Eeek.I know this is more of a conviction for me because my heart leans toward worship so i'm more sensitive to it…again listen to the Holy Spirit's promptings!Ephesians 4:29- Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs. That it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit.A quote I saw when I searched on the google “what does it mean to grieve the HOly Spirit said this: “ When we, deliberately or inadvertently, behave in a way that is contrary to our spiritual improvement it grieves the Holy Spirit; in the same way that a loving parent is grieved when his or her child behaves in a self-destructive manner”Grab the Digital products here>> https://stan.store/mrsangelapitnikoffListen to more about the swearing topic here> https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/keep-it-100-with-sean-christa-smith/id1515420611?i=1000630017117Be encouraged, challenged and blessed today!!✨Come hang with me on IG- https://www.instagram.com/mrsangelapitnikoff/✨Join our FB sisterhood!- https://www.facebook.com/groups/kingdomdaughterssisterhood✨Be more amazing and leave a review!- https://lovethepodcast.com/LoHGyj✨Want some fun free resources? This episode is all about something that we tend to think is not a big deal or something we don't give much second thought to–what we read, watch, and listen to. Why should we be aware of what we read, watch, and listen to? How can those things affect us? We talk about our personal experiences with media consumption and struggles, and what the Bible says about what we read, watch, and listen to. We close with six general principles for media consumption and evaluation through a gospel-centered perspective. CLICK HERE FOR THIS EPISODE'S SHOW NOTES FREEBIES FOR YOU: Are We On the Same Page? We all know that, to stay fit and healthy, we have to be very careful about what we eat and drink. The same principle applies to our emotional, psychological and spiritual health - what we consume makes a huge difference to our well-being.We are being deluged with bad news, macabre projections and scare-mongering from the media at the moment and, unless we are very careful about what we allow into our minds and spirits, we are in grave danger of sliding into fear and depression. The positive alternative is to deliberately fill our eyes and ears with those things that are pure, true, noble, praiseworthy and excellent. This will give us hope and build our faith.

In Episode 4, I spoke with professional fitter and elite trainer, Jerry Gerlich. When we connected for our pre-meeting, I sincerely wanted to describe Jerry as the "MacGyver" of bike fitting with his cavalcade of intricate and sometimes odd tools and his solution-focused philosophy that endeavors for answers in non-traditional formats, but as we traversed his bike fitting journey, two main topics arose: watch and listen. The pod will describe it, but Jerry went from investing in the leading technology in fitting back in 2005 to now where his assessment and treatment relies heavily on the ears and eyes. He listens to the sound of pedaling, the cadence and the rhythm of the chain. He intently observes the cyclist; the patterns, body movement and global functioning on the bike.
