She is the owner of Scottsdale Premier Counseling, in Scottsdale, Arizona. At her private practice, she treats young adults, individuals, couples, and families. Her mission is to break through the mental health shame game. With over 20 years of experience specializing in the treatment of Body Image and Eating Disorders, Dr. Francis empowers you to make peace with your body and food. Her online body image course, “Bye Bye Body Blame: You Deserve to Love Your Body Without Having To Lose Weight” teaches you how to stop dieting once and for all. In February of 2020, Dr. Francis launched a free mental health service called Mindful “text” Messages that go straight to your phone.     I wish I had these two women in my life when I was 15 years old. I know many moms who listen to this show so I wanted to bring these two special humans on to share how they are imapcting and faciltating growth in the next generation. Jill Petersen is an experienced coach and former leader at lululemon for nearly a decade. Her superpower lies within connecting and building trust quickly to overcome self-doubt and help people find their greatness. Jill holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communication) and (Mass Communication) from Arizona State University, as well as receiving a certificate in Mindfulness Leadership. She is Yoga Alliance, 200-hour certified yoga and mindfulness teacher. Jill has experienced firsthand the importance of a mind, body and soul approach to both every day wellness and the achievement of accomplishing goals. She believes, “Uncommon results begin with an uncommon mindset.” She gets excited about the opportunity to make an impact with girls and help them pair their feelings work for them, not against them. Mary Frances is an avid community supporter, adult cheerleader, experienced coach and leader. Part of her joy as a mentor is not just being the one who leads, but also having the ability to raise others up in order to live into their own leadership potential. She has a BS from ASU in Exercise and Wellness as well as an MBA in the school of hard knocks. She officially started her entrepreneurship journey as a certified Crossfit L2 coach and gym owner where she worked with hundreds of kids, teens and adults not only teaching them the basics of fitness but also the skills of habit formation, community, mental toughness, personal responsibility, goal setting and leadership.     Today's guest is Meagan Cole she lives in Halifax Nova Scotia with her husband and 2 little boys. She has been a pediatric registered nurse for 13 years. Growing up she was always the natural caregiver and has always loved helping people, becoming a nurse only made sense. Halfway into her career, she knew this was not how she wanted to spend the rest of her life working full-time shift work in a hospital so she started to look for something else. Her entrepreneurial journey began with a network marketing company and this opened her eyes to the world of self development. Meagan became obsessed with working to improve herself so that she could help others in ways outside of nursing. Last year Meagan started hosting women's self development events and workshops which have grown in size and popularity since. Alongside growing her event business she launched an apparel line called Rise Up Shine Bright which is designed for the woman who knows she's made for more. Meagan says investing time and money in self development are the best ways to to make the most out of this short life we have on earth!     31: My Half Marathon Journey

    My half marathon got canceled that was in 2 weeks. ⁣ ⁣ Do you know when you just feel stuck? Like blah and not fully alive? That was me when I decided to train for the half marathon. ⁣ ⁣ I spent a few years not doing the things that I used to do, not doing the things that lit me up, putting myself on the back burner, not speaking up for what I needed, and not doing the spontaneous things that I love doing.⁣ ⁣ When I realized I lost myself along the way in a relationship I grabbed myself by the horns and made the changes I wanted to see in 4 aspects of my life. Because I DESERVE IT & SO DO YOU. ⁣ ⁣ 🤗Mentally- seeing my therapist weekly⁣, daily nature walks, journaling. 💕Emotionally- investing time & energy into deeper friendships, speaking for what I need, feeling the feels.⁣ 🙏🏼Spiritually- Daily meditation, prayer quiet time⁣ 🏃🏼‍♀️Physically- Half marathon training, yoga 2x a week, daily dance parties.⁣ ⁣ The last 8 months have not been the easiest but so healing. I am feeling full, grateful and in alignment with my truth and power again. ⁣ ⁣ When you fill-up your cup ruthlessly, all the other areas of your life expand, grow and become full.⁣ ⁣ Today I took a bunny hop alone around town for Easter and ended up knocking out the half marathon I've been training for and feeling physically STRONG!⁣ ⁣ 3 things I learned while training for my half:⁣ ✨When you stop running you'll most likely pee⁣ ✨Running is 80% mindset 20% strength⁣ ✨My feet will need to be rubbed for the next month⁣ ⁣ Maybe running isn't your thing- I get it. I encourage you to get curious on what is something you've always wanted to do, be, accomplish? GO DO IT. YOU ARE ALIVE TO THRIVE. I stayed in my pajamas, worked from my couch, my bed, my kitchen counter, did laundry, mowed the lawn between client calls, skipped lunch (because #norules), dusted and swept the entire hours when I wanted to... yeah a complete multi-tasked shit show. I've had 8 clients this week transition their work to working at home tell me how they are feeling & I've got a feeling you are feeling the same way. You are feeling unsure about how to manage time.. You are worried you won't be productive.. You have your kids at home with you now...WTH You feel you are going to eat more because you are at home.. You are experiencing some loneliness.. I hear you.
