Doesn't God have a unique and profound way of getting his message across to you or me? He could use a person, his word, through a song, or something that catches your attention be it a newspaper article or a phone call. Well, I got confirmation of what I was asking God for in 2025 by just listening to Elder Angela today. Her words echoed and my spirit was lifted. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)This live episode might just be the spark to get you going. Elder Angela not only backs this up with scriptures but with some tips too. Give your plans to God be it long term or short term and ask Him through all stages of planning, layouts and strategies to assist you. I came across this and this stuck with me a quote - True wisdom does not come from knowledge or power. It comes from God alone. As we are already in the fourth month, it's not too late to put your plans to paper and into action. Ask God to lead you. Pray it through. Activate and watch God do. I remember my late mom use to say - If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try another way again. Ask the Spirit of the Lord to lead and advise you. Present your plans to the Lord, in order for it to succeed. Should you detour, or things don't work out as you planned, ask God where it went wrong and repent for not including Him in all of your decision planning. Lean not on your own understanding but lean into the activity that God wishes the vision to be. With God's vision comes Provision.Thank you for tuning in to our live edition and may God bless you. Did you know that there is "Power in Giving Thanks?" Meet Jesus in the Gospel of Mark when everything else swirls out of your control. When you're weak with stress and driving yourself insane trying to solve everything. When last have you or I practiced "Thanksgiving?" Not only the holiday or the event but joyfully everyday be thankful, grateful with a lot more praise . Now how you ask can I be thankful for disasters, wars, unknown diseases and any other calamities that seems surreal. Well, God has a part in fact His teaching us from the start, that He created the universe, the heavens and the earth but we have gotten so greedy that we want to change even the creation of things. Be grateful in all of your circumstances and thank God, read the word, speak more to God for at the right time the opportune time, He will give you a word, that will calm you, bring you peace so you can delight in him and thank him for seeing to your piercing and pressing need. You could be facing a season of setbacks or cutbacks but whatever your season is, its a pruning season where God is challenging you, stripping you, speaking to you, setting aside whats for you. Though uncomfortable at times and painful, He is making sure that in there is acceptance for you, room at the table for you, working on your character and even if it feels prickly and sore, its springing forth a fruit which is commendable to the fruits of the Spirit, which needs to be reprogrammed, retweeted, reshaped, recultivated to stimulate new growth new birth new dawn from you. So get ready to produce what will amaze others with your fresh fruit. So let us take a step back and reassess where God is pruning you. It may hurt, it may cut like a knife but it will produce something that can be a step up or a stepping stone for something greater which I or you could not foresee. God has not forgotten thee. For all we know failure may even be the catalyst to push yourself beyond your comfort zone to try new approaches when to you it felt there was none. May this devotion When Setbacks Come strive you to lean more on Him, from whence your help comes from and trust God for more confidence when coming to him. Ever felt like all of hope is lost. Time's running out, you clinging, holding on still believing and yet you only human, so a thought projects 'What now?' We've all been there but today Elder Angela shares what this song by Hillsong means to her. 'With All I Am.' It is a reminder of how deep the Father's love is. It's a reminder that no matter how deep we fall or fail, His all knowing, all seeing, all feeling and above 'All things, so stand firm, stand tall.' It's committing everything including ourselves to Him. So tune in to hear the 'Now word of the Lord.' May this word and song speak to you as it does to me. May you proclaim that in 'All Things', he is God and God alone. He is ageless changeless and an Understanding God when we cave in. Everything and everyone can and will change but God doesn't change. So, may the sweet fragrance of God's goodness and grace be your double portion this day. In His love and grace. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/into-the-garden/message
The question is 'What goodness are you thankful for? For surely the Lord has been good to thee. From today be open to God's goodness to flood thee, running after thee and overtaking thee. Don't dwell on your situation but praise and thank Him for the outcome. If fear is forgetting, the antidote is remembering. Remembering how He saved you, paid your bills, made a way when it felt like no light at the end of the tunnel, the goodness, the graciousness, the character and the promises of God made a way. So, lean not on your own understanding but lean on him, rest in him and let God do His thing. Grow in God. Become in God. Exalt in God and give Praise to God and let's become Greater in God. Nothing broken. Nothing lacking. Nothing missing. Be open to this word by Elder Angela Morris as the Goodness of God flows to you. So pass this on to everyone in need of this word. We out to proclaim the mighty works of Jesus's power. Many a times our focus gets redirected to Easter eggs and treats thus losing out on the real true meaning. Up up from the grave He arose, like a Mighty triumphant o're his foes. He arose a Victor from the dark domain. And He lives forever with His Saints to reign. So whilst compiling this episode this song comes to mind. Up from the grave He arose. So, you too can be raised up from your unfortunate circumstances, but keep your eyes on Him. Many a times we accept old behaviors as normal thus continuing the same old routine but Jesus resurrected, so you can be resurrected from old belief systems too. Tune in to hear our devotion with Elder Angela as she shares more on the Resurrected power today. May we receive the Resurrection power of life of our Red Sea moments of our valley high and valley low moments our desert and despair moments because the same Ressurection power of Jesus lives inside you and me. Elder Angela Morris shares a devotion by Rick Warren. So incline your ear to the word of the Lord. Lord open our ears to hear and turn our hearts to thee. If you or I want to grow, then saying 'No' is a lesson well learned. Amongst us are givers or takers, builders or destroyers, life givers or life drainers. We all carry weight in our lives. Some more than others hence toxic and attaching themselves because you've been blindsided by Yes when your Yes, should have been a No. Let's be honest I'm one of them and have knocked my head more than once and maybe you too. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew and when we get to the end of our rope, it destroys your health, your sanity and threatens marriages, family and business. In reality what happened to you? That once sold out became a drop out, the fire inside of you became low and this to whom you said Yes, sat back and watch you side tracked. You might hate saying 'No', but it could lead you on the road of feeling Powerful rather than destructive. You and I are not Superwomen and setting boundaries and saying No is a good thing. Saying no, even if its the hardest thing to do, frees me and you to saying 'Yes' to what really matters. And that's a beautiful thing. Distractions and weights are everywhere even close to home. May God give us the Courage to say 'No' to time wasters and things that are keeping us from saying 'Yes' to the Best that God has for you and me. Let your Yes be Yes and your No be No. Let those whom you say No, receive it in love and move on. In His Love and Grace. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/into-the-garden/message
Tune in today to be reminded why we should serve. Elder Angela Morris speaks to us about the importance of serving others. Proverbs 3:27 says "Do not withold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.' What is our motivation? To serve out of obligation or point others to Jesus and walk the distance. For God sees and looks at the condition of our hearts and whether He is pleased. Do we serve from a Spirit of love or from a grumbling complaining spirit that speaks from under our breaths if you know what I mean? Let's face it, we come across people who aren't easy to love, much less serve. You see in all walks of life you'll come across selfish people, proud people, those judgemental and those downright difficult. Now, if Jesus could do it, so can you and I, by asking God for a Servants heart. So let's challenge ourselves this week to serve others no matter how big or small and ask God to change our hearts. Have a favourable week. In His love and grace. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/into-the-garden/message

When you ignore the prompting of not asking or inviting God into the process of decision making, you suffer loss. For according to Exodus 3:7-8 God sees, He hears, He's concerned and He rescues. So as you tune in today hear the word of the Lord - Right choices win and wrong choices loose. Be Blessed by this teaching. May God take us by the hand and lead us into the Promised land. Host Salomé Jacobs uses this platform to touch upon themes that affects us each individually and on a whole. From loss, illness and grief, from marriage to divorce, abuse and trauma also the questions that many asks but does it really pertain to you and me and is there sincerity? Grief affects each person differently. We say 'Good grief' meaning you surprised. Grief is a noun meaning sorrow, pain, sadness, agony. But what is grief in Hebrew? There are a few examples but these 3 stand out. Atzav, the action to grieve, Ka'as, the physical reaction from grief, such as vexation(being worried, angry, irritable, frustrated or annoyed) and Tugah, experiencing grief as a result of torment. The bible expresses and captures each person's feelings and grief be it man or woman. Eg, David was troubled and battled a deep despair. In the book of Psalms, he writes about his fear, the loneliness, the guilt, how he felt after the loss of his 2 sons. Ps. 42:11 Why so downcast, o my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God. Let this be a comfort to you and me. Elder Angela Morris takes it a step further so stay tuned and incline thine ear to hear. Let every ear hear and every heart be open and receptive to thy word. As you go through life's storms and struggles know that their were Men and Women who already went through it, faced it and came out strong. May this episode help you through bereavement or any other issues you have to stand firm, cry out and embrace the love of God. Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for sharing but most of all Thank you for spreading the love of God. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/into-the-garden/message

One of the things I fundamentally believe about people with BPD is that we have the ability to create and imagine in ways that most people don't have. This makes us superrrrr creative where business is concerned - although being self-employed as a person with BPD and mental illness as a whole is much harder. Today Sara talks with Angela Morris, a person who lives with a variety of mental health conditions, and has built her business as a digital marketing strategist, feminist copywriter, and social media coach around how to support people to build their business without burning out. We talk about the impact of mental health on our careers and how to build businesses that work WITH us instead of against us. In this episode, I have a conversation with Angela Morris about discovering the inner power of our environments, both our physical and inner landscape. We dive into the world of Feng Shui and the power of our environments to impact our mood and energy. My guest, Angela Morris, shares her journey of discovering the beauty of working with what we have and rearranging our surroundings to work for us. Angela shares how Feng Shui can play a huge part in healing, and how balance in our environment can have a restorative effect on our bodies. She was trained by us at the International Feng Shui School, and she was trained in Classical Feng Shui but explained how it is so much more than just the number. She also speaks about her recent property purchase, and how connecting with the land and her Celtic ancestry has led her to a deeper understanding of the power of the earth's energy. She also discusses her calling to join the Divine Woman Awakening Program, which has taken her on a journey of deepening her consciousness, exploring intimate Celtic traditions and rituals, and discovering her spiritual awakening. To maintain inner and outer balance, Angela shares her self-care and self-compassion practices, including how she acts as a bridge between good and bad and hears Spirit flowing through her body, guiding her into her own light. And to end the episode, my Goddess Angela shares three tips for grounding ourselves, staying balanced, and tapping into the collective consciousness. If you want to deepen your connection with the Divine energies and gain insights into self-awareness, this episode is packed with wisdom that will inspire and empower you.
Today Meghan sits down wththe extraordinary author Angela Morris. She talks about how her ADHD diagnosis impacts her understanding of her own grief, and the profound secondary loss of friendship particularly in non-death loss. More about Angela: After the death of her father, friend and grandmother in quick succession, Angela needed a channel to grieve these profound losses. Writing has always been her lifeline through hard times, and grief from the loss of her loved ones was no different. Seeing how this helped her, Angela began to help others with their grief through her reflective writing on her social media channels. Angela offers people a soft space to land as they navigate their grief without judgement. She provides reflective writing for grievers who have lost something or someone dear to them. They walk together differently through their healing journey of learning to grow with their grief, not move on from it. Love Notes to Grievers is available for pre-order and comes out on June 13th, 2023 WWW.ANGELAEMORRIS.COM INSTAGRAM: @ANGELAEMMAMORRIS
Buckle your seatbelt! If you like controversial hot takes about social media, sex work, mental health and feminism, this episode is for you! I'm joined by Angela Morris, Social Media Strategist, to talk about the origins of social media platforms founded and run by cis, white, het men… AND how they are built upon the unpaid labor of women who those same platforms ultimately censor and shadow-ban. We discuss sex workers' influence on the popularity of social media itself, and the parallels between them and feminist entrepreneurs marketing their businesses on social media (turns out we're not so different in the eyes of Mark Zuckerberg). Angela's passion for helping women and queer folks to reclaim their time, energy and mental health from the pitfalls of social media has led her to create a program called Quiet Quitting Instagram. You're definitely going to want to hear about it, and you'll be thinking about this episode long after you've finished listening. We went both deep and wide in this far-reaching conversation about intent vs. impact, manipulative marketing (including a mini case study on a recent IG post), being socialized with overt racism, what our culture constitutes as believable and trustworthy and sooooo much more! All of our North Texas hospitals serve the communities surrounding them. They are also incredible economic drivers of employment and many service-related businesses that support them. Healthcare is a valuable community-based service that often affects lifestyle, not just health. Angela Morris, Senior Director, Community Relations at Parkland Health & Hospital System joins us to describe the vast reach Parkland has across North Texas, especially in Dallas County. We turn our sites for the second half of the show to another major community-related issue and that is Domestic Violence, often called “DV.”We are joined by Cindy Burnette, the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners) Program Director at Texas Health Resources and Sheyla Camacho, Public Health Educator, Victim Intervention Program (VIP)/Rape Crisis Center at Parkland Health & Hospital System to advise what your options are if you or someone you know & love is involved in DV. Do people have the ability to change? It's an age-old question that most answer with a firm no! Yet, with enough growth, self-love, and worthiness the answer is always YES! Angela Morris is living proof that change is possible at any age and under any circumstance! After decades of drug and alcohol abuse, Angela was shaken awake at the beginning of the pandemic and had to make the ultimate choice: continue to hustle for her worth outside of herself or do the hard work to turn on her emotions, heal, and answer her life's purpose, which now involves coaching women to shift their mindset and own who they are. Angela walks us through the anxiety she faced, how she focused on her children and not herself, and how readiness and accountability are the most important factors when looking at and making change. What started as a medical crisis ended up becoming the dawning of her soul. How can we help our kids develop peaceful relationships with their bodies and appearances in a hostile culture that overemphasizes conformity? How can we join in our children's joyful self-expression without perpetuating problematic beauty norms? In this episode, Angela and I share some strategies for validating the feelings children bring to their self-expression. We also talk about what it means to DO beauty vs. BE beautiful, and why the distinction matters for identity development. You'll leave with some scripts and considerations that will help you respond to your child next time they ask, "Am I beautiful?"
We want an equitable future where everyone can flourish. Beauty standards, though, have been used as a weapon against women, especially women with non-dominant identities. In this episode, Angela shares more about the modern history of beauty standards in the US so we can resist the problematic ways they continue to impact in our lives and culture.
Beauty standards are problematic. They are rooted in oppressive systems like misogyny, racism, and transphobia. As a result, our clothing and beauty choices are often fraught. On the other hand, our daily decisions present a powerful opportunity to show up as ourselves. Many kids pick up on this instinctively. In this series, writer, speaker, mother, and make-up artist Angela Morris and I talk about how we can help our kids develop empowering, joyful relationships to beauty as a form of self-expression.Listen in to hear how we can cultivate beauty freedom in ourselves and our children.
Not many people can say they went from an Agnostic/Atheist upbringing, to being married in a Jewish Synagogue, to converting to Christianity, to leaving organized religion altogether. My guest this week, Angela Morris, is truly a gem of a human with an incredibly unique story. She describes herself as a makeup artist, writer, social media manager, coach, and trauma recovery nerd. We chat about everything from the realizations that come from moving cross-country, to the harm Christianity can do to the vulnerable, to what God looks like, to how doing makeup can literally change women, non-binary, and trans folks' lives. Angela's unique faith journey, her resiliency to a patriarchal system stacked against her, and her overall bad assery are sure to inspire you.
