Dazwischen liegen einige Debüts, so der erste Sieg als Bundesligatrainer für Marco Rose an alter Wirkungsstätte beim Aufeinandertreffen mit seinem sehr guten Freund Sandro Schwarz, der den Gegner coacht; und auch der erste Bundesligatreffer des Stefan Lainer, den Rose aus Salzburg mitbrachte und der als Musterschüler des Hecking-Nachfolgers gilt; auch schießt Breel Embolo seinen ersten Treffer im blau-gelben Auswärtsdress der Borussia und lässt die Fans weiter von neuer Wucht im Sturm träumen; Alessane Plea kann ebenfalls seinen ersten Saisontreffer verbuchen, einen Freistoß; eine Premiere in dieser Saison ist auch der Einsatz des "Fußballgottes" Tony Jantschke, der erwartbar solide Arbeit ableistet.
