Anand Gopalan, CEO & Co-Founder Vayu Robotics joined Grayson Brulte on The Road to Autonomy podcast to discuss the dawn of a new era in robotics and autonomous systems. Anand believes the industry is on the cusp of a breakthrough, moving from fragmented point solutions to horizontal intelligence applicable across various robotic applications.Vayu's approach focuses on developing high-quality, low-cost autonomous systems. Vayu achieves this through innovative passive sensing technology, which extracts multiple properties of light beyond just intensity, inspired by biological systems. This method allows for robust perception without the energy inefficiency and detectability issues of active sensors like LiDARS.The company utilizes low-power ARM processors instead of expensive GPU clusters, significantly reducing both cost and energy consumption. This efficiency enables Vayu's robots to operate for 6-8 hours on a single battery charge, dramatically lowering the carbon footprint of goods movement.Anand emphasizes the importance of foundation models in robotics, but highlights the challenges of data scarcity and edge computing. Vayu addresses these issues through intelligent use of synthetic data generated in gaming-like simulators, focusing on domain-independent aspects of movement and interaction. The conversation touches on the broad applicability of Vayu's technology, from defense to various commercial sectors. Deploying the same intelligence across multiple applications creates significant growth and business opportunities. As a business Vayu is focused on drastically reducing hardware costs, and building robotics that can transform a capital-intensive industry to one with rapid return on investment. He envisions Vayu monetizing its intelligence and hardware reference designs rather than becoming a robotics operations business. In closing the conversation Anand suggests robotics are entering a golden age, driven by new tools and the ability to solve real economic problems. He encourages listeners and viewers to recognize this potential while remaining grounded in addressing the hard technical challenges of edge computing, cost reduction, and energy efficiency.Recorded on Thursday, June 27, 2024Episode Chapters0:00 Current State of the Robotics Market4:58 Cost of Sensors9:27 Cost of Labor Accelerating the Adoption of Autonomy13:29 Value of Robotic Autonomy 15:19 Lower Power Chips vs GPUs17:03 Energy Efficiency 21:03 Passive Sensing 27:43 AI Foundational Models31:40 Simulation 37:45 Vayu Business--------About The Road to AutonomyThe Road to Autonomy® is a leading source of data, insight and commentary on autonomous vehicles/trucks and the emerging autonomy economy™. This meditation practice will use a variety of different Pranayama techniques to connect with the wind element and utilise the delivery of Prana, (life force to heal, inspire and transform our physical, energetic and mental forms) to find your way back home at your true centre, your heart. The element of Wind is Vayu in Sanskrit. The movement of Wind that carries the sacred symbolism of communication, breath and life across that planet and within us. Our life force, Prana, uses the breath as a vehicle, as we breath in and out. Preforming Pranayama in meditation practice is managing Prana, the vital life force that animates all levels of being. Where your attention goes, Prana will follow. Focusing the mind to cultivate a clear path for Prana to flow to guide the mind back home within it's body becomes the goal of meditation. Prana enables the body to move, heal, regenerate as well as enables the mind to think. Prana is said to be the intelligence that coordinates our senses, help digest information and release that which doesn't serve us any longer. We inhale oxygen and then exhale carbon dioxide, this is call respiration. Yogis experienced this as the Prana Vayus, direction of winds that move life force within the body.Pran Vayu – receiving PranaSamana Vayu – digesting, absorbing & assimilating that PranaVyana Vayu – distributing & circulating that PranaApana Vayu – eliminating the byproduct, waste Udana Vayu – the positive effects of the other Vayus, uplifts, inspires & ascends in the form of epiphanies, awakening and enlightenmentOpen these channels of communication so your Life Force, Prana, can deliver essential information to maintain the homeostasis of the Physical, Energetic and Mental Bodies. Your meditation Asana is a great tool to improve the quality of your breath and effectively move Prana, tapping into the Vayus enhancing and directing the flow of winds throughout your embodied practice. As a result, you should feel invigorated, energised yet access to an expanded inner awareness that opens you to your higher state of consciousness, specifically within your own centre…your heart. The abode of the wind element is said to be in the, Anahata Chakra, the heart centre. This is where it is said that the winds carry our curiosity, wonderment, our joy to experience life as well as love, delight, kindness, tenderness, compassion, gratitude, contentment and empathy. When the winds are like a Rajasic tornado or a storm, we feel jealousy, possessiveness, obsessive, co-dependency, very critical, judgemental, resentful and a lack of empathy. When the winds are stagnant we feel that lifeless, motionless Tamasic energy of sadness, loneliness, grief, hurt, sorrow. This is one reason why the movement of breath is so important to the practice of Yoga. To manage the flow of Prana, opening the channels of Winds to carry your heart-mind into a place where you feel safe, loved, belonged and connected to source that leads you to your own awakening at your centre. To read more and to practice with Zephyr Wildman, click here. This Vinyasa Practice is like doing Pranayama disguised as Asana. We will be moving in a variety of standing poses using different Pranayama techniques to connect with the wind element and utilise the delivery of Prana, (life force to heal, inspire and transform our physical, energetic and mental forms) to find our way back home at our true centre, our heart. The element of Wind is Vayu in Sanskrit. The movement of Wind that carries the sacred symbolism of communication, breath and life across that planet and within us. Our life force, Prana uses the breath as a vehicle, as we breath in and out. We all know Yoga is more than just flexibility or strength in postures; it is the management of Prana, the vital life force that animates all levels of being. Prana enables the body to move, heal, regenerate as well as enables the mind to think. Prana is said to be the intelligence that coordinates our senses and helps digest information and release that which doesn't serve us any longer. Asana is a great tool to improve the quality of your breath and effectively move Prana, tapping into the Vayus enhancing and directing the flow of winds throughout your embodied practice. As a result, you should feel invigorated, energised and find access to an expanded inner awareness that opens you to your higher state of consciousness, specifically within your own centre…your heart. This meditation will use different Pranayama Kriyas to heighten focus on the inhale pattern Pran Vayu, and to utilise Prana to heal, inspire and transform. We are going to focus on PRAN VAYU, which is the movement inwards (drawn in) of the fundamental energising force of our vital energy. The easiest way we can receive Prana is through the inhale, however we can receive Prana from nutrient rich foods, water, the sun, being in nature, around good stimulating people, learning and reading new things. We can have a direct sensory experience of this Vayu by inhaling, feeling prana being drawn into the chest, the region of the lungs and the anahata chakra as you fill, expand and ingest this vital energy. It also is felt in the eyes as we receive that energy which stimulates ajna chakra, therefore opening pathways that will transport sensory impressions into the mind and boosting mental clarity. Pran Vayu focuses your attention on tasks at hand. The inhale stimulates and we hold our breath to stabilise our mind to what we are focusing on. Pran Vayu is linked to your ability to receive energy which influences your speed of physical and mental movement, your motivation and your vitality in life. It also heightens your sensitivity to the world within as you follow Pran Vayu and at the same time the world around you. You realise that what is connecting you is this energy of Prana. To read more and to practice with Zephyr Wildman, click here. To support Zephyr Yoga Podcast, donate here. Hosted on Acast. Trembling, saluting with joined palms, bowing, overwhelmed with fear (11.35), Arjun says, "The world is delighted and rejoices in your praise; rakshasas (demons) flee in terror and siddhas (perfected ones) bow (11.36) as you are the primal cause even to Brahma, Lord of Gods, Abode of the universe. You are the imperishable, the being and non-being, that which is supreme (11.37). You are the knower, the object of knowledge, and the supreme Goal. By you is the universe pervaded, Being of infinite forms" (11.38). Arjun further says that HE is Vayu (wind), Yama (God of death), Agni (fire), and Varuna (sea god) (11.39); and offers salutations (11.40). He continues, "You are the father of this world, of the moving and unmoving, greater than the greatest, none equal to you" (11.43). Arjun bows, prostrates and seeks HIS grace as a son to father; a lover from a lover; a friend from a friend (11.44). Arjun is both delighted to see what was not seen before and at the same time, his mind is filled with fear and seeks mercy (11.45). He prays to see Krishna in his earlier form (11.46). While Arjun mentions three relationships of father-son; friend to a friend and lover to a lover, grace is needed for any healthy relationship and all cultures advocate the same. Grace is an essential element to have long lasting relationships and contemporary literature guides us in this direction especially in the context of marriage and family. Grace is the ability to forgive others in relationships realising that we are capable of committing the same mistakes as others and have compassion towards others. This comes when equanimity is inculcated at deeper levels; when we transcend dualities of praise and criticism; when we see ourselves in others and others in ourselves which helps us embrace differences.

„The mind is the king of the senses, but the breath is the king of the mind.” „Nobody can shake you if you take charge of your Prana.” Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I am so grateful to be typing this from the stunning mountains of New Mexico! This week we spend time discussing the upcoming energy of the full moon and ways to channel the energy effectively. This is our last full moon before the upcoming eclipse! Notice how energy begins to shift and change. The full moon in Virgo marks the holiday of Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman is the son of Vayu, the god of the wind. He is a major player in the Ramayana and represents bhakti and devotion. This is a beautiful time to focus on integrity, devotion, service, and strength. We spend time particularly focusing on aligning with integrity and creating a life of meaning and ease. It is important to note that the actual birthday of Hanuman is when the moon is in Chitra nakshatra, but for the exact time of the full moon (at least for the US), we are considering Hasta. Vayu-vahana, He Makes The Air Flow. Lecture delivered by His Holiness on philosophy, principles, and practices of Krishna consciousness based on revealed Vedic scriptures as received in parampara.
The Vayu and Agni Tattva are two of the most important tattvas in the Vedic tradition. They are responsible for the movement and transformation of energy in the universe. The Vayu Tattva is the principle of air, and is responsible for the movement of energy in the world. The Agni Tattva is the principle of fire, and is responsible for the transformation of energy in the world. These two tattvas are intimately connected, and their interplay is responsible for all the movement and change that occurs in the universe. To know more about this, listen to the Podcast...

Yogis call it Prana. Ayurvedic Professionals call it Vayu, Prana, or Vata. Other Asian modalities call it the Qi, Chi and in English we just say Vitality. If there is one thing that is common between Yoga, Ayurveda and other modalities--it is the breathing-a system of slow breathing that supports us in a myriad of ways both mental and physical. Here's an introduction lecture by well known yogini from Germany-Anuraddha.

This clip has been taken from a live Q&A session with Brandt and his yoga therapy students. In today's Q&A, Breathing Deepl founder and lead teacher, Brandt Passalacqua, sits down with his students to ask their burning yoga therapy questions. The floor is open for all kinds of questions! They can relate to their personal practice, the yoga therapy foundations program, their course practicum, clients, and so on. In this Q&A Brandt covers why the Breathing Deeply Program doesn't cover the 5 prana Vayu practices in great detail, the benefits of pranayama and when it may not be needed energetically, and how we can use yoga therapy techniques to lower our blood pressure and maybe even get off medication. Brandt shares his personal story about healing his high blood pressure as well! Brandt also answers questions about muscle testing during client intakes to pinpoint weaknesses and how this is more challenging to teach online. Brandt also dives into the somewhat controversial topic in yoga therapy of strengthening over stretching and why you may not need to actually do any stretching in your practice at all! We hope you enjoy this Q&A. Let us know in the comments any key takeaways you had and share them with someone you think it may benefit! Om Shanthi, Om Peace This episode covers: Why don't we use the 5 pranas much in yoga therapy? Can I use my breath to ease hyperawareness during my practice? How can I use yoga therapy techniques to lower blood pressure? What are some tips for learning how to muscle test? What are some tips for doing muscle testing virtually? Why do we focus more on strengthening over stretching in yoga therapy? Breathing Deeply is a Yoga Therapy and Meditation School, founded by lead teacher Brand Passalacqua in 2014. Russia was known as Rishi Varsha an it surrounded the Bharata Varsha as described in the Puranas. There have been migrations from India, from the Sarasvati Valley Civilization, from the Dravida Kingdoms, and from the North again. There is enough evidence in the present Russia right from the names of Rivers,Olga,Moksha from which Moscow is derived,Karaggana, Utkaraganga, People living in the valley of the River Moksha spoke a language Moksha! Place Arkaim, the name of Surya, Sun is Arka. Arkaim is an important archeological site . Many Hindu Ritual signs are found here. One finds the designs of swastika here and this site is dated 4500BC! Arkaim. But reasonable reactions notwithstanding, why have people who are looking for their roots in the direction of Vedic ancestry been more suspect than any other indigenous people curious about their heritage? After all, it would appear to be an uncommonly large area upon which such ancestors would have enjoyed their apparently advanced culture. Such a culture would seem to have “fed” much of what we now call Western civilization and parts of Asia, including migrated tribes, such as American Indians and even Europeans settling America. Moreover, as we also explore elsewhere regarding linguistic research efforts around the so-called Nostratic or Proto-Language question, some linguists are struggling with the possibility of linguistic ancestral roots for possibly ALL humankind, of all colors, so that the suspect idea of any “superiority” should be supported as an excitement for all of humanity maybe re-discovering its true origin and common spiritual heritage. Mahabharata describes the route to Russia while talking about Kekaya Kingdom. Kaikeyi of Ramayana was born here. “Lahore was the kingdom of Lava, son of Rama. ead my post on this. Peshawar was the kingdom of Pushkalavathy ruled by Pushkala, son of Bharatha. These two cities were established during the reign of Rama, the son of Dasaratha. These cities are in the route toKekaya, today's Kazaksthan which was the maternal land of Kaikeyi, mother of Bhratha. One has to cross riverChakshus to reach Kekaya. This river is now known as Oxus . It is shown in blue colour in the Featured picture at the top of this Podcast.People who lived in the valley near Moscow worshiped Indra and Vayu. Moscow Empire was ruled by women called Sthree Rajya. It was dominated by women – due to which it got the name Sthree Rajya – the land of women or dominated by women. They were supposed to seduce men and lead a free life. Varaha mihira has mentioned this place as one of the countries surrounding Bharatha varsha. Vatsyanana also has mentioned about Sthree Rajya in the context of “Grama naari vishayam” where he has said that the women of Sthree Rajya were free to have sex with a any man they liked. Bhattasmin , the commentator for Artha sastra also has talked about SthreRajya as a country abounding in luxurious artilces and happiness. Please read my post on where an ancient Vishnu Idol was found in Russia. Also there are suggestions that the Rig Veda might have been composed in the Arctic. Please refer my post. So what now is called Russia was following Santana Dharma and many Rishis, Yagnyavalkya and Vasishta traveled and stayed there.,near Vaikhanasa now called Baikal. https://ramanisblog-in.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/ramanisblog.in/2014/08/19/sthree-varsha-women-kingdom-rishi-varsha-russia-hindu-texts/amp/?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a8&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16433716682857&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Framanisblog.in%2F2014%2F08%2F19%2Fsthree-varsha-women-kingdom-rishi-varsha-russia-hindu-texts%2F --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ramanispodcast/message

They talk about the future of the drone industry, values that define a great company culture, and the empathy and accountability framework. --- Empathy with Accountability with ex-Navy SEAL TK Eppley Our guest is TK Eppley, a former Navy SEAL and currently the president of Vayu Aerospace Corporation that builds affordable American drones for cargo and or sensor transport over difficult terrains and other terrains. So welcome to the show, TK. Thanks for having me, Steve. It's exciting to have you here. We've never had anyone running a drone company, and this is such a big trend and such an interesting, exciting thing, especially for us lay people. So I can't wait to dig in to that. But before we go there, I'd like to learn about what's been your journey, how you become a CEO of Vayu Aerospace. Well, actually, I'm the president of Vayu Aerospace. So, you know, kind of getting into the tech thing, I was, as you said, I was an AVC for 20 years. In the last couple of years, I was an AVC, I kind of went to the tech side of the house. I went kicking and screaming at the time. But when I got down there, I, you know, I kind of fell back in love with it. I was always the guy that when the computers first came out, I figured out how to use it and things like that. I was a communicator. And then since I've retired, I've been very fortunate to be part of a number of companies where along the way, I learned a lot about tech and then I have ever increasing responsibility and it's led me to where I'm at with Vayu today. That's awesome. So tell you a little bit about your framework. So in the pre-interview, we had a conversation about your management blueprint. So this broadcast is always, I'm always digging for those business frameworks that help people accelerate their businesses. And we talked about something that you call the empathy with accountability framework. So what do you mean by this and how does it work in practice? Well, I think you can't be a leader unless you understand that every day nothing's about you. It's about all the folks that work with you, for you, however you want to. I don't talk about, you know, like, somebody's like, oh, he's at the top of the pyramid or the ladder and a leadership thing. I think it's more elastic than that, where it's, we work together and everybody has a specific, you know, task they're supposed to do. It goes back to when I was a SEAL, there was an old Vietnam guy talking about his boss. And one of the things he said was, his job is to be the decision maker. He's very good at making decisions. Somebody was very good at being a communicator. Somebody was very good at being a machine gunner. Somebody was very good at being a medic. He was a good decider. And I think as a leader, once you say, hey, I recognize the contribution and the intelligence and integrity that everybody has, you're not, you're not like, big problems. And as a leader, one of the number one traits that you have to have is you have to have empathy, all right? Because you have to be able to say, somebody is in a certain place at a certain time, and I have to be able to put myself somewhat in their shoes, and so I can help to solve the problem. But if you just have empathy, then we all sit around and we hug all day and we don't get anything done. So you have to have the accountability with it. Those are the tougher conversations, but they're great when you combine them with empathy like, hey, I think we spoke about this earlier. We hire somebody and we think we're getting something, and there's a certain thing they don't know. All right. Well, okay. A lot of businesses will get out. We made a mistake. My thing is to bring that person in and say, hey look, we thought you would know this and that's partly on us to do that....
Hanuman is a Hindu god and the companion of the god Rama. Hanuman is often referred to as the son of Vayu, the wind god. One account states that when Anjana was worshipping Shiva, the king of Ayodhya Dashrath was also performing a puja which begot him with sons Rama, Lakshmana, Bharatha and Shatrughna. They were born when his wives consumed a pudding that was blessed by the Gods and passed onto them after the puja. A hawk snatched a portion of the pudding while it was being handed over and flew away with it. The wind god Vayu delivered the portion to the hands of Anjana who consumed it and was blessed with Hanuman as a child. Hanuman is usually depicted as a muscular and exceptionally well built humanoid monkey. He has a distinct apelike face but with other physical features of that of a man excluding a powerful tail. Hanuman was born on the mountain Anjaneri. His mother Anjana was an apsara who was born on earth after suffering a curse. She was redeemed by giving birth to a son. The Ramayana states that his father, Kesari, was the king of a place called Sumeru. For 12 long years, Anjana and Kesari prayed for a son to Lord Shiva and was eventually blessed with a son.He is also the son of Vayu, who in various stories played a crucial role in his birth. Another tradition says that Anjana and her husband Kesari prayed to Shiva for a child. By Shiva's direction, Vayu transferred his male energy to Anjana's womb. Accordingly, Hanuman is identified as the son of the Vayu. The origin of the word Hanuman is unclear. One interpretation is that it refers to a character with a mutilated jaw. This supports a Puranic legend where Hanuman, as an infant, mistakes the Sun for a fruit and makes a leap towards it. He is wounded in the jaw when he is thrown back to earth by the sun God.Hanumat, Anuman, Hanumantha, and Hanumanthudu are some of the names that have linguistic variations of “Hanuman”. These names are often used in rural India. Anjaniyar, Anjaneyar, and Anjaneya are also used in Southern India to indicate that he is the son of Anjana.Vayuputra/ Pavanputra – the son of the Vayu deva, Vajrang Bali/Bajrang Bali – “the strong one (bali), who had limbs (anga) as hard or as tough as vajra (diamond)”, Sankata Mochana – “the remover of dangers, hardships, or hurdles”, Maruti – “son of Maruta” (another name of Vayu deva), Kapeeshwara – “Lord of monkeys”, Rama Doota – “the messenger of Lord Rama”, Mahakaya – “gigantic”, Vira/Mahavira – “most valiant”, Mahabala/Mahabali – “the strongest one” are some other common names we hear from other parts of India.Hanuman is blessed with numerous gifts, powers and abilities but is also cursed with the fact that he is never aware of his powers. Some his abilities include being immortal, being a bramhachari who can control all kinds of temptations, being a shapeshifter, extraordinary strength, knowledge of Vedas and a healer of diseases.Hanuman as a deity has influence over Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and other traditional religions of South East Asia. He is seen in drawing and historical representations of various Asian cultures like Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Cambodia. He is also a common fixture of Ramlila celebrations and also has temples dedicated to him all over India.Read about Hanuman at https://mythlok.com/hanuman/
In The Secret of the Veda, Sri Aurobindo showed that there is a deep, esoteric sense to the Vedic hymns that is the real sense of the hymns. To illustrate the method of interpretation, Sri Aurobindo chose 13 hymns and provided translation and commentary under the heading 'Selected Hymns'. This is the eighth of these selected hymns, the Hymn to Vayu, Master of the Life Energies. (The Secret of the Veda, US edition, pp. 294-302) The English translation was provided by Sri Aurobindo. The recordings were made at Sri Aurobindo Ashram in 1973. Sanskrit recited by Sri Vinayak. English translation and excerpts from Sri Aurobindo's commentary recited by Santosh Krinsky

Chanting the Mantra OM is a widely used practice in the Tantric Hatha Yoga lineage, to open the throat space and express yourself authentically. You know you are low on Udana if you are feeling heavy and bogged down like gravity is too strong in you! Also if you are feeling restricted in your expression and your voice is shaky, or you are feeling unmotivated or void of inspiration it might be a good time to increase your Udana. Udana is also the energy that moves spiritual energy, in the form of "Kundalini", up the spine.
