Gav and Shaun have a good look at the Bobby Duncan situation and the random questions fly in from the viewers!!Brought to you by Paddy Power.
The first Academy Show of the new season is here with host Paul Wheelock being joined by journalist, broadcaster and big Liverpool FC fan Matt Addison, who is a regular at Kirby watching the club's U18 and U23 teams. Before they get stuck into what is a big weekend for the talented young sides, Matt gives us the lowdown on the 17-year-old midfielder who has been pictured training with Jurgen Klopp's this week, Leighton Clarkson. Also on the agenda is Fiorentina's bid for Bobby Duncan, but please note the podcast was recorded before the 18-year-old striker's agent made an astonishing attack on the club and Michael Edwards (read the story HERE). The big incentive for players in the Reds academy is that Klopp is willing to give them a chance - Trent Alexander-Arnold being the ultimate example. However, with academy director Alex Inglethorpe admitting the club's youngsters will have to 'take a world-class player's shirt off him' to get into the senior side, Matt and Paul wonder whether more players may need to take the 'Harry Wilson route'. Talk then turns to the appointment of Curtis Jones as the new captain of the U23s, Harvey Elliott and Rhian Brewster, and the team's start to the season, plus a preview of their visit of Manchester City to Anfield on Saturday (August 31, 6pm KO). And there's also time to look at the free-scoring (as ever) U18s, who kick off a big double-header by welcoming Manchester United to the academy earlier in the day (11am KO). Enjoy. Our latest tour diary from America comes direct from our reporting team's hotel - which, given the swelteringly hot temperatures outside, is probably the wisest decision. But is it the wisest decision for Sunday night's clash between Liverpool and Sevilla at Fenway Park to go-ahead? Ian Doyle and Kristian Walsh discuss that before turning their attentions to the Reds' owners FSG, for whom the second friendly of the club's stay in the States will be a particularly proud moment given where it is taking place. Fitness updates on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Nathaniel Clyne and Bobby Duncan follow before talk turns to the fan event at the House of Blues on Saturday night that underlined why Liverpool is a unique club - and why social media plays a big part in that. And then there is the little matter of the interviews Ian and Kristian have conducted with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, which will be going live on the Liverpool ECHO and liverpool.com sites in the coming days. But, for now, enjoy this podcast, and then enjoy the game. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
It is another huge week for Liverpool’s double-chasing first team in their battle with Manchester City for the Premier League title. But’s it’s also a big week for the Reds’ Under-18s side, who will hope to win the first of two trophies of their own on Thursday night when they take on – you guessed it – Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup final. One look at the Under-18 Premier League North table would suggest that Barry Lewtas’ team will be favourites to land Liverpool’s first FA Youth Cup since 2007. But the Reds youngsters have certainly not been helped by their opponents or the authorities when it comes to the scheduling of the match, as the special guest of this podcast, our Liverpool FC correspondent James Pearce, explains. James also explains why the Reds’ talisman and top-scorer Bobby Duncan will be particularly fired up for the final, why the side is much more than the admittedly brilliant strike-partnership between Duncan and captain Paul Glatzel, including the Under-18s’ very own ‘Virgil van Dijk’, as well as praising the job manager Lewtas has done. James is also full of praise for Under-23 manager Neil Critchley, whose side round off their Premier League 2 campaign on Sunday when they welcome Blackburn Rovers to Anfield, which could be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first match at the ground since suffering that terrible injury versus Roma. It was quite the weekend for Liverpool's first team as they followed up their Champions League victory in Munich with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Fulham that took them top of the Premier League. But on the same afternoon of the Craven Cottage success, the Reds' Under-18s were booking the club's first FA Youth Cup final place in a decade. Matt Addison was on reporting duty for the ECHO at Anfield and he gives his verdict on the 2-1 win over Watford, the performance of 55-goal strike-partners Paul Glatzel and Bobby Duncan, and the left-back cut from the Andy Robertson cloth that really caught his eye. We also hear from Barry Lewtas, the Under-18s' manager, before talk turns to the final and the resumption of his side's league title challenge. Matt also chats to host Paul Wheelock about Liverpool's in-form Under-23s and the welcome boost Ben Woodburn received this week. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
In a free TAW Special, John Gibbons spoke to U18s manager Barry Lewtas ahead of Liverpool's FA Youth Cup Semi Final against Watford. Barry discussed how excited the team are to play at Anfield, this season's explosive partnership of Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel, who have 53 goals between them so far, and the emergence of centre half Rhys Williams, who this week was called up to England U18s. FA Youth Cup Semi Final: Liverpool U18s v Watford U18s - Anfield, Sunday 12pm Ticket info: Adults - £3, Concessions - £1, Season ticket holders and Members - free, but must still be secured in advance. Welcome to the Academy Show, hosted by Paul Wheelock, and featuring our Liverpool FC reporter Ian Doyle, and Post-Game and View from the Kop regular Matt Addison.Matt is also a regular down at the Academy in Kirkby and he joins Paul to talk the big win for the Under 18s that maintained their lead at the top of the U18 Premier League North table – and set up a huge week that will see their fight for glory on three fronts continue. They also talk the incredible scoring feats of Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel, the emergence of Fidel O’Rourke, and the next player Matt believes has the potential to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad.Klopp was at Anfield on Monday night to watch Liverpool Under-23s lose the mini-derby 2-0 to Everton.Ian Doyle was also there – and he gives us the lowdown on a bad night for Neil Critchley’s side. One of the positives to come out of the game was that Ben Woodburn came through 90 minutes unscathed.Ian talks Woodburn’s future before going on to explain why Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t feature as first expected. The good news is that Chamberlain is set to play for the U23s at Derby County on Friday afternoon. But as Ian also explains, the Reds are going to have a little longer yet to get Rhian Brewster back.Enjoy. It’s been the perfect ending to a memorable year for Liverpool’s first team. The win over Wolves on Friday ensured the Reds will be top at Christmas – and Manchester City’s shock defeat at home to Crystal Palace the following afternoon guarantees that the four-point gap between the sides has stayed intact. But it’s not just at senior level that the club is thriving. The Under-18s won a dramatic FA Youth Cup tie with Portsmouth in St Helens on Tuesday 3-2 thanks to a late winner from the prolific Bobby Duncan. It continued a brilliant run of form for Barry Lewtas’ side that has seen them book their place in the knockout stages of the UEFA Youth League and move up to second in the U18s Premier League.Further good news came in the fact that Ki-Jana Hoever, the 16-year-old defender signed from Ajax in the summer, has been promoted to train with Jurgen Klopp’s senior side. And for the latest Academy Show podcast, Paul Wheelock speak to our Liverpool FC correspondent James Pearce about the Dutchman, about Duncan, and about the U23s, who themselves have ended 2018 on a high, and about Ben Woodburn ahead of his expected return from Sheffield United on loan For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
Before jetting out to Belgrade in the morning, our Liverpool FC correspondent James Pearce speaks to Paul Wheelock for our latest Academy Show podcast. Most of the show focuses on the Reds' on-fire Under-18s side, who made it eight straight wins in Premier League competitions last Thursday with a thrilling, last-gasp mini, mini derby victory over Everton. So who are the players standing out for Barry Lewtas' side? And just how promising is the partnership between Paul Glatzel and Bobby Duncan (pictured)?James also pays tribute to the man tasked with filling Steven Gerrard's sizeable boots as well as looking ahead to the highly rated side's UEFA Youth League encounter with Red Star on Tuesday afternoon. While the first team were drawing 1-1 at Arsenal on Saturday to move - albeit temporarily - back to the top of the Premier League, Dominic Solanke was playing and scoring as the Under-23s returned to winning ways.So what next for Solanke? And why could his immediate future be dependent on Divock Origi?James answers those questions and also talks the new manager in charge of Liverpool FC Women.Enjoy. The wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain have made it a superb week so far for Jurgen Klopp’s senior side. But it’s also been seven days to savour for the club’s younger teams. There was a third straight league victory for Barry Lewtas’ U18s before Neil Critchey’s U23s got their season up and running with a success that was aided by the inclusion of a number of first-team players. But arguably the most impressive result of the lot came on Tuesday when the U19s, managed by Lewtas, swept aside Paris Saint-Germain 5-2 in their UEFA Youth League opener. Our Liverpool FC correspondent James Pearce joins host Paul Wheelock to reflect on the hat-trick of wins and give a progress check on some of the starlets currently catching the eye, including Rafa Camacho and Curtis Jones, Bobby Adekanye, Paul Glatzel and Bobby Duncan, as well as new boy Ki-Jana Hoever.James also speaks about Liverpool FC Women, who ended a difficult week, which saw the shock departure of manager Neil Redfearn, on a positive note.Enjoy. It’s a big weekend for Liverpool FC’s academy with their U18s and U23s sides playing their first home matches of what is set to be another exciting season at Kirby.Neil Critchley’s U23s welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield on Friday (7pm) before the U18s, now managed by the highly regarded Barry Lewtas after Steven Gerrard’s departure to Rangers, take on rivals Manchester United at the academy on Saturday (11am).We preview both matches – and talk much more besides – in our first Academy Show podcast of the new campaign. Our Liverpool FC correspondent James Pearce guests on the show after spending the afternoon in the company of Critchley and Lewtas. The rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold to integral first-team squad member was the highlight of a brilliant season for the academy last time out.And there is real hope that there are more players ready to follow in Trent’s footsteps. The likes of Curtis Jones, Rafa Camacho and Nat Phillips certainly staked a claim with their performances in pre-season and James explains what could happen next for the trio and why goalkeeper Kamil Grabara has a real opportunity on his hands.James also discusses the futures of Sheyi Ojo and Pedro Chirivella before talk turns to the U18s and their summer signing Bobby Duncan, the highly rated young English forward who is the cousin of Reds legend Gerrard. That in turn leads to a debate about why Liverpool is now seen as the club to go to for talented young players before James rounds off the podcast by talking about the returning Pep Lijnders.Enjoy. They are simple, easy and portable, suitable for couples of all ages and designed for your pleasure and your convenience. Beth (from Darling Way) knows well how easy it is to fall into a pattern of doing the same bedroom gymnastics, over and over again, and instead of changing things up, to simply do them less and less frequency… because come on, even the best ice cream gets a bit boring if you eat it, and nothing else, day after day after week after month after years… yuck! You can easily get to the point of saying “Enough already! I’m sick of it. I don’t care if I never eat ice cream again!” Of course, as a former divorce lawyer, she also knows that what happens way too often is that along the road, someone finds another ice cream stand with different flavors-- and after years of the same thing, even a lower quality ice cream can taste like heaven just because it’s different… But wait! The good news is, with these Sexy Bedroom Games, and of course, all the other sexy fun things that we’ve talked about on other episodes. Grab a notepad so you don’t forget these great ideas because, Beth and Bobby Duncan are going to help you create a never ending, rotating, delectable variety of sexy, fun “ flavors and options” that will keep ‘you and your lover’ happily satisfied, curious, excited and... eager for the next serving at home so neither of you gets bored… this way you’ll be so busy enjoying what you’ve got together, that you’ll be too happy and too full to notice or care what others may be offering. And if you are thinking about making excuses about how you are so tired, or busy, or work is too stressful to have any energy left for your relationship, or there is too much to do to just play silly games with your husband or wife, stop right now. Seriously. Think about whether it’s really a better investment of your time and energy to keep a clean house, or keep a happy marriage? Is it more important to you to maintain your body at the gym, or maintain intimacy with your spouse? Do you want to save time and money now so you can spend them with divorce lawyers later? Why do you think your relationship can survive without proper maintainance and attention, but you’ll lose your job if you don’t do it well right now? Listen in so you can play "Better A or B? With this or that?", "The Too Tired to Think Game", "Doctor, Doctor!" (Or "Oh Nurse!"), and then take a trip to your own "Fantasy Island" (for advanced players!). Do you want an easy way to avoid BMS? (That’s Boring Married Sex for those of you new to our show.) Or do you just long for a little extra dose of exuberant, sexy romance in your life? Do you know what burlesque is? Have you seen a burlyq show? Wondered what the appeal is? Would you be surprised that watching burlesque, or even trying a few moves of your own at home, can create more passionate excitement in your life and relationship? And increase confidence in your own body image? Here’s the surprising truth… there is a lot of sexy power in Burlesque and on Love and Laughter with Beth, you can learn to harness some of it yourself, whether you are male or female, solo or partnered, no matter where you live. Because even if you can’t go see a show… you can create your own private performance… even if it’s just for your eyes only… Want to know how? And why? That’s what Beth and Bobby Duncan find out on this show with guest Kiki Maroon, international award winning Burlesque performer, producer of The BurlyQ Lounge Show and the new Comic Strip Show coming in July 2018. While many of you may never have seen a burlesque show, it’s been raising a rip-roaring ruckus on American stages since about 1840… clearly it’s appeal is timeless and classic. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s just a fancier setting for women to take off their clothes and beg for the attention of men because more than anything else it’s about finding and celebrating the romantic, joyful sexiness that resides within each of us whether we know it or not. Don’t overlook a simple way to spice up your life and put a smile on your face, listen to this episode and you’ll be moving to the music and putting your own burlesque kit together in no time!

God will not listen to the prayers of those who have no desire to obey His will. The "sinner's prayer" is found nowhere in the Bible. We are not saved directly in answer to our prayers. In order to be saved, we must follow the plan of salvation which God set before us in the New Testament. We must hear the Gospel, believe in Christ, repent of our sins, confess our belief in Jesus, and be baptized for the remission of our sins.
"The Co-write", is a new pod hosted by Bobby Duncan and Donovan Dodd.
