It began on a summer night in 2011, when someone in the vehicle noticed three odd lights overhead. Curious, one of the occupants stepped out of the vehicle and looked up. Now, according to a witness interview released years later by the U.S. Department of War, what appeared above them was not simply three lights, but a massive, dark, triangular object moving silently across the night sky. This case, and several others involving mysterious triangle UAPs in our skies, are among those included in the Pentagon's fifth tranche of UAP files released under its PURSUE initiative.  This week on The Micah Hanks Program, we look at the latest U.S. government UAP cases revealed with the recent publication of PURSUE Release 05, and how one very unusual and increasingly prominent class of unidentified flying objects—massive black triangle UAP—have become a central focus for investigations by the Pentagon's AARO and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  SHOW NOTES Below are links to stories and other content featured in this episode. “No exercise” can land like a punch to the gut when movement is how you manage stress, feel strong in your body, and stay connected to yourself. I'm Christina Prevett, pelvic floor PT and pregnancy and exercise researcher, and I'm digging into what to do when a pregnancy complication changes the conversation fast and your provider recommends activity restriction, pelvic rest, or even bed rest.We start by reframing the fear narrative. Yes, complications can raise risk and it makes sense that your mind goes straight to worst-case scenarios. But we also have to name the costs of too much sedentary time in pregnancy: mental health strain, inflammatory load, musculoskeletal deconditioning, and showing up to labor less prepared for the physical demands ahead. I walk through the complications that commonly trigger blanket limits, including placenta previa or low-lying placenta, subchorionic hematoma, gestational hypertension, premature rupture of membranes, cervical insufficiency, and intrauterine growth restriction. Then we get practical. I share how I recommend approaching your OB or high-risk OB with kindness and clarity, how to explain your “why,” and the exact questions that invite nuance: Is exercise truly known to make this worse? Is this a blanket rule or specific to my presentation? Can we lower intensity, reduce impact, or modify training rather than shutting everything down? We also talk about absolute risk versus relative risk, and why it's okay to seek a second opinion if you feel dismissed. If you want support walking into your next appointment, I'm putting together a PDF of these questions plus a summary of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine guidance. Subscribe, share this with a pregnant friend who lifts, and leave a review so more active moms can find evidence-informed support.___________________________________________________________________________Don't miss out on any of the TEA coming out of the Barbell Mamas by subscribing to our newsletter You can also follow us on Instagram and YouTube for all the up-to-date information you need about pelvic health and female athletes. We're coming to you mid-snowstorm (40 inches in Rhode Island?! Are people just tunneling to Target at this point?) and somehow we start the episode with “we have nothing to talk about” which is always when things spiral the fastest. This week's chaos includes:  The wrinkle debate. What are those lines from your nose to your mouth and why are they suddenly… aggressive? Do we need facelifts? Frownies? Lymphatic brushes from TikTok Shop? Or is this just collagen packing its bags and leaving the chat? Red light therapy masks miracle or $500 mistake? Danna breaks down what it actually does (muscle recovery, inflammation, mood boost… allegedly), but then the ski-trip hot tub drama hits. Red dots. Panic Googling. Bed bug flashbacks. Lice PTSD. Turns out? Hot tub folliculitis. Antibiotics for everyone. Public hot tubs are officially cancelled. Farm update from the barn. Kristin is now the proud mother of two new lambs and still refusing to wash the overalls until lambing season is over. The coat has been washed (breaking news), but the pants may legally qualify as a biohazard. Progress is progress. Olympic feelings. We're not ready for the Olympics to be over. Hockey gold, missing teeth, heartfelt moments, and why the Winter Olympics are basically the unhinged best friend of the Summer Games. Leftovers for 20… from a dinner for 7. Shrimp. Deviled eggs. Soup. Pepperoni bread. A hot cheese dip situation. We may have catered our own podcast night. And we also share about a really cool networking opportunity our kids were part of because in between lice stories, hot tub bacteria, and lambs being born, we're still trying to raise capable humans. It's skincare confusion, farm chaos, mom spirals, and Olympic nostalgia, basically, peak Mismatched. New episode out now. Come laugh with us.

Why do cyclists in London run red lights? It's against the law, and yet, if you've cycled, driven or just observed London's cyclists, you'll know that many of them don't stop when there's a red light. Confession time: I'm one of them. Not all the time, but some of the time, and weirdly not when I'm in Munich — the other city I live in — but only in London. The question of why this happens — not just my red light running, but the act in general — is the subject of this episode. Because I think this seemingly simple act can reveal so much about our compliance with rules, our perception of risk, and the way environments shape behaviour. To unpack these insights, I'm joined by Ella Jenkins, Associate Director at Thinks Insight, and Pete Dyson, a behavioural science researcher at the University of Bath and co-author of Transport for Humans.  They've been part of a research team on a study commissioned by Lime, the electric bike and scooter company, which explores why cyclists in London behave the way they do.What we discover isn't about recklessness—it's about confidence, social signalling, poor infrastructure, and the surprising psychology of compliance. In our conversation, we examine the drivers of red-light running, the effectiveness of different interventions, and what this means for broader behaviour change.Whether you're a policymaker, a cyclist, or simply someone curious about how our minds and cities interact, this episode offers practical insights into one of the most visible — and misunderstood — forms of everyday noncompliance.Guest BiographiesElla Jenkins is an Associate Director at Thinks Insight, a strategy and research consultancy that helps clients understand human behaviour and deliver change. She led the research project commissioned by Lime to understand why cyclists in London run red lights. With a background in behavioural science and a passion for applying insights in real-world contexts, Ella brings both analytical rigour and empathy to her work.Pete Dyson is a behavioural science researcher at the University of Bath, where he focuses on transport systems and human behaviour. He is the co-author with Rory Sutherland of the influential book Transport for Humans: Are we nearly there yet? and previously served as the Principal Behavioural Scientist at the UK Department for Transport. He's also the current Cycling Mayor for the UK City of Bath.Pete blends practical policymaking experience with a deep understanding of the behavioural levers that shape how we move through the world.AI-Generated Timestamped Summary[00:00:00] Introduction and personal confession about red-light running[00:01:15] Overview of the Lime-commissioned research [00:03:20] Introducing Ella Jenkins and Pete Dyson[00:05:45] The origins and goals of the study[00:09:05] Red-light running as a defensive rather than reckless behaviour[00:12:08] Confidence and frequency of cycling linked to rule-breaking[00:13:14] Perceptions versus reality of who breaks the rules[00:16:32] The role of infrastructure and signal phasing[00:18:54] Social norms and peer influence on cyclist behaviour[00:21:46] Trust in the rules versus lived reality [00:24:20] Designing for behavioural cues[00:28:15] Comparison with other cities like Munich [00:30:58] The emotional context of cycling[00:34:46] Enforcement and views on potential interventions[00:38:12] Habit formation and unintended nudges [00:41:23] The interplay between education and empathy[00:46:49] Final reflections and Christian's closing thoughtsLinksElla on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ella-jenkins/Pete on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/pete-dyson-9ba5301b/What drives red light running in London cyclists?, the research we discuss: https://fileserver.britainthinks.com/dl/wH4CcDyRg8bVThinks Insight: https://www.thinksinsight.com/Lime Bikes: https://www.li.me/en-gbTransport for Humans: https://www.transportforhumans.com/Pete's previous appearance on the show talking about Transport for Humans: https://www.humanriskpodcast.com/pete-dyson-on-making-transport-more-human/The announcement of Pete as Cycling Mayor of Bath: https://www.bath.ac.uk/announcements/the-bicycle-mayor-of-bath-pete-dyson/

The frustrating reality of start-stop technology takes center stage in this eye-opening episode as we explore why this supposedly fuel-saving feature might be doing more harm than good. Through lively debate and personal experience, we unpack how that momentary engine shutdown at stoplights creates a ripple effect of delays for everyone on the road—all while saving minimal fuel.We dive deep into the political dimensions of this automotive controversy, examining how President Trump's elimination of CAFE noncompliance fines and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin's policy shifts are changing the landscape for this once-mandated technology. With 62% of 2023 model vehicles featuring start-stop systems, we explore why so many drivers are seeking ways to permanently disable them, from aftermarket eliminators to DIY workarounds. Our popular "Guess the Sold Car Price" segment delivers surprising revelations about the classic car market, with vehicles ranging from a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette "with about two horsepower" to a stunning 1948 Lincoln Continental. We also highlight upcoming automotive events across Texas, including a unique car show at Dankin Park baseball stadium and a commemorative Air Force pancake breakfast fly-in. This powerful double-segment dives into two gripping themes: the deadly reality of driving in South Carolina's Upstate—where red-light running, DUIs, and judicial failures cost lives—and new scrutiny surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's death. The host shares a listener's story of survival thanks to a simple driving tip and exposes how habitual offender Kevin Clinton Harrison caused a fatal crash yet avoided prison for years. Then, the episode shifts to unravel inconsistencies in the Epstein investigation, raising questions about the FBI, hidden client lists, and suspicious surveillance failures. It's a stark reminder that accountability—whether on our roads or in our justice system—remains elusive.

Just like the scarlet cord in her window, the blood of Jesus covers our sins, offering new life and purpose. This message reminds us that God goes before us, redeems what's broken, and invites us to be part of His greater plan. Your past doesn't define you—His promises do.

In this journal club episode, my guest is Dr. Peter Attia, M.D., a Stanford and Johns Hopkins-trained physician focusing on healthspan and lifespan and the host of The Drive podcast. We each present a peer-reviewed scientific paper chosen because it contains novel, interesting, and actionable data. First, we discuss a paper on how bright light exposure at sunrise and throughout the day and dark exposure at night independently improve mental health and can offset some of the major symptoms of mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety. Then, we discuss an article that explores a novel class of immunotherapy treatments to combat cancer. We also discuss some of the new data on low-calorie sweeteners and if they are safe. This episode should be of interest to listeners curious about maximizing their vitality and longevity and to anyone seeking science-supported ways to improve mental health and lifespan.
