Verejnosť ho dnes vníma predovšetkým ako talentovaného herca a vnuka legendárneho Štefana Kvietika, no málokto tuší, že Matúš Kvietik mal v detstve našliapnuté na úplne inú kariéru. V najnovšej epizóde podcastu suSPEAK na ŠPORT.sk odhodil pomyselnú hereckú masku a nasadil tú brankársku, aby so svojimi niekdajšími spoluhráčmi zaspomínal na časy, keď namiesto potlesku na javisku počúval nárazy pukov o betóny.„Netušil som, že vy ste boli spoluhráči a že Matúš bol brankár,” priznal hneď v úvode prekvapený Rasťo Konečný, čím otvoril dvere do takmer zabudnutej športovej minulosti známeho umelca.Ak si myslíte, že spojenie jemného umeleckého sveta a drsnej hokejovej šatne nejde dokopy, táto epizóda podcastu suSPEAK vás rýchlo vyvedie z omylu. Moderátori Marek Marušiak a Rasťo Konečný si do štúdia nepozvali len známu tvár z televíznych obrazoviek, ale predovšetkým svojho bývalého parťáka z ľadu, s ktorým zdieľali šatňu v Slovane aj v Ružinove.Výsledkom je bezprostredná debata plná nostalgie a sebairónie. Matúš Kvietik otvorene hovorí o svojej mládežníckej kariére a s úsmevom vysvetľuje, prečo ho tréneri a spoluhráči kedysi prirovnávali k legendárnemu Dominikovi Hašekovi.Nebolo to však len pre jeho talent, ale skôr pre jeho absolútne neortodoxný štýl, ktorý pramenil z prozaického dôvodu – v bránke bez okuliarov jednoducho takmer nič nevidel. „Ja som bol vo všetkom odvážny človek,“ smeje sa Matúš Kvietik pri spomienke na to, ako chytal viac intuíciou než zrakom, čo potvrdil aj pri opise svojich zákrokov: „Videl som tieň, tak som tam hodil lapačku... A chytil som to.“Podcast suSPEAK je známy svojou uvoľnenou atmosférou, no tentoraz sa mantinely humoru posunuli ešte ďalej, keď moderátori s hosťom otvorili archív „kabínových” hriechov. Poslucháč sa dozvie exkluzívne detaily z hokejového dospievania, napríklad o tom, prečo a ako Matúš Kvietik vyhodil záchodovú misu do vzduchu.Všetko sa začalo nevinnou stávkou s pyrotechnikou. „Nemáš na to hodiť tú petardu do toho hajzla... A ja že nemám na to?“ opisuje Matúš Kvietik moment, kedy precenil pevnosť keramiky. „My sme si mysleli, že vybuchne voda von,“ dodáva so smiechom k incidentu, ktorý sa zapísal do dejín ich ročníka.Núdza nie je ani o kuriózne zranenia, ako keď Matúš Kvietik počas detskej bitky v šatni hlavou zdemoloval sanitu. „Hlavou som rozbil umývadlo. Mama ma skoro zabila,“ spomína na ťažký týždeň.Rozhovor však nezostáva len pri zábave a dotýka sa aj vážnejších tém, keď Matúš Kvietik úprimne priznáva dôvody, prečo musel lapačku a vyrážačku definitívne zavesiť na klinec. Problémy s kolenami a prudkým rastom v kritickom veku vystavili jeho športovým ambíciám nekompromisnú stopku.„Odpálila sa mi šľacha na kolene... Prišiel som znova, na druhom tréningu zas,“ opisuje koniec nádejnej kariéry.

Über 80 Jahre nach seiner Entstehung fasziniert der Kleine Prinz von Antoine de Saint-Exupéry weiter. Heuer wurde er gleich in vier schweizerdeutsche Dialekte übersetzt. Wir sprechen mit zwei Übersetzerinnen über den Klassiker. 1943 erschien Le Petit Prince des französischen Piloten und Autors Antoine de Saint-Exupéry erstmals: eine philosophische Kindergeschichte für Ewachsene. Seither findet das Buch reissenden Absatz - und es wird universell verstanden: In über 600 Sprachen und Dialekte wurde es bereits übersetzt. Auch etliche schweizerdeutsche Dialekte gehören dazu. Kein anderes Buch ausser der Bibel wurde in so viele Sprachen übersetzt. 2025 sind vier weitere Mundart-Übersetzungen dazugekommen: Glarnerdeutsch, Bündnerdeutsch, Zugerdeutsch (alle im Baeschlin-Verlag) sowie Solothurnerdeutsch. Wir haben die beiden Übersetzerinnen der Zuger und der Solothurner Ausgabe, Judith Stadlin und Claudia Brander, zum Gespräch getroffen. Darin erklären sie, warum sie was wie übersetzt haben und welche Mundartwörter sie beim Übersetzen in den Text geschmuggelt haben. Ausserdem sprechen Stadlin und Brander mit Mundartredaktor André Perler über die vielen Interpretationsmöglichkeiten des Kleinen Prinzen und diskutieren darüber, warum das Buch noch heute jährlich fünf Millionen Mal verkauft wird. Ausserdem in der Sendung: Verschwundene Wörter und Namen mit und ohne Artikel Im zweiten Teil der Mundartstunde widmen wir uns der Frage, warum in einigen Dialekten Namen ohne Artikel gebraucht werden - genau wie im Hochdeutschen: «I ha Patrick gseh.» statt «I ha dr Patrick gseh.» Und auch einem österreichischen Familiennamen - Panhuber - versuchen wir auf die Schliche zu kommen. Pawlina in conversation with Canadian Kobzar, one of the principals of Toonie Tuesdays, a unique and visionary fundraiser to support Ukraine. Kobzar explains the crowd-funding approach that Toonie Tuesdays takes to overcome the inevitable "compassion fatigue" and in the process makes fundraising for Ukraine accessible to anyone who can spare a toonie ($2) to help defenders in Ukraine.
