For millennia, the Jewish community has awaited the arrival of Moshiach, yearning for the Final Redemption and Hashem's ultimate revelation. Each day that this event does not unfold serves as a poignant reminder from our Creator that we, as a people, may not yet be prepared for such profound judgment. This shared spiritual destiny underscores a profound truth: we are intrinsically linked, rising and falling as one. Our collective responsibility to each other is both a privilege and a duty. In this compelling episode, we invite Tyler Scholl and Erica Harris to share their personal paths towards Torah observance. Their experiences shed light on the ways we can support one another in our shared mission to live up to the covenant established at Mt. Sinai. ★ Support this podcast ★

“Oseh shalom bimromav. Hu ya'aseh shalom aleinu. V'al kol Yisrael V'imru” (They who make peace in their high places, may they bring peace upon us, and upon all Israel.) In this episode, we are joined by Dr. Naomi Yudanin and Dr. Erica Tanne Harris. We came together to discuss what's been happening in Israel since the attack by Hamas on October 7th; what's happening with our own families there; some background about our family histories including emigrating from Ukraine; how we're processing the reaction we're seeing around the world including here in the U.S.; and most importantly, how we can help. That's where the fundraiser that Naomi is organizing, Equipment For IDF Reserves, comes in. We are raising money on behalf of Naomi's friends, Yonatan and Evelyn Seltzer, who have recently been mobilized as part of the 360,000+ reserve soldiers recruited by the IDF to fight Hamas. They are in need of basic and defensive equipment, which has been difficult to acquire and distribute quickly. Like many of their fellow reservists, they're scrambling to acquire these essentials and end up paying for it themselves. Please consider helping Yonatan, Evelyn, and other soldiers like them buy basic goods (including socks, underwear, hygiene products, warm clothing, etc.) in the next few weeks as they prepare to fight Hamas. Dr. Erica Harris endured a cavalcade of crucibles – starting with being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and given just two months to live after her body did not respond to chemotherapy treatments. But then, miraculously she believes, she went into remission in time to receive a bone-marrow transplant that put her on the road to recovery … only to find herself in the direst of straits again when her new immune system rejected her lungs and her life was hanging by a thread of hope. In this week's episode, Harris explains every harrowing detail of her years-long up-and-down medical crises – finally set on a more stable path when she received a double lung transplant. Along that journey, she explains, she learned the important difference between toxic positivity and genuine positivity and discovered that the key to her recovery was a mindset shift. “I have lived a million more lifetimes than I could have if I never had cancer,” she says today – and now shares the lessons her journey has taught her as a speaker and coach who encourages others through her true wellness platform, Rise Today.
