We've all seen it, but when was the last time you sat down and watched Rocky from beinning to end. For Tony & Ronn it'ss been decades...until the other day when Tony sat down and watched it all the way through and came to one undeniable conclusion...Rocky is a cinematic masterpiece.
If you think that advertising on TV is too expensive, you’re wrong! And that same idea is why there is so little competition in TV marketing. Tony Javier from Real Estate Masters TV had the same idea in his head ten years ago, until a friend who worked in television commercials told Tony that his real estate investing business would be perfect for the small screen. For Tony, three or four hours of filming can yield months and months of marketing material all across his targeted market.Tony’s company makes it easy for real estate investors to create a brand for TV that makes them an instant small-time celebrity. There’s nothing like getting approached at the grocery store because an interested seller recognizes your face from your commercials. Real Estate Masters TV helps investors by:—Giving you the right scripts and graphics—Telling you what stations your demographic is on—Advising you on the shows you need to be onTony’s commercials are a fraction of the cost of other programs, plus he can get you on the air in a few weeks. You’re going to see results that are 10x faster than other marketing channels. And most of his investors start closing deals within weeks of their television debuts.Obviously, this isn’t for everyone. If you’re not comfortable in front of a camera, or you don’t have the capacity to close on large amounts of leads, this isn’t for you. Tony is also careful not to saturate a local market with too many real estate investors, so there are limited slots available. His screening process guarantees that he only works with the best, so reach out to Real Estate Masters TV if you’re ready to crush some goals. What's Inside:—Tony has 9 years of data into what works for motivated sellers on TV.—When you can find something that no one’s doing, and when you’re not competing with five other investors, that’s where the magic happens.—If you don’t want to be on TV for whatever reason, Tony can work with that.—Tony’s mantra is to do business with less and find ways to do business in ways that no one else is doing.
When Melin and Tera are ready to move into their new enclosure a staff misstep spooks the lions and delays the process for days. The incident illustrates challenges that come with turning around a zoo, which is increasingly important as habit loss pushes many species to the brink of extinction. Tony discusses a lifetime of rescuing animals from traps set by villagers. For Tony, a sixth extinction event is almost inevitable as humans clear forests for plantations and housing. Zoo animals are “ambassadors” to a public that may never see them.

This past year was a trying one for all of us, and this new year has started off with challenges, too. It would be easy to believe that we as a society are headed in a negative direction, to be fearful of the future – but as Tony says, Fear is simply imagination undirected. What happens when you give direction to your imagination? That’s what we call faith. Faith is not learned, it’s something we are born with. Faith is what fuels us through times of fear and uncertainty. It is more powerful than any emotion, even fear. When all hell is breaking loose, it gives us the ability to find our center, to help ourselves and others to find answers, to find a higher meaning in the midst of our pain and in spite of our fear. And if you’re a leader, you take that certainty and transfer it into others, because human conviction has a viral effect and will spread. Faith is knowing that at our core we're more than anything we will ever face, and we can handle whatever life brings us. We always have and we always will. That is the power of the human race. In this episode, Tony sits down with four extraordinary human beings that are working to solve major global issues, who believe so strongly in their solutions and have so much certainty that it’s almost contagious! These four leaders are not only world changing technology experts, but the founders and CEOs of companies that are bringing the stuff of science-fiction novels to life. And faster than anyone thought possible. They're doing things that will change the lives of billions of people all across the globe. Their ultimate outcome is to increase that quality of life for everyone in existence and for generations to come. In this episode, you will learn about: The future of food. Hear from CEO and co-founder of Upward Farms, Jason Green. (Yes, you read that right – he may indeed have a green thumb!) Upward Farms is a Brooklyn-based indoor aquaponic farm sustainably growing leafy greens and fish with the highest ecological and quality standards. Jason is changing the way we grow food and challenging the environmentally devastating practices we’ve been using for so long. The future of energy. Learn from the genius mind behind the monetization of search words, Bill Gross, whose company, Idealab, is the longest running technology incubator in the history of the world. He’s taking on sustainable energy like no human on earth has done before. The future of space. Hear from Mikhail Kokorich, CEO of Momentus, a space transportation company. Mikhail’s commercial and private space travel is the stuff of every sci-fi lover's dreams. But he’s taking it from beyond the pages of books and movies and making it real with special water propulsion technology. And he’s not just stopping at transportation. The future of business. Tony pulls insights from founder and general partner of Prime Movers Lab, Dakin Sloss. His company is all about seeing the value in people’s visions for starting new companies, and providing the funding and guidance to get them off the ground. But these aren’t your average entrepreneurial startups, these are companies that will change the way we experience life. Most of you know that Tony is incredibly passionate about anything that can increase the quality of people's lives. He’s obsessed with finding answers and solutions. He’s also obsessed with finding entrepreneurs and companies that are on the brink of changing the world and being a part of that in any way he can. For Tony, this usually means more than just investing with them financially, but going on a journey with them, and investing on a soul-level. We hope you enjoy this episode! He's sharing those success strategies on the Lindsey Elmore Show. After that, Lindsey shares a free tool about how to track habits each day. Today's Coffee Connection is Tony Jackson, German Master's Graduate and Voice-Over Artist from Arizona. Tony shared his strategies for engaging with German, Germans, and German culture from the US. For Tony, his German experience was limited to immersion at home, because as a student with a disability, he was faced with challenges that prevented him from studying abroad. Despite that, he completed a Master's degree in German and worked as a teaching assistant. We discussed whether you can be an authentic language teacher when you've never actually spent time in the country where the target language is spoken. Finally, I asked Tony how to approach someone with a visible disability. Visit Tony's website for more information at www.tonyjacksonvo.com.
Part of the journey is the end. For Tony, anyway. For Peter, it’s a whole new ball game on his own with sky-high expectations on his shoulders, not to mention the prospect of Elemental monsters and a man with a fishbowl on his head. In This podcast I am in conversation with Tony. In recent years Tony has built up his own Business with Multi-million-pound contracts, this would appear to represent success, high income and life full of possibility. For Tony the Business grew at a rate that made it impossible for him to manage. At the time the only way Tony could escape from the overwhelming pressures of work was through Cocaine. Cocaine only served that purpose for a very short period before the drug became another element that would consume him, this then led to a spell in prison. After being realised from prison then realised, he had developed PTSD and Anxiety from his spell in prison. As you will hear in the Podcast Tony, is still up-beat and very motivated to get his life and business back on track.
This week's episode kicks off Horror Month at What Did We Miss? with four straight weeks of creepy, crawly episodes. Kicking things off is the 1974 slasher classic, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which introduced to world to director Tobe Hooper and one of cinema's most enduring horror icons, Leatherface. For Matt, this is easily an all-time favorite. For Tony, well, he saw the remake if that counts (it doesn't). In this episode they discuss the origins of the film and Matt's relation to it, the surprising amount of humor, how the remake's excessive grime oversold the idea of the movie's murder house, how a lack of gore does not a PG-rated movie make, and the some of the stunning imagery that - much to Tony's surprise - made this a gorgeous grindhouse slasher flick.
For Tony, NCIS was just one stop on his way up until he ran face-first into a wall named Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

:19 - Senator Sherrod Brown is speaking on workers’ rights in the Akron area, and he joined the program to preview his roundtable discussion. He also talked about trade and the G7 summit and his beloved Cleveland Indians. 5:05 - Ever have a hobby growing up that was lampooned by your peers at the time, yet they later came around to respect you for it? For Tony, it was drawing and drama club, and for Kris Drew, it was the topic at hand: ballet. 12:13 - It hasn’t been a positive time in Tribe land after getting swept by the Mets and possibly losing Jose Ramirez for the season. Bob DiBiasio talked about Ramirez’s hamate bone surgery and his loss, how the team will respond with others coming off the IL, and a little on Barberton’s own Hal Naragon. Murders, Missing, Misconduct: A True Crime Podcast for the Natural State
On a hot and sticky summer night in June 2014 an unlikely pair of best buddies would make plans to get together, throw back a few beers, listen to some tunes and "smoke a lil' smoke". Being a loyal friend to Abel, Tony never found it odd that one of his best friends was a whopping 65 years old while he was still a young 22. Age is just a number right, after all, Abel seemed to be young at heart, loved to "party" and he was always up for a good time. It really never bothered Tony much that he was in fact, Abel's only source of transportation and in a lot of ways Abel was very dependent on Tony. Tony new the meaning of a true friendship. This was a role that he took very seriously. When he said he was your friend, he meant it. For Tony's friendly devotion, he was repaid with a bullet to his head and a shrug of the shoulders by the hands of the man of which he was such a loyal friend.

Our environment has programmed and influenced our subconscious mind in ways we don’t really consider during our formative years. A lot of decision-making we made in our personal lives or in the workplace is based on our unconscious bias. Corporate relationship expert Tony Chatman examines the idea of unconscious bias happening in the subconscious level. As there are no studies that have a correlation between intelligence and bias, Tony says we need to be aware if we are likely to be biased in a particular situation. For Tony, if we not only believe that everything should be fair but also willing to work towards it, that desire actually begins to reduce our biases. Love the show? This week, the guys talk through the dense, reference-filled mythology of Adult Swim's The Venture Bros. For Tony this was a chance to revisit a longtime favorite, while Matt is realizing on his first watch-through that its everything he could have wanted from a TV show. They get into the obsessive level of detail, love letters to pop culture, surprising amount of heart, brilliant musical score, and questionable creative choices that have made The Venture Bros. stand out among Adult Swim's line up of talking fast food and late night stoner favorites.
From age 11 to age 49, Tony Cash spent 36 years in prison, much of it in solitary confinement. He was fearless of crime and consequences, and his world was made of violence and chaos. For many people, this is just how life is; they don’t know anything else. You can feel trapped inside an ever-deepening well, and even when your heart and mind long for things to be different, there doesn’t appear to be a way out. For Tony, there wasn’t an easy way out… but there was a light. In the harsh world of crime and prison, Tony found Jesus and slowly but surely, Jesus began to guide him into a new way of life – a life that has led dozens of others to Jesus as well. Tune in to Tony’s story as we ask the question, “Can I really change?”
When Tony McGrath got involved with Theatre Junction Grand he had no idea what he was in for. Never having been in the "Arts" before it might seem like a strange leap to go from Management Consultant to CEO of one of Western Canada's oldest and dearest theatres—Theatre Grand. For Tony, it was love at first sight—love of a theatre he likens to a 75 year-old aunt who wears the best clothes, and is likely smoking a stogie, swearing profusely, and having a grand ol' time doing what she wants —and of course supporting the arts community as a whole. Without consistency, it’s hard to get to the next level and stay there. Why is it so important to lay out your goals and know where your business is going to come from? How can consequences move you closer to your goals? How can we be both students and teachers? On this episode, Tony Baroni shares his journey to freedom in his business and talks about creating a life and business by design. If you're coachable, your coach will take you where you want to go. -Tony Baroni Three Things We Learned From This Episode Your numbers are important Be clear on your numbers. Know where the money is coming from, how much you’re using, and what is left. When you have the numbers, including your salaries, it gives you a metric of where to land in those categories to ensure success. Sometimes fear of a consequence can be motivating When it comes to setting your goals, one of the most powerful incentives you can set is a consequence for when you don’t do what you need to do. For Tony, that was donating $1,000 to KW Cares whenever he didn’t give his coach is 4-1-1 goals. Leverage often means firing yourself from a specific role so someone else can do it more efficiently Tony ended up doing all the work in his organization, including taking photographs and doing the listing of the properties. Being a great photographer, he thought he could do it. His coach challenged him to “fire” himself from this role so he could hire someone else and leverage his business. I’m joined today by the CEO of Signorelli Consulting Group, Tony Signorelli. His consulting group focuses mainly on sales enablement and marketing, and they have been in the business since 1995. In this episode, we talk about the path that led Tony to sales and consulting, and he shares insights into creating a successful consulting firm within the corporate world. We examine the importance of taking action when securing new clients, and he shares the mistakes he’s made — that you can learn from — and the incredible importance of using your network to your advantage. Tony shares several of his secrets of success, including the ways that you can generate more revenue without adding more work hours to your day. You won’t want to miss the stories he tells in this episode of The Consulting Success Podcast. A Creative and Curious Consultant Tony has never worked as an employee for anyone else — from freelance writer and bookstore owner to organic farmer and poetry editor, his background was not exactly a linear approach to consulting. His work as a technical writer for a medical company quickly evolved into his involvement with every major product launch for the company, and it was at that point that Tony started to understand the importance of positioning himself as someone that could help companies solve their problems. Rather than approaching consulting with an extensive background of experience, he started his business with a “learn as we go” approach, and that approach has led his company to the successful place that they are in now. For Tony, the driving factor behind his work was two-fold — curiosity and creativity. Once he figured a business out, he inevitably grew bored of it and wanted to move on to the next unknown. As he realized that the questions he was facing with sales and marketing consulting were growing, rather than being solved, he knew he had found a place that he wanted to fully dive into. Even today, the problems presented by companies continue to keep Tony’s attention. He shares one specific event — the turning point at which he realized that he was solving a company’s problems without getting paid for it. Once he made that realization, the decision to fully commit to growing his sales and marketing consultancy was an easy one. As the business has developed, there have been various points when he and his team have been presented with new challenges, and from there the work continues to grow. Traversing The Value Pyramid Along his path to success, Tony realized that he needed to climb higher on the value pyramid in order to create greater value for his clients. The value hierarchy he refers to is a simple tool which demonstrates how you can charge your clients more money by systematically adding value in your business environment. The levels increase from providing your clients information and resources to giving them the tools and services they need to affect real and lasting change within their business. It can be difficult for consultants to understand how exactly to move upward from where their business is to where it needs to be in order to be more valuable. Tony shares specific steps that he took to improve his work, starting with educating himself. He read all that he could about new sales methodology and began differentiating what ideas were actually novel or distinct from all of those available. From that point, he increased his understanding of building value with businesses and he was easily able to apply the most effective knowledge in each specific situation. Bringing in new ideas such as Tony does is a key aspect of success for building trust, confidence, and loyalty with your clients. Even if those new ideas aren’t yours, you can still implement them with your clients and bring a higher level of value to their business. Businesses tend to hire consultants for just a handful of reasons — often it’s because they need an extra set of hands to help get things done or to increase the overall capacity of the company. Sometimes consultants are brought in to assess and validate ideas that the company already believes to be true. But the third, more valuable reason consultants are brought in is because a consultant can offer a level of expertise to a company that they aren’t getting internally. When you are able to position yourself as a consultant who has the expertise that companies are looking for, you have made your job easier. As a result. you’ll be able to move up the value pyramid that much quicker. Conversely, if you’re just working as another pair of hands, you will most likely find yourself moving down the value ladder instead. In the remainder of our conversation, Tony shares several ways that you can position yourself as an invaluable asset to any company. Generating More Revenue Starts Here Every consultant wants to position themselves in a place that allows maximum value for their work. The key to actualizing this goal is to become an expert in your field. Tony started out as a technical writer, which he recognized were a dime a dozen. Revenue only started increasing when he realized that he could charge more by fixing sales processes — a shift that did not require that he spend more hours working. The change simply meant positioning himself in such a place that his work was worth more to his clients. By doing this he was able to truly effect change, and the same amount of work started producing far greater revenue results. You may have to start out charging on a rate basis, but it won’t be long before you will be able to switch over to a project basis instead. This pricing model provides higher returns for the same amount of work and this higher value proposition offers more to your customers as well as more return for you. It may seem that, as the consultant, you need to impart to your client all of the knowledge you have through presentations and such, but Tony has a better idea. Asking better questions is an essential part of creating greater value and clarity for both you as the consultant as well as for your clients. Far more than any stories you may have to tell or claims you make are the questions that you ask — the questions will have the greatest impact on your clients. Win Business Today By Taking Action Winning corporate business — or any business — is not easily done, but in this episode Tony shares some of the ways that he has successfully done so. The first step shouldn’t surprise you — it starts with working your network. Making connections in every way you possibly can is essential to every consultant’s success. Tony shares two stories that illustrate the importance of putting yourself out there however you can. After sending out a letter in the mail to over 100 people, one of Tony’s first connections eventually turned into a $2.5 million project with Medtronic. He also tells of a colleague that followed his networking advice and in turn, made an unlikely connection that led to a business deal with Hewlett-Packard. I often tell people that taking action — even if it’s imperfect action — is the only way that you can really get started on the road to consulting success. If you aren’t willing to put yourself out there, you will never know who is who in your network of connections. You have to be willing to reach out in every aspect of your network. By doing so you will absolutely set yourself up for greater success. You’ll be surprised to hear how it worked for Tony, but he is great proof — it really does work. Tips for Generating More Business Once you’ve successfully started working with one company, the next step is to secure business with other companies in the same field. Tony shares two essential tips for making this happen. First, you have to leverage your success within a company to secure more business within that same company. There are strategies to help you move from business unit to business unit, to obtain more business from the unit you were working in as well as to travel up the chain within the company. The second crucial step is to maintain relationships with the people that you have worked with at each company. As layoffs happen people will start working for other companies, remember your work, and you find yourself with new work in another company. This is the most effective way that Tony has found for organically creating new consulting opportunities. If your business is in a place where you need to create brand new connections and generate new leads, Tony has advice for you, as well. Attending the right trade shows in your industry is key. A greater step is to take advantage of the resources that are readily available to you on LinkedIn. Tony shares the ways that he has used this tool to his advantage, and his approach has been tried-and-true over the years — identify the ideal client, invite a list of them to a local group, then create opportunities to meet in person and discuss relevant topics. You will definitely want to listen to how each of these steps has worked for him as he’s worked to create more business. Avoid These Common Consulting Mistakes If your goal is to do business with large companies, it is critical that you understand what kind of environment you are in. From answering RFPs to cold calling, seeking out decision makers to trying to get yourself on a preferred vendor list, there are a number of errors that can easily be avoided if you take the time to understand the nature of the large company environment. Tony shares an example when he didn’t fully understand who he was dealing with and didn’t land a sale as the result. Happy New Year, and all our best to you and yours for 2018, from the Passionate DJ Team! Strap in, because we're going to go over the industry happenings of 2017, the gear no one could stop talking about, and the stuff our team did throughout the year. We'll also cover some of our favorite moments on the show over the last year, allude to what's on the horizon for us in 2018, and even take a crack at our clairvoyance skills and see if we can speculate what to expect in the next year. Of course, the big buzz this year was all about the financial and structural integrity of Soundcloud, as a company. Between Chance the Rapper and some former executives from Vimeo getting involved, Soundcloud seems to be sticking around, but things seemed pretty grim, for a while. Did Denon convince any of you to #ChangeYourRider? They've been the talk of the hardware circles, all year. Love it or hate it, they are coming out swinging against Pioneer, feature-wise...but it's hard to compete with the tenure and relationship Pioneer DJ has with DJs in booths all over the world. This past year was no time to rest, for the PDJ team. We all attended the Dayton Record Fair, which we've all agreed is one of our new staple events. And, even though most of us didn't see quite as many gigs as we'd like in 2017, we all reflected back to what we were able to do and use that as fuel to push even harder in 2018. For Tony, it's all about the next stage and the next adventure, but this year 3DMentional put on his birthday show titled "Another Trip Around The Sun", where they were able to bring the one & only Sasha to little ole Dayton, Ohio. Mo has been tearing up the highways traveling for his sons' football games. Trip tore his ACL and had to have surgery, but didn't let that slow him down (much). David reflects back on doing direct support for Sasha with great pride and excitement, but now yearns for more of that feeling behind the decks. The team also goes over some of our favorite show moments of 2017, including the LIVE video stream of Episode 100, changing our intro theme music, our interviews with DJ Craze and Mixed in Key, as well as DJ Crazy (no relation) from Mo's visit to grandma's in Jamaica. From fan favorites like the Digging For Bedrock episode, or one of our favorites like Pet Peeves, we've got plenty of flashback clips to look back on. And, let's not forget our good friend Kilma! David and Kilma got caught up on 2017 happenings and 2018 plans, with some fresh new Kilma kuts as the backdrop. Make sure to check out her Soundcloud, website, and YouTube channel to stay up to date on her comings and goings, as well as plenty of tips to help DJs along in their aspirations! Don't forget, we now have merch and an online store, an active Ambassador program that we will be looking to recruit for again in 2018, and TONS of more initiatives we are taking on in the coming year, and looking to involve our community. We're looking to also keep wading deeper in to the video world, and to start generating bonus content for you hardcore Passionate DJs. Speaking of you, the Passionate DJ community, we can't thank you, enough, for being as supportive, awesome, and engaged as you have been. We are experiencing growth on a consistent basis, and picking up new listeners all the time. You guys are keeping us honest, and on our toes with your questions, comments, and voicemails. Don't stop now! Stay engaged with us, and let's continue to build this awesome community we have going. You truly are why we do what we do, here. From the bottom of our hearts, here at Passionate DJ, we truly hope you have a safe, happy, and healthy 2018. And remember, we're becoming better DJs, through passion and purpose. Keep on spinning! (PS -- The outro music for today's episode is an unsigned original from Trip Turlington called "Rise Up" -- Available as a free download from his Soundcloud here!)
"Food is what you are, and you are what you eat. Food serves multiple purposes. On one hand, it's to nourish your body with physical things that it needs, but you can also use food to soothe emotions, avoid emotions, as entertainment, or when you feel sad. It allows for a certain degree of emotional manipulation." - Tony Federico Food is an important part of our everyday life, but sometimes we allow unhealthy, processed foods to manipulate our bodies' health and emotions. Unfortunately, eating healthy is not always an easy switch to make with big multinational corporations selling and promoting foods everywhere we look. However, we have the ultimate power to make the decision to decide what we eat every day. Take a moment look inside yourself and ask if your relationship with food is a healthy one. It's okay to admit that it's not a healthy relationship and that you're ready for a change in your life. On this week's podcast, host of the Paleo Magazine Radio podcast, Tony Federico, shares with us how he overcame an unhealthy relationship with food and how making a goal to live a more Paleolithic lifestyle has transformed his body and his life. How To Create A Healthy Relationship With Food As humans that operate from the reptilian brain, what do we ultimately need to thrive? We need real food. Take a moment to think about where our ancestors found their source of food. It wasn't from the processed food section from the grocery store, but from real foods like fruits, nits, seeds, vegetables and different meats. If you are what you eat, then your relationship with food can say a lot about whether you are tuned in with your body or not. Tony himself struggled for quite some time to create a healthy relationship with food. At one point, he found himself in a cycle of doing unhealthy amounts of exercise and eating processed foods that he believed to be healthy. In looking back on his lifestyle, Tony discusses on the show how his obsession of eating healthy food was called Orthorexia nervosa before it even existed. To create a healthy relationship with food, Tony shares how we first get to understand how it helps our body. How all of natural foods' nutrients, vitamins, and more give you the energy and strength to live a healthy life each day. Feeding Yourself From A Place of Love & Abundance "Maybe my body is not the enemy. Maybe I can work with this thing if I understand it."- Tony Federico on the Paleo Diet What does your life balance look like right now? Maybe the mix includes: Nutrition Relationships Career Health Friends Fitness But is everything balanced evenly? What areas do you dedicate your time to the most? Which areas are healthy and which are unhealthy? If your health and nutrition are not at the best place that they can be, you may have to change your daily nutrition. For Tony, going Paleo helped him to rethink the benefits of food and a healthy lifestyle. To give your body the love and abundance that it needs to stay healthy, real food can help give you the right mindset and positive energy that you need in your life. If you're eating unhealthy, it can throw you off balance in all six areas of your life. Reach Your Goals With Reverse Engineering One method to help you complete a goal is to do it via "reverse engineering." Reverse engineering goals is when you pick a specific goal and decide what types of systems, people, and environment you can put into place to help you reach that goal. As part of the goal, you need to have a base number, but it's very important that you have zero judgement towards that number. For example, if you want to lose 20 pounds and your base start number is 200 pounds. Don't judge that number because it will only lead to negative thinking. Instead, use it to help you see the results that you want. Next, do your homework to start planning and creating a strategy. Be responsible and have the will and commitment to do it. Even if your plan isn't working, think about what can you do to change it so that it does work? The slightest tweak can help you get to the goal that you want to complete if you have the willpower to complete it. More About Tony Federico Tony is the host of the Paleo Magazine Radio podcast, author of an eBook audio program deep dish, "Paleo Grilling: A Modern Caveman's Guide to Cooking with Fire", and Cofounder of Powerful PT, an innovative information resource for Fitness Professionals.
