Welcome back to Latte with a Lawyer, a premier law firm podcast highlighting the sharpest minds and strategies in modern litigation. In this episode, managing personal injury attorney Jason Green of Atlanta's Bader Law shares how he applies a high-stakes courtroom mindset to take on powerful corporate entities. From his daily routine fueled entirely by lattes to his transition from a metro Atlanta prosecutor, Jason breaks down what it truly takes to stand up for individuals against massive opposition. He also delivers a masterclass in courtroom narrative strategy, pulling back the curtain on a dramatic case involving a rising professional boxer who was struck by an unmarked police vehicle. After the defense attempted to exploit character stereotypes to dodge accountability, Jason details how he fought back against an insultingly low $60,000 pre-trial offer to secure a massive, life-changing seven-figure jury verdict. Additionally, Jason shares his candid take on recent Georgia tort reform, why a "trial-first" firm culture is a non-negotiable shield for clients, and how his team safely evaluates artificial intelligence tools without falling victim to legal hallucinations.Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-green-7b4404b0Bader Law Website: https://baderlaw.com/https://baderlaw.com/Learn more about EmotionTrac and our AI-driven Emotional Intelligence Platform: https://legal.emotiontrac.com/

Jimmy went to Vegas for No Doubt at the Sphere, then up to a family cabin in Truckee. The Sphere gets a full breakdown — the way the seats actually rumble, why the general admission floor might be the worst seat in the house, how the venue works as both a concert and a movie at the same time, and the weight-based checkout technology that somehow knew exactly what he grabbed off the shelf. After the show, he wandered through the Venetian into a piano bar and ordered what he describes as the worst Sazerac he’s ever had in his life. From there, Frontier Airlines to Reno, parents pick them up, a cabin at Tahoe Donner, a high ropes course, a run-in with Jason Green at a Truckee street market, Jackbox games, and a bear box — not an actual bear. Tyler took the F-350, Fiona on the trailer, the secretary, and Reed down to Rubicon Springs. The pre-trip wasn’t smooth: Fiona’s AC recharged Thursday, leaked back out by Friday morning, and the roof rack bolts were missing entirely — cue a hardware store bolt-matching tangent that goes deep into Torx bits versus hex heads and why that matters for plastic covers. But the trip itself was exactly what Jimmy needed. Dirty Dozen camp. No cell service. Fiona ran the whole trail without any real drama. What made this episode are the trail encounters. At Tahoma staging, Tyler ran into a Jeep crew that had accidentally over-pressurized and broken their mechanical gauge, which turns into a full explanation of why digital gauges exist and why analog gauge accuracy degrades at the edges of the scale — MorrFlate context makes this land. Then on trail, a Canadian couple stranded since Wednesday with a broken Dana 35, a sheared steering box, and a winch that pulled off the bumper — all in one trip — and this was the wife’s first time ever offroading. Tyler explains the TFS spare parts program at Rubicon Springs (donate your old upgraded parts so they can bail out people exactly like this couple), and it’s one of the better trail culture segments they’ve done in a while. Also on the weekend: Justin Wicks ripping the entire Rubicon on a dirt bike faster than Tyler predicted, Greg Bakken rolling through solo in his two-door JC, Horton showing up to camp, Chris Neely floating down the river with Emma on what was allegedly their first date, a listener named Max welding a diff drain plug using Tyler’s Karnage suitcase welder, and an Australian MorrFlate owner who told his buddies they needed to get one — not knowing he was talking to the actual owner. Jason Green was serving in the Obama White House when a phone call from his mother sent him home to sit with his grandmother in the hospital — and into a story he never knew was his. In this conversation, we talk about the hidden history of Quince Orchard, a Black community founded after emancipation, and three segregated churches that chose to merge in 1968 after Dr. King's assassination. We explore remembrance before reconciliation, the communal strength of the Black church, breaking cycles of harm, and what it actually costs to build resilient, integrated community in a divided time. If you're asking where we go from here — chaos or community — this episode is for you.Jason G. Green is a Maryland-born community organizer, attorney, entrepreneur, and storyteller whose work sits at the intersection of economic opportunity, community trust-building, and democratic renewal. He is the author of the forthcoming book Too Precious to Lose (One World | Penguin Random House, 2026), an intimate narrative that blends a personal, community history with a broader call to repair the connections that bind us together.Green served as Special Assistant to the President and Associate White House Counsel to President Obama, advising on domestic and economic policy during the recovery from the Great Recession. He later co-founded SkillSmart, a pioneering workforce and economic-impact software company that has helped quantify more than $100 billion in economic development activity and supported a talent pipeline of more than 50,000 skilled workers across the United States. He is the President and CEO of EverGreen Labs, a strategy studio that helps organizations deepen stakeholder alignment, improve market positioning, and drive measurable business outcomes. Ravi Gupta examines new data challenging the idea of a strong economic recovery and connects the week's biggest political and cultural stories—from deficits, tariffs, and the Epstein revelations to immigration, schools, and AI—before asking a deeper question: what holds a society together when trust in institutions fades? What if the best way to understand marriage is to talk to the person who sees it fall apart every day? In this episode, Danielle sits down with James Sexton, a high-stakes divorce attorney, bestselling author, and the man clients describe as “the sociopath you want on your side.” After 25 years and thousands of cases, Sexton has witnessed love at its breaking point + is sharing the unfiltered lessons that most couples never learn until it's too late. From prenups to cheating, social media to second marriages, he reveals what really destroys relationships—and what actually keeps them alive. This conversation goes way beyond the courtroom; into love, fragility, human complexity, and why marriage is both the riskiest and most rewarding gamble you'll ever take. James Sexton shares: The biggest mistakes that lead to divorce (and how to avoid them) Why 73% of divorces are initiated by women + what that really means The shocking truths about love, sex, cheating, and forgiveness he's seen firsthand Why your spouse's social media feed might be the biggest threat to your marriage What “high conflict” divorce really looks like (and why most divorces aren't that) How money complicates marriage The simple but overlooked practice that could save your relationship Why every marriage ends in either death or divorce What second marriages teach us about doing it right the first time Why James believes love isn't permanent…it's on loan Follow James Sexton on Instagram: @nycdivorcelawyer Explore his book How to Stay in Love Book Rec: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr + Unworld by Jason Green

I am Jason Green-Lowe, the executive director of the Center for AI Policy (CAIP). Our mission is to directly convince Congress to pass strong AI safety legislation. As I explain in some detail in this post, I think our organization has been doing extremely important work, and that we've been doing well at it. Unfortunately, we have been unable to get funding from traditional donors to continue our operations. If we don't get more funding in the next 30 days, we will have to shut down, which will damage our relationships with Congress and make it harder for future advocates to get traction on AI governance. In this post, I explain what we've been doing, why I think it's valuable, and how your donations could help. This is the first post in what I expect will be a 3-part series. Nona Belomesoff was an 18-year-old full of dreams. She had just graduated high school, and while most of her friends were planning vacations or enjoying summer break, Nona was preparing for her future—specifically, a career in wildlife rescue. Her passion for animals, especially horses, was something that defined her. So, when an opportunity presented itself, she jumped at the chance. It came in the form of a message from a man named Jason Green. After accepting a job training opportunity with Jason, Nona disappears. Nona Belomesoff's disappearance was no ordinary case. It was a chilling reminder of how easily trust could be manipulated, how a dream could turn into a nightmare, and how the people we meet online might not always be who they say they are.Sources:#killerpost Season 1, Episode 4https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/nona-belomesoff-facebook-murder/https://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-08-31/cunning-acebook-killer-jailed-for-21-years/4235692https://www.thetimes.com/uk/crime/article/man-who-lured-teen-to-death-over-facebook-jailed-rwjhfwk8v5jhttps://themaverickfiles.medium.com/parolee-uses-fake-facebook-profile-to-lure-animal-loving-teen-be64d2dcd3ec Send us a textEmail Residue: residuepodcast@gmail.comFind RESIDUE online:Instagram: @residuepodcastTik Tok: @residuepodcast Facebook: Residue:A True Crime Podcast Credits: RESIDUE is Hosted/Produced/Researched/Edited by Chrissy Champagne THEME SONG: "Dance Of Death" by Purple Planet Music collection written and performed by Chris Martyn and Geoff Harvey. This week's episode features a conversation with Jason Green. He shares his journey from working at the White House to creating the documentary, Finding Fellowship. His documentary explores the history of the Pleasant View Historic Site, a three-acre piece of land that his great-great-grandfather helped purchase in 1868. The site includes a schoolhouse, a church, and a social hall that were central to the black community of Quince Orchard. Jason emphasizes the importance of preserving and restoring these buildings as a way to connect with history, build community, and pass on a legacy to future generations. There were some fun takeaways from this one including:How taking the time to connect with our ancestors and learn their stories can have a profound impact on our own lives. How giving back to your community can lead to unexpected outcomes and starting a project before you feel ready (or before you even have a camera in his case) can lead to meaningful outcomes. Federal Tech Podcast: Listen and learn how successful companies get federal contracts
Cheap storage and fast Internet have made data collection cheap and fast. It is no wonder that we have federal agencies that are drowning in data. Some will argue that the federal government is the largest collector of data in the world. That may be a fantastic fun fact that will dazzle your neighbors, but how is that data being used to move forward the goals of the agency? Today, we sat down with Jason Green from Virtru. He brings his considerable experience to bear when he describes how agencies can optimize that data. He provides his thoughts on digital strategy, collaboration, and safeguarding that data. STRATEGY During the interview, Jason makes a sage observation. He remarks that when looking at the overview of digital transformation strategy, the focus has been on applications and not the data itself. AI will be making increasing inroads around decision-making and serious decisions cannot be derived from dirty data. COLLOBORAGE – When a data analyst is limited to one data set their conclusions can be biased. The need for collaboration is obvious. The “how” is the tricky part. Jason suggests that more careful attention be paid to tagging data so that some fields can be shared and some not. SAFEGUARDING – Years ago, data was guarded with hashing techniques. In today's fast-changing world, mere hashing is not sufficient. Data stores can be injected with poison data; this means continuous monitoring must be stretched into the data stores themselves. If you would like to learn more about managing data, you may want to attend “DMV Rising” a networking event at Virtru headquarters in Washington DC on September 5, 2024. You will be able to sit in on sessions as well as ask face-to-face questions for subject matter experts. = = = www.podscorecard.com Connect to John Gilroy on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-gilroy/ Got goin' to Mars on your bucket list? On this episode we head up to Georgia for the inaugural year of the Canebreak 200 by Jason Green's Yeti Trail Runners! On the chat, we've got two Floridians who got it done...Rex Stinnett and Robyn Abrasley. They absolutely crushed it out there! Rex got it done with a time of 83:05:32 and Robin got it done with a time of 81:14:32! While this was Rex's first 200 miler, he's done races like the Dark Anchor, the Wildcat Ultras, Bear Bait, and Lake Martin! Likewise for Robyn, this was also her first time for the 200 mile distance! She's done races like the Wildcat Ultras, Bear Bait, the Yeti 100, and the Destin Beach Ultra! The Canebreak 200 runs past the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company textile mill, through movie locations like The Hunger Games, and wilderness just outside of Atlanta at Sweetwater Creek State Park. The course consists of a 5 mile loop followed by a 10 mile outer loop!
This year James Mathis took on the inaugural year of the Dark Anchor by Jason Green's Yeti Trail Runners in Savannah, Georgia. He was one of the many Floridians who took on the 3.34 mile course! He went out there and crushed it for 50 miles and a new distance PR! He was, as always, rocking the Team Beef Florida gear and we dive into that, some craft beer, and how the race went down! James has done races like the River-to-Sea, the Skunk Ape Night Run, the Sandridge, Azalea 12 Hr, and the Seven Trails Ultra Festival! He's also your man at the Fire Berm aid station at the Skunk Ape's Revenge! The Dark Anchor takes place at the Wormsloe State Park and follows a 3.34 mile course for 34 Hours! There is a small out-n-back on live oak ave (think Forest Gump!) as this view never gets old. An Anchor with the words 'Refuse to sink' is a firm sign of hope to hold on to. It means that an individual will not let a struggle become an anchor in stopping them to reach their goals. . It can be referenced back to a bible verse, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure". Enjoy!
