Framing Hanley recently dropped a new single, "Mean It (Photographs and Gasoline, Pt 2)", with plans for more music forthcoming in 2025. Nixon joined this episode of A-SIDES to share details on new music, touring this spring, navigating the music business, growing up in Tennessee, raising kids and sharing his hobbies with them, and even some pro-wrestling deep cuts come up throughout the conversation! Huge thanks to Nixon and the guys in Framing Hanley! Jonathan Stoye (of Framing Hanley and The Infamous HER) returns to A-SIDES for Episode 187 as we look back at "The Year 2000." That year was chock-full of debuts from the likes of 3 Doors Down and Disturbed, to records from veteran rock acts like U2 and Iron Maiden, and the ever-present TRL pop music. Jonathan shares a few of his memorable albums from 2000, while also revisiting a few commercials, and we hear about Andy's "educational" high school. Don't miss out on new music from Framing Hanley in 2025 and stay updated through their Facebook page, along with Jonathan's own solo music, too. Huge thanks to Jonathan for making another appearance on A-SIDES!
Episode 152 features special guest Jonathan Stoye (The Infamous HER, Framing Hanley), whose musical journey has taken him from Michigan to Tennessee, and back again. Making friends and connections isn't the purpose of A-SIDES but it's rewarding when it does happen. Jonathan Stoye is one of those guests, as we dove into his background and discovered some common ground with private school, nu metal, and Jimmy Eat World. Big thanks to Jonathan for taking the time to chat for this latest episode of A-SIDES. You can follow him online in several places, such as Framing Hanley's Facebook page and Jonathan's own website.

Aztán előveszünk egy-egy Framing Hanley, John Garcia and the Band of Gold, Iron Maiden, Loudness, Periphery és Inglorious felvételt is, vagyis a zenei sokszínűségből - a djenttől a tradicionális heavy metalon át a stoner rockig - most sem lesz hiány. Kenneth Nixon from the band Framing Hanley joins Garage Guy Chase and Chef BoiRDeen to recap the NFL Divisional Playoffs and give their takes on the weekend. The guys got together for the New Orleans Saints Vs. Tampa Bay Bucs game in Nashville in what was dubbed the History Channel game, and Tom Brady and The Bucs prevailed in not allowing Drew Brees and the Saints to beat them for a third time. To add to Saints fans heartbreak, this may be the last team we see Drew Brees take the field in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the AFC Championship over Baker Mayfield and The Browns by the skin of their teeth, after Patrick Mahomes was ruled out of the game in the second half. Chad Henne brought the heat for Club Backup QB to help push the Chiefs to face off against Josh Allen and the electric Buffalo Bills. The LA Rams couldn't shake the tough cheese in Green Bay against Aaron Rodgers and The Packers, and it makes no sense due to the dominant forces on the Rams Defense. Beta Piss Boy (Sean Mcvay) heads back to Cali. Nixon talks about Aaron Jones and the Green Bay running back room, and how Gardner Minshew would be a good fit in LA now that the Jaguars are restructuring with Urban Meyer. Join us this week as we welcome the rock band, Farewell 2 Fear. Hailing from New Orleans, LA., Farewell 2 Fear was born out of the huge black hole that mainstream rock radio left during the absence of super rock stars like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Sound Garden. Farewell 2 Fear revisits that era with big rock riffs, big choruses and big anthems for a new generation of mainstream rockers. Launched in 2010, Farewell 2 Fear was formed out of a passion for music with a message. In late summer 2012 the band met former Creed, Sevendust and Paramore Manager, Jeff Hanson. F2F was immediately signed to Hanson’s ADA promoted and distributed label, Silent Majority Group. SMG is home to Tantric, Candlebox and Framing Hanley. Under the A&R direction of Hanson the band co-wrote and produced the album "New Blood" with Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Creed). Their first single "Fire" was exclusively released to SiriusXM’s Octane and debuted at number one on their playlist and landed at #8 on the listener generated “Big-Uns” countdown! The band also launched lyric videos on Youtube for “Fire” and a cover version of Rhianna’s “Diamonds” (played recently on The Howard Stern Show). Their debut LP album "New Blood" releases in April. We will talk with them about their upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at their music, feature their latest songs and ask them to share their message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Farewell 2 Fear at http://www.farewell2fear.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and chat live with them during the show. If you would like to participate in the live chat during the show, you must sign up on the show site first and then log in during the show. Be sure to join us, Sunday 6/2/13 at 4 PM EDT! Our message to the troops....WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.

Farewell 2 Fear revisits that era with big rock riffs, big choruses and big anthems for a new generation of mainstream rockers. The band has members in New Orleans, Jacksonville and Lincoln. Launched in 2010, Farewell 2 Fear was formed out of a passion for music with a message. F2F music at the core is that of “empowerment” and endless possibilities. The meaning behind the name: fear impedes all areas of our lives’, the day you say “Farewell 2 Fear” is the day you realize that you are free from any obstacle holding you back from living the life you were meant to live. Couple that message in with talented vocals, awesome writing, killer guitars, bass and drums and you have F2F. In late summer 2012 the band met former Creed, Sevendust and Paramore Manager, Jeff Hanson. F2F was immediately singed to Hanson’s ADA promoted and distributed label, Silent Majority Group. SMG is home to Tantric, Candlebox and Framing Hanley. Under the A&R direction of Hanson the band co-wrote and produced the album New Blood with Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Creed). Farewell 2 Fear’s first single from the LP was exclusively released to SiriusXM’s Octane and debuted at number one on their playlist and landed at #8 on the listener generated “Big-Uns” countdown! The band launched lyric videos on YouTube for “Fire” and a cover version of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” in January and generated over 50,000 views in the first 4 weeks.

Nothing could have prepared us for this… This is both the first episode of Nerdy Show Prime and an unparalleled document of the unusual. Nerdy Show Prime is a new brand of monthly episode dedicated to big topics that take an entire full-length show to discuss. However, we’d pushed aside our originally intended topic to tackle a more pressing matter… the disappearance of our good friend, Dean Wallace. You may remember Dean from some of our previous episodes such as Duck Hunt and Were the Wild Things Are, if not don’t worry, we’ve got a recap for you. Dean’s an outdoorsman, and he’s had one or two run-ins with the paranormal… including werewolves. During our call-in episode, Dial-A-Dork, Dean’s eldest son, Gary called in… one thing led to another and suffice it to say he claimed he has a big hairy secret and he wanted to take his anger out on his dad. We thought Dean had the situation under control, but he’s been missing for the last two weeks. Cap and Hex visited his house one night only to find it ransacked. The police don’t have any solid leads, and no one knows where Gary is. This episode was originally put together to spread public awareness of Dean’s disappearance and also to raise social consciousness about the growing numbers of young people willingly becoming vampires, werewolves, and other beasties. To help with this, we’ve partnered with No Fangs – an organization devoted to changing lives by encouraging folks to say “no fangs” to becoming creatures of the night. Joining us for much of the show is Luke McDuffee, songwriter and bassist for alt. rock band Framing Hanley (and a Nerdy Show listener) who travels the country with No Fangs, teaching kids about the folly of turning to paranormal lifestyles. Everything was all good and well… but only a short while into the episode we started to hear strange noises and inexplicable happenings have us questioning our already wavering beliefs… Can ghosts haunt data files like video games and podcasts? …We can only assure you that everything you hear in this episode is real. What you choose to believe is up to you. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
