In today's message, Pastor Ken visits the Book of Revelation and makes comparisons to the city of Babylon that has yet to come and the nation of Tyre. In the Book of Ezekiel, the nation of Tyre was one of a few nations who plotted against God and suffered their inevitable defeat. But Pastor Ken dissects the comparisons the two cities will have. And just like the destruction of Tyre, the city of Babylon will suffer the same defeat at the hands of our mighty God. God will judge the city of Babylon and all of its inhabitants.
In the Book of Ezekiel, many events and prophecies that occurred are seen at various other points in the Bible. One correlation was the destruction of Tyre. Tyre was a nation that conspired against God's plans and ultimately saw their demise. The correlation was to the nation of Babylon in the Book of Revelation and its inevitable destruction. In today's message, Pastor Ken informs us that we are to take caution. These are not just warnings but signs that we're coming closer to the return of Jesus Christ.
Isn't it unbelievable that we're still discovering things from the Bible in our times? The Bible is not only the Word of God but a history of what the world was like. In today's message, Pastor Ken tells us that our discoveries of ancient lost cities and relics of the past line up with what the Bible teaches. The Bible is the oldest written peace of documented History humanity has ever had. And while we are still finding things from the Bible, the world around us confirms the things in the Bible that were yet to happen.

This episode is the launch of my new book called “Listen, Learn and Love: Building the Good Ship Zion”. The “Good Ship Zion” represents The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and all the good it can bring into our lives. But not everyone feels welcome and secure in the boat. Instead of putting the responsibility on others to get comfortable—or to figuratively stop rocking the boat—we can all work in our circles of influence to improve the Good Ship Zion for everyone, as we journey together to the safe harbor of God's presence. Chapters: Loving members who are “foyer sitters” Is it okay to turn down a calling? Ministering to those with church-generated pain or trauma How should we treat those who leave the Church? Supporting members dealing with death Better support for single Latter-day Saints Supporting couples in their decisions about children. Much of the content of the book are Latter-day Saints sharing these perspectives. They are some of my heroes. I encourage everyone to read the book and share it with others. And please leave a review on Amazon and Deseret Book (there in a month or two). The story goes that anyone who leaves the Good Ship Zion comes back all wet and half drowned. But in this episode, Stephen Carter argues that this is short-sighted, and that a journey away from the ship may actually be the best way to save both yourself and the ship.
