THIS PROFOUNDLY INTERESTING story of one woman's astonishing recovery from two painful and debilitating diseases is an extraordinary testament to the miraculous powers of spiritual healing. At age sixteen, Sheri Perl was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. After two years of medical treatment, she was fighting for her life on the operating table. While recovering from surgery, a second illness contracted through blood transfusions was declared fatal. At this time Sheri contacted British spiritual healer, Harry Edwards, “purely out of desperation,” and to her amazement was the recipient of a healing so great, that it stopped her illness in its tracks, and returned her liver functions to normal. As a result of this experience, Sheri opened the doors to spiritual exploration, eventually leading her to the home of the extraordinary medium Jane Roberts, who during her lifetime spoke for a fascinating entity, called Seth. It was there that Sheri learned about the power of thought and its influence on our lives. Through Sheri's story you will learn about the presence of the unseen world of spirit and how it can and does interact with us. In her spiritual healing program Sheri teaches you how to develop your own innate healing abilities from receiving to directing healing energy. No less important, the healing program will show you how to work with the contents of your mind to become your own best ally as opposed to your own worst critic. A must-read for self-healing.https://www.amzn.com/dp/B01MFCSVPShttps://www.sheriperl.com/ https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/ourparanormalafterlife

In 2008, her 22-year-old son Daniel died of an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs. Needless-to-say, Sheri suffers greatly from this loss; however, what helps her is the knowledge that Daniel is safe in the spirit world and “connecting up” with him through thought, feelings, dreams, signs and reputable mediums. Yet he like Sam Rubin, Douglas Murray, Tom Holland and others claims to be a cultural Christian. Why would the man who paid for bus advertisements dismissing God want to be identified with Christianity? Dawkins likes the benefits of living in a Christian society. But what Dawkins forgets is for any society to sustain the fruits of Christianity, there needs to be a strong root of true belief in Jesus. Should Christians Seek to Shape Culture? What should be the role of the church in shaping the broader culture of our society? Today's secular culture seems to be running further and further away from its Christian roots. But does that mean we no longer have a responsibility to it? Are Christians to withdraw from the world or do we bear a responsibility to try and move culture toward a more moral and Godly direction? For today's podcast, I'm behind the radio mike, joining the Apologetics.com team of Dr. Harry Edwards and Dr. Jacob Daniel to discuss just what we mean by culture and identify what duties the church has in bringing culture more in line with our biblical values.

When Michigan star Desmond Howard struck the Heisman pose against Ohio State in 1991, he cemented his legacy as a college football great and etched his name in football history books. Fresh off of his alma mater's big National Championship win this week, the former Heisman winner and MIchigan great Desmond Howard, sits with Ryan, Channing and Fred to chat about his life on and off the field from growing up in impoverished parts of Cleveland to his NFL legacy as a Super Bowl MVP for Green Bay to his proudest accomplishment, being a good husband and father. Witnessing the change of football over the years, especially at college level, Desomd talks what it means for the game with legends of Nick Saban and Bill Bilichick stepping away from coaching and how NIL has lessened the competition mindset and added to entitlement for young athletes. Today, Desmond is known as one of the most pleasant people in sports media and has become a staple on ESPN's College Gameday broadcasts. However, in a recent scandal with the Sports Emmys, Desmond and his fellow co-hosts of College GameDay had their statues taken back from them when a scandal was uncovered by the television academy of listing fake names for talent to win in categories. Desmond opens up for the first time as the news is breaking and shares the one thing that really pushed him to the edge in the entire situation, Lee Corso losing his too. With divorced parents and an atmosphere filled with gangs, drugs and violence, Desmond's adversity in high school and college only helped motivate him to outwork his situation. Yet as he was told in an impromptu meeting with famous Dr. Harry Edwards, there is a struggle that must be. A man whose biggest moments transcended college football forever is etched into the minds of fans both new and old. By approaching football and life with gratitude, he has no regrets, and the smile people see on TV is the same one Desmond Howard has away from it.  New episodes drop on Tuesdays at 12 p.m. ET and Fridays at 3:30 p.m ET on YouTube, with audio available on all streaming platforms including Apple, Spotify and Amazon. UNEXPLAINED MYSTERIES with bestselling author and researcher Steph Young

New Book Release – Proof of the Afterlife – The Dead Don't Die This book is the result of two year's intensive study of physical mediumship, both past and present; of the ‘dead' physically returning, of ‘spirit doctors' curing “incurable” patients, of interviewing numerous mediums, and of joining a development circle in order to become a medium myself. To say it's been a wild ride would be an understatement. I've stepped into a mysterious, compelling, addictive and utterly mind-blowing arena, where I've seen things I never thought possible; where I've communicated directly with family in the afterlife, had spirits take over my body, and felt the physical touch of spirits. I've heard and seen ‘dead' people, been operated on by a “spirit doctor”, and I've been poked, prodded and tickled by spirit children. Of course, unless it's personally seen, felt, and experienced, this is all understandably very hard to believe, and I'm as sceptical as the next person; perhaps even more so. I'd encourage the reader to venture into their own exploration to discover this proof, that no matter how much it defies our logical, rational mind, these things can and really do happen, as I've discovered for myself; that the dead don't really die: they're still around us, all the time. Physical mediumship may be going on across the land in small closed home circles, but they usually remain private and do not get known about these days, while in years gone-by, thousands of people would get to experience these things. With the invention of television and its multitude of channels to watch, with the internet, gaming, mobile phones; everyone is spoiled for choice when it comes to evening entertainment. In the old days, there were no televisions, no mobile phones, no internet, and often very little money too. Spiritualism was readily and enthusiastically experimented with in the comfort of people's own homes, often for such entertainment purposes, but also because after the two World Wars, there were so many families in mourning and desperate to be reunited with their dead sons and husbands, fathers and grandfathers. Just like a family might have gathered together and played a game of cards or parlour games; many families were creating Ouija boards or attempting table-tipping, or simply sitting in the dark and waiting in hope, endeavouring to receive some kind of communication from their dead; or they would hear about a séance from neighbours or friends, and many would go to a local Spiritualist Church. These days, Spiritualist Churches still exist, though they're far from packed nowadays, and it's harder to find a local development circle, for most of them simply don't exist anymore, or don't advertise for members and are known only by word of mouth. It's certainly no longer a past-time of families across the land anymore. At the turn of the 20th Century, the medium John Campbell Sloan would hold open seances at his house in Scotland, where he would demonstrate direct voice phenomena; where voices would be heard in the room, but they were not coming from Sloan himself. The medium Alec Harris would produce spirit materialisations – where “dead” people literally walked around the seance room and shook hands with the guests and held conversations with them. Investigators like Edward Brackett and Colonel Henry Steel Olcott would weigh materialised spirits on weighing scales, and surgeons who had died would come back to operate on patients through the hands of mediums like Isa Northage, Jessie Thomas, Tom Pilgrim, or William Lilley who carried out ‘spirit operations' in front of crowds of witnesses, who would testify before a court to the truth of what they had seen; and there would be x-rays and hospital records to prove it. The medium Harry Edwards would hold public demonstrations, to a packed Royal Albert Hall in London with thousands watching him carry out a live healing or give highly accurate evidential messages. This week the books I am reading from are 'WhatsApps from Heaven Bereavement in the Twenty-first Century' by Louise Hamlin and 'An Exploration of Trance Mediumship' by Chris RatterChris RatterWhen psychic surgeon Chris Ratter was starting out on his own path of unfolding trance mediumship, he found there was very little information available to clarify certain points or answer questions he had. His desire to ensure others did not feel the same isolation and confusion became his main motivation for writing An Exploration of Trance Mediumship. Chris takes the reader on a touching quest to find greater understanding of the bridge between our world and the world of spirit, explaining key aspects of trance mediumship as well as introducing the reader to his spirit team and providing insight as to how he came to know his individual guides. All mediumship is healing, and an accurate, perceptive verbal communication from a loved one in spirit has the power to mend a metaphorical broken heart. When it comes to the physical body, however, Chris's psychic surgery, which goes hand-in-hand with his trance mediumship, has the power to heal across the spectrum of psychological and physiological conditions.BioChris was aware of the Spirit World from an early age and remembers at the age of ten, playing a game in which he would simply sit and shift his consciousness elsewhere. Looking back now he can see that this was a very early introduction to the altered state of trance. The biggest influence on the young Chris was his late grandfather who took him to various Spiritualist Churches and in doing so captivated the interest of the boy, and left him with a fascination for the Spiritual World that would remain with him throughout his life. However, it wasn't until the age of 38 that Chris began to hear and see the spirit world in a way he had not since he was a child, finally receiving the wake up call which would take him on his soul's purpose. He began to visit spiritual churches again and one evening the medium strongly informed him from the platform that he was destined to engage in spiritual healing work using his ‘healing hands'. Chris then decided to develop his mediumistic abilities which soon led him to working in the altered states, and with the help of an internationally renowned tutor and Trance Medium, he began his journey to becoming a trance healer. He now works with a large team of surgeons, specialists, doctors and healers from the spirit realms, finally using his ‘healing hands' to help others. Chris's healing journey continues daily, with his workers in the spirit world hinting at all sorts of amazing things to come. Hard work, discipline and dedication are all Chris's watchwords and massive mutual trust and respect exists between him and his spirit team which is led by legendary healer Harry Edwards. https://www.amazon.com/Exploration-Trance-Mediumship-Chris-Ratter-ebook/dp/B0BBSS4G5V/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1666345520&sr=8-1https://www.chrisratterpsychicsurgeon.com/Louise HamlinThis is a book about bereavement and also about the many extraordinary happenings and signs from the afterlife that then followed. Louise talks about her personal experience of grief, in all its facets, and in a way that will resonate with readers who are bereaved. She also details, in careful and precise language, the succession of signs that she received, apparently from her husband after his death. She describes how to start with she was very sceptical and looked for all sorts of other explanations, but eventually, she came to accept that the signs, including WhatsApps and dematerialisations, must have come from her husband's spirit in the afterlife. She explains how these signs have completely changed her understanding of life and death. This book should bring comfort to the bereaved, and will encourage those left behind to recognise signs that are sent to them by their loved ones.BioI never thought that I would be creating a website and telling the world about myself, but it is strange how life presents sudden unexpected twists and turns.Until recently, my life experiences were pretty conventional. I was a divorced mother of three and a law lecturer. Then I met my second husband. We moved to the country and I started to make pots. Our life was idyllic until my husband's untimely death at the comparatively young age of 71. This was a terrible, heart-breaking loss, which seemed to leave nothing but devastation in its wake. But then slowly the grief became shot through with threads of joy because, against all expectation, I started to receive signs and messages from him. My book, WhatsApps from Heaven, Bereavement in the Twenty-first Century, is an account both of my bereavement and of the amazing signs that I received— and continue to receive up to this day. I had no belief in the afterlife until I received signs which, in my eyes, were quite irrefutable. Now I find immense comfort in knowing that consciousness survives death, and I want to share my story, to bring solace to others who are bereaved.https://www.amazon.co.uk/WhatsApps-Heaven-Bereavement-Twenty-first-Century-ebook/dp/B0B3H9WTHP/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1666435396&sr=8-1https://louisehamlin.co.uk/https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.pastlivespodcast.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/pastlivespodcast

The track in San Jose has been turned into a parking lot. But the legacy of Speed City is alive and well, on and off the track. More than half a century after Tommie Smith and John Carlos sprinted their way into the spotlight and shocked the world with a silent protest on the victory stand, the ripple effects of their actions can still be felt today. Their mentor Dr. Harry Edwards is still a central figure in the world of sports too. He works closely with activist athletes like Colin Kaepernick and consults with professional sports leagues on issues of racial equity. And the coaching methods of Bud Winter? They transformed the sport, and are deep in the DNA of some of the world's best sprinters.

It's our great honor to welcome the founder of Apologetics.com, the delightfully humorous Lion of Christian Apologetics, Dr. Harry Edwards. Dr. Edwards is ethnically Filipino, speaks Tagalog fluently having grown up there in the big city on Luzon. Harry moved to the US lawfully when he was a very young man. There were many, many years when every time you went into the Biola University bookstore, back when they sold, well, books instead of everything else besides books (you can buy coffee mugs, skis, hunting rifles, used Toyota trucks, and rare military insignia, but not like hard cover books anymore at the Biola Book Store since the decline began)(actually, hunting rifles would be progress, but), you would see Harry Edwards there, the king of the Biola Bookstore Commonwealth. And that's because fundamentally Harry is a nerd, sure, but more superficially, it's because Harry was the Biola Bookstore Manager. In other words, you thought of Harry, you thought, books. Books, books, books. And he loves books, and he had and has a passion for introducing people to books, books, and more books. That alone would be a good reason to be a fan of Dr. Harry Edwards. Harry has jet black hair (and he's old, and he does not dye it), he's got dark skin, and he grew up elsewhere, yet he is a red-blooded American. Dr. Harry Edwards has a passion for reaching the lost in America, especially Generation Z, with the wonderful news (true, defensible news) of the historic, biblical Christian Gospel and all the truths of general revelation that flow out of and are consistent with that view of the world. His doctoral dissertation was on reaching Generation Z with Apologetics. His doctorate is a D.Min., a Doctor of Ministry, with emphasis in Apologetics from the epicenter of scholarship on Christian Apologetics, Southern California's Biola University, Talbot School of Theology, in Lost Angeles County. (D. Min. is ironically pronounced "dmon" -- ironic because there's nothing dmonic about it, actually). Many years ago Harry founded Apologetics.com which he still runs while on the pastoral staff of Christian church in Orange County, California. Part of that effort involves a late-night radio program and podcast in Lost Angeles which helps listeners develop, refine, correct, and progress in the best way to understand Christianity and the world. The Republican Professor is a pro-books, pro-awesome-bookstore-that-actually-sells-books, pro-Apologetics-done-right, pro-red-blooded-American-no-matter-what-color-you-appear-to-be, pro-America-loving-lawful-immigrant, pro-re-thinking-how-best-to-reach-the-young podcast. Therefore, welcome Dr. Harry Edwards, D.Min. (in Christian Apologetics, Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, California). The co-host for this episode is Kurtis Olson, co-founder of TheRepublicanProfessor.com The Republican Professor podcast is produced and hosted by Dr. Lucas J. Mather, Ph.D. --- A helpful note on the numbering of TRP episodes: This is Episode 70 of The Republican Professor on YouTube. The last two audio-only episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc. (featuring a topic on which YouTube censors free discussion) featured Dr. John R. Lott, Ph.D. and Jon Matthews. The last YouTube episode, The Fatty Truth on Instagram on Political Censorship, was numbered episode 68 on YouTube because our Good Friday and Easter episodes 2022 were not numbered. But this is the 70th episode uploaded to The Republican Professor channel on YouTube. The Audio only version of The Republican Professor podcast included Episode 1 on Abortion, recorded January 2021 with K-12 Public School Teacher Aaron Axtell, published late 2021. Episode 2 was published early 2022. Episode 2 of the audio-only line-up is Episode 1 on YouTube, since the real Episode 1 with Aaron Axtell on Abortion did not have video. By the early 1960s, Speed City was earning a reputation for breaking records. But Bud Winter's track program was broke. He stretched his scholarship budget so far that many athletes struggled to make ends meet. That, coupled with the racism Black athletes faced on the mostly white campus of San Jose, ignited the budding activist Dr. Harry Edwards. He wanted to take a page out of the playbook being written by civil rights leaders of the moment like Dr. King. And he realized the attention paid to Black athletes gave them the power to be heard.

Dr. Harry Edwards is a renowned sociologist and civil rights activist best known for his focus on the vital connections between race, society, and professional sports. Known as a “giant of sports activism,” and “the father of sports sociology,” Harry has spent the past half-century advocating for the rights of Black athletes and the need for Black leadership in sports, from the NFL to the Olympics. In 1967, he was a co-founder and lead organizer of the Olympic Project for Human Rights, a movement designed to expose how America used Black athletes to lie to the world (and to itself) about institutional racism. From 1970 until 2000, he taught sociology at the University of California at Berkeley, where he is now Professor Emeritus; and since the 1980s, he's worked as a consultant for individual teams and as well as entire leagues in professional sports, helping them to bring more diversity into their leadership, their players, and their thinking. He is the author of four books, including The Revolt of the Black Athlete and The Struggle That Must Be: An Autobiography, and countless essays and articles about sports, race, and sociology. To this day, his fight for justice endures. We are so excited for you to hear this conversation with Harry Edwards!
