Ron Keel's RFK Media label digs deep to release Cold Sweat - “Unburied Alive” in conjunction with the band's appearance at the 2024 M3 Festival May 5th.The foundation of this album consists of four unreleased studio tracks from the early 90's, which showcase the band (Marc Ferrari & Erik Gamans, guitar – Chris McLernon, bass – Anthony White, drums – and Roy Cathey, vocals) delivering powerful heavy melodic rock at its finest. The lead track “Rain Down” is a classic-style arena rock working class anthem; “Unburied Alive” also features vintage concert cuts from their 1990 appearance at the Super Rock Festival in Mannheim, Germany supporting Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Dio and Poison, plus recent modern-era live recordings from their triumphant reunion at the 2020 Monsters Of Rock Cruise pre-party. Ferrari founded Cold Sweat after departing the band Keel in 1989. The band released their acclaimed cult classic “Break Out” on MCA Records and toured the US and Europe before falling victim to the changing musical landscape of the 90's. This collection of recordings proves that the music has stood the test of time, and the men behind that music plan to drive that point home when they hit the stage May 5th in Columbia, Maryland at this year's M3 Festival, on the bill with Bret Michaels, Night Ranger, Y&T and Stryper.“We [RFK Media] heard these unreleased studio tracks and realized immediately, we have to get this music out there,” explains RFK chief Ron Keel. “Then we found out there were unreleased live tracks, not just from the 2020 reunion but from the 1990 festival appearance in Germany. It was like an uppercut to the jaw, a right cross and a body blow in quick succession, and we're ready to deliver the knockout punch with this very special Cold Sweat release.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

DOGBONE featuring Keel guitarist Bryan Jay, Keel drummer Dwain Miller, new vocalist Bob Reynolds (7 Angels, Fierce Heart, Grave Danger) and bassist David Dion have released the new single “Speed Kills,” a full throttle heavy metal thrill ride full of dangerous turns and high speed straightaways. The track is featured on RFK Media's “LIVE THE ROCK Volume One” CD and now available on all digital and streaming platforms, along with the relentlessly dizzying lyric video, via http://lnk.to/dogbonespeedkills. Originally formed in the cultural transition between 80's metal and 90's grunge, DOGBONE once included the late great Rhett Forester (RIOT) on vocals. This long-awaited resurrection took place in the wake of the 2020 pandemic when Bryan Jay began working with vocalist Reynolds on tracks for his Digital Assassin TV & film music library, capturing lighting in a bottle with tracks like “Speed Kills.” In addition to running the Digital Assassin music library and sporadic reunion shows with Keel, Jay also was instrumental – playing guitar and arranging music - in the 2001 VH1 film “Hysteria – The Def Leppard Story.” “This song ‘Speed Kills' is the perfect opening statement for the next chapter of this band,” Bryan claims. “We hope that rockers everywhere, Keel fans and all metalheads will keep up with us online and on social media as we put the pedal down. Speed kills – but life and rock & roll will keep us in the fast lane!” “Bryan Jay and I have always been the best of friends and worked together in Keel and on a number of other projects,” explains RFK Media founder Ron Keel. “I must admit, when he sent me ‘Speed Kills' I was both proud and jealous – songs like this put us both on the map, and RFK Media is extremely proud to be part of Dogbone's rebirth.”

Staci talks with the effervescent Ron Keel, frontman of KEEL—the hard rock band that formed in the 1980s and had hits with anthems like “The Right to Rock” (produced by Gene Simmons of KISS). Since then, Ron has fronted several bands and made his mark on country music. He goes into detail about his memoir, Even Keel; shares insight on recording at Sound Studio and Electric Lady; what it was like when “Parental Advisory” stickers were put on music for the first time; and there might even be a ghost story or two! Last, Staci shares an excerpt from the audiobook version of “Rock & Roll Nightmares: True Stories, Vol 1.”
