On this episode of “Bad Speakers TV,” Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the self-proclaimed prince of the South, Lil Scrappy. Lil Scrappy shared his life story, starting with his upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia, with his grandparents. Later, he moved in with his mother, unaware that he would stay with her for the rest of his adolescence. After relocating to a more urban area with his mother, Lil Scrappy faced challenges with kids who were more advanced than him. He also spoke about his mother's drug dealing, pimping, and hustling activities, including hiding money in various locations. Lil Scrappy's journey into hip-hop began when he started writing music at the age of 10. With his mother's financial support he engaged in activities like photo shoots and CD printing to promote his music. A pivotal moment came when Lil Scrappy met Lil Jon and signed with BME Records after his hit song “Head Bussa” became a local sensation. He also recounted how he secured a record deal for the Atlanta group Crime Mob by simply mentioning the group to the record label. Lil Scrappy discussed the success of his hit single “Knuck If You Buck” and how he felt compelled to jump on the record. He also spoke about the breakup of Crime Mob and the reasons behind it. Lil Scrappy shared his early hit “No Problems” and mentioned his first album as a joint effort with the group Trillville. He also talked about the tension he faced when he wanted to collaborate with hip-hop icon and mogul 50 Cent. Lil Scrappy described 50 Cent's personality and how he offered financial assistance during a difficult time when Lil Scrappy needed mouth reconstructive surgery. He also discussed his hit single “Money in the Bank” and how it led to a residuals deal with the WWE. The WWE named one of their pay-per-views after the song, and Scrappy continues to receive money from them to this day. He then talked about signing with Ludacris and how the deal didn't work out in the long run. He also discussed the hit single “Bang” by Young Jeezy featuring Scrappy and T.I. and how the song came about. There was also an unreleased video for the song. He spoke about Kanye West and his recent rent situation, explaining why he understands some of Kanye West's statements. He also discussed how he earns money from the hit single “Buy You a Drink” by T-Pain and Young Joc because they used the song's money in the bank. He also talked about dating Amanda Seales. He also discussed Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, explaining his decision to join the show and how the opportunity arose. He addressed the authenticity of the show, delving into the viral episode where he and Stevie J engaged in a fight. Additionally, he shared insights into his relationship with his baby mom, Erica, and his interactions with other cast members on the show. He talked about his podcast and his top five Atlanta rappers of all time, including who he currently listens to and his current interests in hip-hop. Finally, he discussed his brief stint as a wrestler and his desire to do it again, but this time with the WWE. https://www.youtube.com/c/BadSpeakersTV https://www.instagram.com/badspeakerspodcast https://www.tiktok.com/@badspeakerspodcast https://twitter.com/BadSpeakers https://www.facebook.com/badspeakerspodcast
This week hosts Tiffany Cross and Angela Rye are joined by special guest-host: Roland S Martin (of Roland Martin Unfiltered). Roland is one of the most vital sources of independent news for the Black community; his YouTube channel @rolandsmartin has 1.8 million subscribers and counting. Today’s show kicks off with Trump’s attacks on the Blacksonian (National Museum of African American History) and the massive protests against him over the weekend. A lot of folks are complaining about the Trump administration but we don’t see enough doing; Roland says younger generations are “withdrawing from the bank of justice” without making any deposits. How do we help Black folks battle the apathy and feel their agency? Tariffs–tariffs for everyone! Or not? Let’s be 100% clear y’all: tariffs are a tax that WE will pay. Our hosts explain how tariffs work, why they were put in place, and who benefits (SPOILER ALERT: it’s not us). Male enrollment at HBCUs is hitting historical lows, mirroring attendance at colleges nationwide. This represents a failure to engage men in the educational process that starts well before college. The hosts discuss causes, impacts, and potential solutions. Host Andrew Gillum is out this week. He’s on a field trip with the kids to NASA. Have fun Andrew! And of course we’ll hear from you! I'm here to remind you that you are going to have to knuck and buck at your dreams. Knuck and buck at the haters. Knuck and buck at the naysayers. Knuck and buck at anything that doesn't serve in the betterment of you. What do I mean by that? Well, let's be honest. Life isn't a cakewalk, but it wasn't supposed to be.No one said it was going to be easy, but it was guaranteed that it would be worth it. Now, oftentimes you have obstacles or trials and tribulations that come our way and we isolate ourselves. We hide in the corner or even sometimes we run away. Well, it's time to change the narrative. It's time to show up to show out. And it requires you to get knuck if you want to get buck. It reminds me of this track from way back, way back when. It's from Crime Mob featuring in Lil Scrappy entitled, "Knuck If You Buck" and in it the rapper Princess says, "Yeah, we knucking and bucking and ready to fight. Bet you I'ma throw them thangs, so haters best to think twice." Is you ready? Remember, it's about the size of the fight in the dog and not the size of the dog in the fight. How bad do you want it? What are you to do if that hater is you? Hmm? You're going to have to stand up. Stand up so that you can show out because you know your truth and you know what it is you want. And you know what you don't want, because you are not happy. So get after it. Go after it and get knuck so you can get buck. All right. That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow us on all social media @VitaminDDawnDai and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset." See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Y'all, when I tell y'all these relationship/life/friendship scenario battles was funny asf, intense asf, and JUST A GREAT ASS TIME! Shout out to everyone who hopped on the mics and talked they shit lol Y'all really brought my vision to life ! And Special thanks to @nene2shiesty for being my Verdict/Final Decision maker. Y'all, some real ass convos came out on this recording! And A FEW SECRETS! I ain't gon @ nobody but IF YA LISTEN, YOU KNOW! Lmao but it was all fun ! NOTHING TOO DEEP I HOPE !
Life can either happen to you or you're going to have to happen to life. And I don't know about you, but I'm going to choose the latter. Because I believe that we are in control of our lives. We can manifest things. Now, I do believe there are some things that we cannot control. Those things are simply out of our control. And it reminds me of this quote. Now, I don't know if I made this up, but it came to me. "While we cannot determine the weather, we can dictate how we weather the storm." Catch it. So I'm thinking to myself, we have so many adversities that come our way, right? It's almost as if we're like in a fight. And half the time we don't go after things because we are afraid of confrontation. I got another memo for you. You remember that track way back in the day and I'm saying way back because shoot to some, it is. "Knuck If You Buck" with Crime Mob featuring Lil' Scrappy. I feel like in life sometimes you're going to have to "knuck" when things get a little "buck" you feel me? And in it Princess says, "Yeah we knuckin' and buckin' and ready to fight. Bet you I'm going to throw them things so the haters better think twice." I messed that all up. But you know what I'm saying? The point is is that life is going to throw you blows and you can't crouch down and not participate in the fight. You got to fight for what you want. And half the time, that's a spiritual warfare. Half the time that's you mentally staying in the game. So stay in the game and get "knuck if you buck." All right. That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow us on all social media @VitaminDDawnDai and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset."See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome Back to Blue Moon Vibes! The podcast that makes you laugh a lil' bit cry a lil' bit, and think a lil' bit! My goal is to be the one that gives you more than you asked! I hope you can find value in these topics, and they become something that you talk amongst your friends and family about! Don't shy away from challenging issues because that is where growth happens! The change you want to see is the change you must create! We are worthy, we are tenacious, we are strong, and we are purposeful! The only way to erase the divide is to unite as a nation and treat each other as people, with respect and courtesy! Regrets It's Series 15, Episode 4 Happy Saturday, beautiful people; we are almost in a new month, and we are finishing up season 15! Can yall believe it's Gonna Be May... of 2022 already? I swear it seems like just yesterday amazon was out f essentials because of Covid! Man, time moves fast! We begin today's show with the conclusion of our biggest regrets. As you will hear in the beginning, my one regret still bothers me, and it rears its head every now and then. I want to let you all know that whatever that thing is that keeps nagging at you, do it! Don't let people talk you out of your passions. If your heart is set for it, go after it; sometimes, we value the opinions of those we love so much and many times over our own that we regret the one thing we allowed them to talk us out of. From there, we go into the best trip of your life and what it was? Let us know in the comments. What has been the best trip of your life up to this point? And if you haven't had one, where do you dream of going? During our discussion, you will hear my excitement over Lady Dee's answer and why. Also, you will hear Pbid's story and how we will top his! We then talk about the lack of common sense in society. What makes us d the things we do? Knowing they can possibly harm us? Is it the adrenaline, or is it the social media clout? And then we discuss why society is so judgemental? Is it the projecting of our thoughts and insecurities onto others? What do you all think? Let us know! Is it true that regardless of what happens or what we do, there will always be a level of judgment from others? Why? /we end it with Lady Dee's question of the day!
