Rotterdam based underground dance music DJ. Recording music since 2012 under alias Lenson, responsible for Rotterdam Electronix. Born and raised on the outskirts of Rotterdam, Lenson (real name: Len Ander Som) is one of the up and coming underground Techno artists hailing from Europe biggest harbour city. Inspired by his brothers cassette collection, Lenson started his musical exploration at an early age. His first outing through his and Stranger's Paling Trax label that surfaced in 2015 with raw overdrived tools for dark basements. With his unique, acidic and uncompromising sound he hold down several intense club nights throughout the country. With playing a broad mixture of Chicago House and Detroit Techno, lots of raw acid 90's cuts, adding EBM, Wave, Electro and Industrial excursions in his musical vision he definitely doesn't have a linear perspective in his DJ sets. Nowadays he's a staff member at Clone Records where he also started his new label project Rotterdam Electronix and more recent the Fusion of Thought imprint to release pure dancefloor Techno cuts, with a wide array of new artists. Best-selling author David Poyer writes gripping undersea thrillers in the tradition of Clive Cussler and John D. MacDonald. Salvage diver and ex-con Tiller Galloway runs from a vengeful past straight into the murky, hazardous depths of the Gulf of Mexico. The claustrophobia and fear of suffocation 200 fathoms below the surface will leave you breathless. Has Tiller finally breathed his last? LOUISIANA BLUE A Tiller Galloway Underwater Adventure Written by David Poyer Narrated by Edison McDaniels 5.0 out of 5 stars Makes you appreciate each breath Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2018 Mr. Poyer, was an officer and gentleman. I would not expect him to know the gritty and criminal aspects he so fluently envisions in the travails of Tiller Galloway. There is no one better in weaving claustrophobia and the fear of suffocation into his exciting, believable, stories. Looking forward to the next Lenson novel. 4.0 out of 5 stars I just love Poyer's books. Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2013 I became a fan of Poyer's work reading the Dan Lenson series. In my opinion, the Tiller Galloways aren't quite as good, but that is probably a reflection of my greater interest in military books than it is a failing on the part of the author. The Tiller Galloway series has the intense grittiness, descriptive detail, well developed action, and unexpected twists that are the hallmarks of David Poyer's work. He is one of the best out there, and this series is well worth your time. 5.0 out of 5 stars This author deserves to be read widely Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 27, 2010 Poyer is among the best war/action authors I have ever read, and I've read most of the best I think. His research, technical expertise, and insider knowledge are truly outstanding. His characters are well formed and interesting, not simply archetypal tough guys. The narrative is always compelling with superb storylines, many great little side stories, and rounded incedental minor characters. Deserves to be much more widely read in the UK. If you enjoy accurate, credible war stories, you will love his Dan Lenson, Tiller Galloway, and American Civil War series. Over the past decade I have heard people talk about their rising stress levels. More information, more responsibility and the same 24 hours a day to get it all in and done, respectively. What I don't see many people doing is distinguishing the unhealthy stress from the healthy stress. Much of what positively motivates us is stress not its absence. As Barry Lenson writes in his book, Good Stress, Bad Stress [ http://goo.gl/3zDTK0 ], there are two types of psychological stressors. He characterizes them as positive or negative using some practical criteria so I thought I'd share them.Bad Stress, as Lenson calls it, can be identified by the following traits:It stifles your creativityIt distances you from dealing with conflict in a healthy mannerIt closes doors, metaphoricallyIt saps you of emotional energyIt makes sleeping feel less restfulOn the other side is what Lenson calls Good Stress, and can be seen as:Opening communication lines and deepening relationshipsIncreasing your capacity for compassionConverting conflicts to solutionsMotivating you to actionRefueling your mental, emotional energy storesThink about the positive, productive sources of good stress in your life. How do you gravitate good (and bad) stress toward you in your work and life? How can you work to bring more good stress into your productivity at the most opportune times? How can you repel more bad stress?Remember, too much of any good thing is not likely. Too much any kind of stress can be limiting so don't bite off more than you can chew.In future episodes I look forward to covering how to further engage good stress in your productivity.
