PAUSE… Stay here with your breath, And let each exhale, Warm you, And relax you further. LONG PAUSE… Now bring your attention to the bottoms of your feet. Feel them tingle gently, And soften. Your toes, The tops of your feet, And your ankles. Imagine them melting into your bed, As you breathe. LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth travel up your legs. Relaxing your knees, Thighs, And hips. Softening your body, And calming you. LONG PAUSE… Feel the gentle tingling on the bottom of your back. And as your breathing slows even more, Feel your lower back soften, Then your middle back, Your upper back, And your shoulders. Feel your entire back melt into your bed. PAUSE… Perhaps your leaf is young and tender, Green and vibrant, silky to the touch. Or maybe you're seeing a vivid fall leaf, A flash of dazzling color. PAUSE… Think about where your leaf has been, The sights it may have seen. Imagine the view of life from the air, The feel of gliding on the wind. PAUSE… Your leaf may be one of many, Part of a soaring team. Or it may be drifting on its own, Happy to follow the breeze's whim. PAUSE… Your leaf is like no other, Even though it resembles the rest. If you look closely at its edges and arcs, You see its special quirks. Use your breath to sink deeper into peace, to feel as free as that leaf. Imagine yourself with no restrictions or worries, the breeze your only guide. LONG PAUSE… Now that you have a leaf in mind, Let your thoughts turn to its tree. Even when floating on the wind, It's tied to where it began. PAUSE… Whether that tree is near or far, The connection always remains. The leaf is part of a family, A history rising up from a common seed. PAUSE… From small beginnings, a vast tree grows, Adding branches throughout the years. The leaf is proof of the tree's dedication, Its determination to survive. PAUSE… No matter which branch it stems from, The leaf is part of the whole. It may not be sure where it's heading, But it always knows where it belongs. PAUSE… Think about how you're like that leaf, Singular and yet one of many. A beautiful, strong free spirit, Carrying the potential of countless others. PAUSE… Or perhaps you're still attached to your tree, Fluttering softly on your branch. Providing shade and oxygen, To take care of all those below. PAUSE… It's easy to feel like leaves are too small, To do much on their own, But when energies align for the greater good, Each piece of the whole has meaning. PAUSE… So whether you're off making your own way, Or you're sticking closer to the tree, You'll always be part of where you started, Always tied to your true home. As you inhale, try to feel your connections, the ties that make you who you are. As you exhale, think of what your spirit adds, how your strength supports those bonds. PAUSE… Take a big, deep breath in now, Feeling the expansion of your chest and belly, And watching as the blue glow grows too. PAUSE… Hold the air in for just a moment… And then exhale, Releasing it all out, And feeling your body contract. PAUSE… Now ease into a gentle rhythm of breathing again, Letting the waves of your breath calm you, Relax you, Comfort you. LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of the blue light, Above your chest. And as you breathe, Feel it spread out into your right arm, All the way to your hand and fingers. Softening you. PAUSE… And then feel the warm blue glow, Spread down into your left arm, All the way down to your hand, And into your fingers. Relaxing you. LONG PAUSE… Imagine the blue light traveling slowly down your back, From the top of your neck, Down, Down, Down, Covering and softening your lower back. LONG PAUSE… The gentle blue glow now hovers over your stomach, Falls down your hips, Down your left leg, And then your right. Warming you, Calming you. LONG PAUSE… One with the rhythm of your breath, The blue light ascends up through your chest, Rising up your neck, Softening your face, And covering the crown of your head. PAUSE… Feel it gently cover and soften your forehead, Your eyes, Your cheeks, And your lips. Let your jaw release, And drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth. Feel your entire face soften and relax. PAUSE… Imagine the indigo light falling gently, Down your neck, Covering your shoulders, And traveling down your right arm, And your left arm. PAUSE… Imagine the indigo light, Pulling out the tension, Releasing the stress, And relaxing you deep, Deep, Into the night. LONG PAUSE… The soft glow of the indigo light, Slowly moves down your body, Blanketing your stomach, And your hips. You feel it streaming down your back, From the top of your neck, Down, down, down, To the bottom of your spine. And also what can keep you from living as fully as you want. PAUSE… So this practice is an opportunity for you to tune into your thoughts. So you can practice separating yourself from them, Letting them go, Or choosing them, And understanding the role they play in your life. So settle into comfort, And relax into your body. PAUSE… Find your breath, And invite yourself to sink into its rhythm. Maybe even silently saying, Breathe in as you breathe in. And breathe out as you breathe out. LONG PAUSE… Now just be here, Open, And calm. Noticing when thoughts arise. PAUSE… Allow yourself to observe each thought, Choosing to let it float on by, Like a cloud in the sky. Or stay here with you, In the imaginary basket beside you. PAUSE… See if you can practice this noticing, This choosing, Without judging the thoughts, Or connecting emotions to them. PAUSE… Just…observing, And tuning in, For the next little bit. LONG PAUSE (3 MINS)... Your thoughts are incredibly powerful tools for you to create the life you want. These are the thoughts to keep in your basket. But your thoughts are not you. LONG PAUSE… As you continue to walk deeper into the forest, You feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. Your mind is free from thoughts and worries, And your body is relaxed and calm. Softening and opening. PAUSE… You come across a beautiful clearing, With a lush green meadow surrounded by tall trees. You take a moment to sit down, And take in the beauty and peace around you. LONG PAUSE… In this clearing, you glimpse an inviting hammock. You slowly crawl into the hammock, As it begins to gently sway back and forth. Back and forth, Opening and softening you, Lulling you into a deeper state of relaxation. PAUSE… You feel the softness of the hammock beneath you, And the warmth of the sun on your skin. Breathe… And feel the gentle movements of the hammock, Ease your body, And clear your mind. LONG PAUSE… As you relax in the hammock, Imagine that you can feel every muscle in your body, Softening into your dreams, And releasing every last grain of tension within you. PAUSE… Your neck and shoulders relax, Your arms and legs become heavy, And your mind becomes peaceful and still. LONG PAUSE… Now, imagine that with each breath, You are inhaling peace and calm. Fear of rejection. Fear of judgements. Fear for our safety. These fears are completely normal to experience. And, it's only by identifying those fears, sitting with them, and looking them in the eyes, that we can begin infusing ourselves with the bravery it takes to transcend it. So let's begin by closing your eyes, And taking a deep, cleansing breath in, Filling your entire body with air. And then exhaling, Releasing any tension or pressure, As you settle further into your position. Safe within this space here. Relax, And breathe. PAUSE… Imagine yourself in a situation that feels vulnerable. Perhaps you're sharing something about your past with a friend. PAUSE… Now see what comes up. What fears arise in you? PAUSE.... Just be here with them, Any of the fears that show up, And look at them in your imagination. Really look at them. Without judgement. LONG PAUSE… As more bubbles appear, Perhaps filled with worries, Fears, Or unknowns, Just watch them rise up, And slowly drift away, Dancing on the breeze, And disappearing into the night. LONG PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine yourself, Surrounded by the soothing sounds of the forest. The crickets and the wind play sleep sounds in your ears, Lulling you into calm. PAUSE… The trees are surrounding you, Protecting you, And breathing life into your body. The soft forest floor tenderly holds you, And invites you to rest. PAUSE… This is your place of serenity, Your place of peace. Breathe in the air, And feel it warm you, And bring you home. LONG PAUSE… The bubbles may still arise, But they easily float off into the night. And each time you see one go by, You nod in its direction, Acknowledging its existence, And then gratefully say goodbye as its journeys into the darkness. Inhale as you imagine your spirit rising, floating in a sky full of potential. Exhale and picture yourself changing, feel your heart and mind expand. LONG PAUSE… Now that you're in touch with what moves you, With the bliss that makes life worthwhile, Use that happiness as a road map, As a way to light up the mundane. PAUSE… We can enjoy the things we must do, Nearly as much as doing what we choose, If we let ourselves glimpse the sacred in both, And remember that each one feeds the other. Releasing their hold on you, And leaving you free. PAUSE… Be here with the water, One with its rhythms and coolness, One with the gentle flow. PAUSE… Hold the air in for just a moment… And then exhale, Releasing it all out, And feeling your body contract. PAUSE… Now ease into a gentle rhythm of breathing again, Letting the waves of your breath calm you, Relax you, Comfort you. LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of the blue light, Above your chest. And as you breathe, Feel it spread out into your right arm, All the way to your hand and fingers. Softening you. PAUSE… And then feel the warm blue glow, Spread down into your left arm, All the way down to your hand, And into your fingers. Relaxing you. LONG PAUSE… Imagine the blue light traveling slowly down your back, From the top of your neck, Down, Down, Down, Covering and softening your lower back. LONG PAUSE… The gentle blue glow now hovers over your stomach, Falls down your hips, Down your left leg, And then your right. Warming you, Calming you. LONG PAUSE… One with the rhythm of your breath, The blue light ascends up through your chest, Rising up your neck, Softening your face, And covering the crown of your head. Wanting to plan out your day, Wanting to organize, Wanting to worry. PAUSE… As you feel them arise, Imagine each of them becoming a leaf, Hugging the air as they fall gently into the river. PAUSE… And then observe those leaves - your thoughts - Being carried down the river, One by one, As you let them go, As you remain on the bank of the river. Calm, Peaceful. Free. PAUSE… Let them go, Each of those leaves of thoughts. Let them fall into the river, And float downstream, Away from you, As you remain here, Whole. Still. PAUSE… And sharing that truth with the universe, Stating your wishes outright, Is an equally important step, One that takes them out into the light. PAUSE… So turn your mind into a canvas, And draw whatever you see. Vivid pictures of your ideal life, Loving portraits of what you need. PAUSE… Imagine the loving white light spreading out into the open lands, Finding each one, And swirling its gentle warm energy around it. Soothing the pain, Relieving the suffering. Dissolving it all with every breath. PAUSE… You needn't worry in this meadow, There's nothing here to fear. In fact, this place is just for you, A haven tucked away from busy life. PAUSE… Let the buoyancy of this lovely place, Fill your heart with calm. Set your dreams and wishes free, Watch them float and dance on the wind. Inhale as you picture your fondest wish, taking shape before your eyes. Exhale and see it coming true, feel the lift it gives your heart. LONG PAUSE… This special escape will always be yours, Ready and waiting when you close your eyes. As simple as conjuring the lush green grass, And giving your spirit wings. Feel your entire face soften and relax. PAUSE… Imagine the indigo light falling gently, Down your neck, Covering your shoulders, And traveling down your right arm, And your left arm. PAUSE… Imagine the indigo light, Pulling out the tension, Releasing the stress, And relaxing you deep, Deep, Into the night. LONG PAUSE… The soft glow of the indigo light, Slowly moves down your body, Blanketing your stomach, And your hips. You feel it streaming down your back, From the top of your neck, Down, down, down, To the bottom of your spine. Slowly relaxing you, As you let go, Release, And allow your body to sink into the night. LONG PAUSE… The warm glow of the indigo light, Descends down the expanse of your right leg, Then your left leg, Relaxing the thighs, Your knees, Your ankles, And your feet. PAUSE… It was a magical experience, And I hope to give you a bit of that magic during this meditation. So allow yourself to settle, Inviting your body to lie down comfortably. PAUSE… Now take a moment to stretch your arms as far above your head as possible, And then stretch your legs in the opposite direction, Elongating your spine, Stretching your body. PAUSE… Now as you exhale, Release your arms and legs, And relax yourself into comfort. PAUSE… Feel what's beneath you, The floor, Or your bed, Or the couch, And just become aware of the weight of your body on top of it. PAUSE… Now breathe in deeply, Expanding your belly as far as you can, Holding it for a moment, And then exhaling, Contracting the belly, And letting all that air go. PAUSE… Relax even deeper, Melting just a bit more with every breath out. LONG PAUSE… Savasana, or corpse pose, Gives us a chance to practice stillness. To practice the art of being, And not doing. To practice clearing our minds, And softening our bodies. PAUSE… There is nowhere for you to be, Nothing for you to do. So surrender yourself to the pose, Breathing yourself deeper, And deeper into this moment. LONG PAUSE… Allow your feet to part, Your legs to soften, And relax. Open your hips, And soften your belly. PAUSE… Feel a warming energy travel slowly up your spine, Beginning at the bottom of your back, And rising, Rising, Breath by breath, Melting you, One vertebrae at a time. All the way up to the top of your neck. Breathe… PAUSE… Let your heart open, Your arms get heavy, And your neck and face, Soften and relax. PAUSE… Stillness is here within you, Behind the movement of thoughts, Past the highways of fear. Deep within the center of you. Right here. Always. LONG PAUSE… Now slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes, And when you're ready, Bring yourself to a sitting position. So go ahead and settle into a comfortable sitting position. And allow yourself to simply be still for a few moments. PAUSE... Let your attention shift from all the outside noise in your head, To the calm inside your breath. PAUSE… Feel your body relaxing further with every breath, Slowing you down, And anchoring you here. LONG PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your arms, And slowly extend and stretch them in any direction that feels comfortable for you. Feeling your muscles expand. Holding it for just a moment. And then release the stretch, Allowing your arms to settle deeper into comfort. PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your neck, And slowly drop your head to one side, Feeling the stretch on the side of your neck as you do. Breathe into the stretch, staying with the pull of the muscles, And release. PAUSE... Drop your head to the other side, feeling the stretch, Holding it there for a moment. And then release, Bringing your head and your neck back into a comfortable position. PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your face, Open your mouth wide, Stretching out the muscles in your cheeks, Mouth, And forehead. Opening and closing your mouth, Slowly releasing any tension in your muscles. PAUSE... Now from your seated position, Or standing if you like, Reach your hands up above your head and stretch your legs out as far as you can, Pointing your toes and opening your fingers. Imagining your body being pulled from the top and bottom as your body expands. PAUSE… Feel the stretch align your spine, And release any pieces of stress or tension stored in your body. PAUSE… And then release, Feeling the rush of calmness in your body. PAUSE… Breathe and release. Breathe and relax. PAUSE… Namaste, Beautiful

You may have been taught to keep yourself small and quiet, to not love too much, to play life safe, to value stability. You may have past experiences when your self-expression resulted in pain for you or others. Ultimately though, it's all fear, and limiting beliefs. Fear of others' reactions. Fear of loss. Fear of being judged. Fear of our greatness. Limiting beliefs that tell us that we shouldn't, couldn't or can't. So this morning's meditation will help you release all of those limitations keeping you from being fully expressed. So relax, Lowering your shoulders, Relaxing your cheeks, And releasing your body into comfort. PAUSE… What fears might exist within you about being fully expressed? LONG PAUSE… What limiting beliefs might you have about your self-expression? LONG PAUSE... Feel deeply into your body, And be here with your soul. Allow yourself to simply observe the answers that arise, With love and compassion. LONG PAUSE… Now become aware of your breathing. And on every breath out, See if you can imagine all those fears, And all those limiting beliefs, Exiting your body through your outbreath. PAUSE… Breath in and locate those limits, Breathe out and free yourself from them, Watching them disappear into the air around you. LONG PAUSE... Continue breathing here for a bit, Consciously releasing all those limiting beliefs, All those fears that are blocking your self-expression. Until everything has dissolved. PAUSE… The clouds are just as striking, As every color in this tableau. They move and shift as if tied to your mind, Offering a delightful parade. Watch the clouds and inhale slowly, find joy in their magical dance. Rise up to greet them as you exhale deeply, find peace in their gentle embrace. LONG PAUSE… Now float back down to the grassy earth, Let the scents waiting below envelop you. Wildflowers and soil and sun-soaked leaves, Calm you with their rich aromas. PAUSE… Turn your ear to the sounds all around you, Trilling birds, buzzing bees, rustling leaves. Nature's orchestra in all its glory, Soothing you to sleep with its song. PAUSE… Spread your hands flat against the grass, Feel the silky blades on your skin. The earth has made a nest for you, A safe place to land and rest. PAUSE… You needn't worry in this meadow, There's nothing here to fear. In fact, this place is just for you, A haven tucked away from busy life. PAUSE… Let the buoyancy of this lovely place, Fill your heart with calm. Set your dreams and wishes free, Watch them float and dance on the wind. Inhale as you picture your fondest wish, taking shape before your eyes. Exhale and see it coming true, feel the lift it gives your heart. LONG PAUSE… This special escape will always be yours, Ready and waiting when you close your eyes. As simple as conjuring the lush green grass, And giving your spirit wings. PAUSE… When days are long and tough to take, It's there to soothe your troubled soul. And when you're exhausted and overwhelmed, It stands ready to restore your strength. PAUSE… Magic fills this secluded spot, Enchantment of the very best kind. Made of you, by you, and for you, It blossoms anywhere you choose. And knowing and protecting your boundaries is a core part of loving yourself. In doing so, we make more room for what feels good. And proactively say no to what feels bad. Boundaries change and evolve as we change and evolve. So this morning's meditation will give you the space to explore your boundaries so you can gain clarity on what they are and any ways you can protect them. So close your eyes if they're not already, And take a deep breath in as we set an intention for today. May I gain clarity on the boundaries I need to feel more joy in my life, And release any judgements that may arise. And may I be bold as I claim them. PAUSE… Lower your hands, And settle deeper into your position, Letting the warmth of your calming breath pull you in deeper, Its rhythm soothing you into a space of calm. Be here. Breathing in, And breathing out. Letting any thoughts float away, As you sit in the silence. PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about a recent time where you felt anger, or stress, or frustration. Let yourself see those moments without connecting to the emotions they brought up. PAUSE… Take a look at them. And ask yourself this question, Was there a boundary I could have set that would have prevented these emotions? Perhaps you could have said no. Perhaps you could have been more diligent about your schedule or daily habits. Maybe you could have accepted help. Give yourself a moment to simply sit with any of the answers that come up for you, Careful to let go of any self-judgements that may come up. LONG PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, inviting in courage and strength and an enormous amount of self-love, And as you breathe out, relax, And feel yourself aligned. Clear. Whole. PAUSE... Today's practice is one you can come back to any time anger, stress or frustration alert you that a boundary might be off.
