LIVE from BroadwayCon 2020, I am recording a very special episode of Baring It All with Call Me Adam, on the Broadway Podcast Network, with Tony Award Winner and Emmy Nominee Cady Huffman. We discuss her award winning turn in Mel Brooks' The Producers as well as play a game entitled "Cady Did," inspired by her new digital TV series of the same name. Cady is best known for winning the 2001 Tony Award for Best Performance by a "Featured Actress in a Musical" for playing Ulla in Mel Brooks' The Producers, which starred Matthew Broderick & Nathan Lane. Cady also received a 2019 Emmy Nomination for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Digital Drama Series" for her portrayal of Lisa in Amazon Prime's After Forever. She just launched her own digital TV series call "Cady Did," which is available on YouTube. More on Cady: Cady has been seen on Hulu’s Difficult People, Netflix’s Master of None and on the web series After Forever (for which she received a 2019 Emmy Nomination) and He's With Me, for which she won the 2016 Indie Series Award for Best Guest Appearance in a Comedy. Cady recently returned to the Broadway stage in a limited engagement as “Mama Morton” in the Broadway production of Chicago. Previous Broadway credits include the Tony Award winning play The Nance opposite Nathan Lane, for which she received an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination, but she is best known for her Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award winning performance as "Ulla" in The Producers on Broadway opposite Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. This led to her unforgettable recurring role on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm where she almost became Larry David's 10th anniversary present. This success also brought her to the Food Network's kitchen stadium where she judged for 10 consecutive seasons on Iron Chef America. Cady's other Broadway credits are her Tony-nominated performance as Ziegfeld’s Favorite in The Will Rogers Follies, the original production of La Cage Aux Folles, Steel Pier, Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, and Bob Fosse’s last original musical Big Deal. She has had several guest starring appearances on television, including recurring roles on The Good Wife and Blue Bloods, Madam Secretary, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: CI, Law & Order: Trial By Jury, Frasier and Mad About You. Cady’s big screen appearances include The Company Men opposite Ben Affleck and Chris Cooper, John Turturro’s star studded musical film Romance & Cigarettes, Hero (with Dustin Hoffman, Geena Davis and Andy Garcia), The Nanny Diaries opposite Scarlett Johansson and the wonderful Christmas movie Love The Coopers. She also has starring roles in the indy films Dare, $20 Drinks, Billy's Dad Is A Fudgepacker, Space Marines and Throw the Hoolihan. We continue the Hollywood tradition of celebrating Christmas on early November weekends by taking a trip back to November 13, 2015 when LOVE THE COOPERS and JAMES WHITE hit the silver screens with decidedly different examinations of families in crisis. In the former, the top new box office opener stars Diane Keaton and John Goodman as parents of a large star-studded family on the verge of their last Christmas together due to an impending divorce; and in the latter Christopher Abbott must come to terms with the fact that his mother played by Cynthia Nixon is dying. As one SOBER CINEMA critic on this very episode puts it: "it felt like I was dying and I wish I was." Writer-producer Steven Rogers was born in Seattle but because his father produced regional theatre for a living, grew up all across America wherever his family had a season. Forgoing college, he moved to N.Y.C. at 17 and studied acting with Sandford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre where he first met and befriended I, TONYA’s LaVona, Allison Janney. He toured in Larry Shue’s play The Foreigner winning a critics prize in Los Angeles and moved to Hollywood in order to become famous. He didn’t. Instead, he wrote his first screenplay, KATE AND LEOPOLD, in order to be in it. He wasn’t. In very quick succession he wrote, HOPE FLOATS, Anne Tyler’s EARTHLY POSSESSIONS and STEPMOM. He then decided to focus on writing and just act on the page. Other writing credits includes P.S. I LOVE YOU, LOVE THE COOPERS, which he also executive produced, and his latest, I, TONYA which made the 2016 Blacklist and won the 2016 Hit List. He also produced I, TONYA with Bryan Unkeless, Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerly. I, TONYA is currently in theaters and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Comedy. He is currently producing his script, FLORA PLUM and his script THE DRIVING LESSON with Octavia Spencer attached to star and produce.

We may be a bunch of dummies, but we're not that dumb. I mean... We rented, watched, and did an episode about it, but we're not thaaaat dumb. Happy belated-Valentine's Day and also Leap Day, everyone! Questions/Comments?Email us at XmasCreeps@gmail.comTweet us @ChristmasCreepsVisit us on the web at ChristmasCreeps.com! And then there were two… Kevin is still “sick” and Blake had engagement photo retakes. Which leaves Tom and Joe to dissect 'Love The Coopers.' This week, on Episode of 191 of See You Next Wednesday we're talking about the film Spotlight, which Greg and Casey have investigated and are back to tell us all whether or not this buzzed about film that set TIFF audiences aflutter with hype is as good as they say. Then, Dan loves watching Christmas movies in early- to mid-November about as much as he loves Love The Coopers. How can a movie with this stacked a cast be anything other than a new yuletide hit? Finally, everyone susses through their opinions on Speedy Ortiz's 2015 LP Foil Deer before rolling for movies next week. But before any of that, we're talking about whether or not Val Kilmer should return to Top Gun (and whether or not we even need a new Top Gun,) Netflix's w/Bob and David, Paddington, Me, Earl & The Dying Girl, The Comeback Kid, and much... After an invasion of strep throat, Kristen and Rafer are back! In this week's Movie Date podcast, they review Love the Coopers, 33, By The Sea, and Spotlight. At least one is an Oscar contender, but will any of them compare to what Kristen's been watching on her sick couch (specifically, the Mistle-Tones)? They also share some confessions. Some very embarrassing confessions. And, as always, there's trivia!

Dave has a gift for Evan and Kris that’s really more of a present for himself, although it does offer a great set up for this episode of 80s Piece…er…Spoilerpiece Theatre. First, Evan shares his thoughts about the dog shit holiday film LOVE THE COOPERS, which features Steve Martin as a canine narrator. Next up is Dave, to talk about BROOKLYN, a movie that’s beautifully acted and looks wonderful, but has several Irish names he can’t pronounce. However the episode’s main event is that all three of the guys have seen both COBRA and BEVERLY HILLS COP, two pictures that were made under very similar circumstances. In discussing COBRA Kris observes Marion Cobretti’s pornographic glee in dispatching bad guys, Dave sees how it rips off DIRTY HARRY, and Evan notices its odd product placement. They can all agree that BEVERLY HILLS COP knows exactly what kind of movie it is, has amazing improvisation, and features Eddie Murphy walking around, fuckin’ owning every place he goes.

The 33 Based on the real-life event, when a gold and copper mine collapses, it traps 33 miners underground for 69 days.
