Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth interview with Tony Moore, Author of “One of a Kind: Making Things Happen”   About Harvey's guest: Today's special guest, Tony Moore, is a self-made man, whose remarkable journey from his humble beginnings and turbulent childhood in England, to a highly successful international business career, is the subject of his inspiring new book, entitled, “One of a Kind: Making Things Happen.”  Our guest never knew his father, and lost his mother at the age of 5, having met her only 3 times in his life.  At the age of 8, he was ripped away from the only loving caregiver he'd ever had, his beloved foster mother whom he called “Auntie”.  He was forced to live with his abusive step-father, only to be sent to an orphanage the next year.  When he was finally placed in a loving home, his adoptive parents passed away, leaving him orphaned for a second time.   He ended up in a boarding school, and then completed a 5-year engineering apprenticeship, ultimately leading to a hugely successful career at Alfa Laval and Tetra Pak, as head of global customer service operations.  His work took him all over the world.  His experience in business and in life, is diverse and impressive.  He was a professional singer.  He owned and operated a wine bar in West London.  He ran a perfume company, then developed a computer program that was used in the field of optometry, and then he ran the biggest glove production company in America, and was instrumental in improving uniform apparel and gloves for the US military.   And now, he's a co-founder of Briton Publishing, and a successful author of numerous books including “Sabato: The Untold Story”, co-authored with Antonio Sabato Jr., and “Liberty vs Tyranny”, co-authored with retired Colonel Andrew P. O'Meara Jr., and “He's a Funny Cat, Ms. High:  My 32 Years Singing with James Brown”, co-authored with Martha High. For more interviews and podcasts go to: https://www.harveybrownstoneinterviews.com/ https://oneofakindbook.com/https://www.facebook.com/OneOfAKindMakingItHappenhttps://tonymoore7777.wordpress.com/https://www.facebook.com/tony.moore.3572 # tonymoore  #Y&R  #harveybrownstoneinterviews

Sister Martha High "The Goddess of Soul" talks with Rick about her 32 years as both a lead and backup singer with the iconic GODFATHER OF SOUL, the legendary JAMES BROWN, and what a story it is too! Occasionally in life, just like a musical performance, the sum total of what is delivered to the audience is rarely, but sometimes, greater than its individual parts. This interview is presented to our worldwide audience as one such exception. It clearly shows the magic, in a practically ethereal fashion, that this woman is capable of delivering to her millions of fans worldwide who have watched her perform and develop over her lifetime with what is, unquestionably, one of the greatest entertainers in the whole world. Will Sister Martha High (as her employer always called her) be returning to the Rick Flynn podcast? For the answer to that we must go directly to the source...Rick Flynn, himself. "I would like to tell you all about whether or not we have decided to have Sister Martha back on our show as a guest. Sister Martha High is only invited back to this show on the days of the week that end in the letter "Y." Other than that, we are going to let her go on her way. On a compris ma sincérité… Viva Flavia ! FSQ selections this week tell a story through song. Martha High's "(Ready to) Face My Future" isn't some old soul stomper, it's a tune from one of 2020's brightest new soul releases. Chuck makes Martha High's inspirational anthem his theme song for this January 29th program. Chuck's "Future" includes "Feeling Free" by Leisure, and putting on Alaskalaska's "Happyface". Chuck exclaims "I'm Doing Fine" via blues man Albert King. But how just how long can he "Hold On" like Little Dragon's new tune of the same name opines. The second hour features the rarest of cuts in special musical tributes to Funkadelic founder Billy Bass Nelson and Japanese jazz fusion sensei Masayoshi Takanaka. The New Music Ferry transports sonic cargo from all over the world including Latino disco from Colombia via Juan Paul Vega and Esteman's "Eso Que Me Das".Catch FSQ with Chuck Da Fonk every Wednesday from 12 Noon - 2 PM EST / 5 - 7 PM GMT.For a complete track listing, visit: https://thefaceradio.comFacebook: FSQInstagram: @fsqofficialSoundcloud: FSQOfficialTwitter: @fsqofficial Support The Face Radio with Patreon See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Ha tocado con Irma Thomas, Martha High o The New Master Sounds.
