Well, that was fun. Duke kicked off the season with a 36 point beatdown of the Maine Black Bears, a resilient and spunky team that was no match for the overwhelming talent and depth that Duke could put on the floor. The Duke Basketball Roundup has a breakdown of everything the happened in this contest, with special focus on the playmaking and all around excellence of freshman stars Kon Knueppel and Cooper Flagg. After telling you all about the good and bad from this game, co-hosts Jason Evans and Donald Wine also get into the action across the rest of college basketball on Monday including how every ACC team performed and a look at former Dukies who are now playing all over the country after entering the transfer portal. Oh, and the guys also reveal the winner of their headline contest. With over 100 entries it was not easy to pick which Duke fan would get to take home a Homefield Apparel Duke pullover jacket. The Seattle Seahawks entered this Monday Night matchup against the Detroit Lions severely undermanned on the defensive side of the ball, down 5/7th of their Front Seven. The Lions went after this weakness and were just about unstoppable, doing whatever they wanted, run or pass. Geno Smith and the offense did all they could to keep the team in the game, there just weren't enough stops. The plaintiff says the defendant's dog got out of his electric fence and killed her dog. She claims the defendant told her he'd pay for the cremation and a new dog but then backed out, so she's suing. He's countersuing for the amount of the coupon, plus his commission. The plaintiff says he and two other people agreed to rent an apartment, but the deal fell through. He claims the defendant got a refund check from the landlord and then skipped out with the whole thing. He's suing for what he's owed. Bournemouth's start under Andoni Iraola has seen a lot of change, but whilst the first set of games didn't garner the points tally Cherries fans wanted, we did see a high level of performance. The last two games however have seen us recoil into a scared side, nervously deploying tactics which are seemingly beyond the capabilities of the on-pitch personnel. Is it a confidence thing? Do we just need patience? Is it a case of right tactics, wrong players? Or right players, wrong tactics? Are we "together"? This episode, I'm back on the line with Brandon Maddox, the world's smartest suppressor man, to swap hunting stories. Brandon recently returned from Africa, where an unprovoked dagga bull Cape buffalo mauled three of Brandon's friends—on two consecutive days! Needless to say, in the end the bull lost. Brandon relates that story, plus we tell tales about hunting wildcats at night, stalking the secretive bushbuck, stopping buffalo charges with lever guns, and of course nerd out on gear. Before closing out we get Brandon's take on selecting and setting up a suppressor for success. Spoiler alert: Brandon used a .338 Lapua on his Cape buffalo (not the one that charged). Naturally, we discuss Cape buffalo minimum cartridges and talk through how the .338 worked. Folks, this was one fun conversation.
