This week we learn about God being with Joshua.  In studying the promotion of Joshua we learn that a person may be strong in faith in one area, but that doesn't mean they will be strong in faith in another area.  After the death of Moses Joshua became fearful and God intervened and came to encourage him.Numbers 27, Joshua 1

In Hebrews 11:29-31, Dr. Mitchell will be sharing with us the Triumphs of faith. These are found in the lives of three people, Moses, Joshua, and Rahab. Moses triumphed by faith when they crossed the red sea on dry land. Joshua triumphed by faith when they encircled the city of Jericho and the walls fell down flat. Rahab the harlot triumphed by faith when she received the two spies in peace and her whole family was saved. How can you and I as Christians triumph by faith in our lives? As the Apostle Paul wrote, "Thanks be to God who always leads us in His triumph in Christ..." 2 Cor.2:14 and again, 1Cor.15:57, "but thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." So, let's thank you God continually for His provision of the life of Christ for us and in us by faith. Here is Dr. Mitchell, Hebrews 11:29 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

As we unpack this passage, we are reminded of God's faithfulness and the assurance that He is at work in our lives. Join us as we find peace and hope in the wisdom of God and the work of Christ accomplished for us. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, they kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

Throughout the Old Testament we see a mysterious figure called the Angel of the LORD, or the Angel of YHWH. This figure claims to be God, takes credit for God's actions and receives worship. Yet He also speaks in the 3rd person when referring to God, which creates an interesting situation. Welcome to another enlightening episode of our captivating podcast series, "The Reigning Centre - The Importance of Seeing Jesus in all of Scripture." In this episode titled "Jesus – Greater than Moses & Joshua," we delve into Hebrews 3-4, joining Johnny Carson as he guides us through the profound significance of Jesus surpassing both Moses and Joshua. Johnny will illuminate the powerful truths found in Hebrews 3:1-6, showcasing how Moses's faithfulness served as a testimony to the greater work that Jesus would accomplish. While Moses faithfully served as a servant in God's house, Jesus demonstrated unparalleled faithfulness as the Son over God's house. Therefore, we are called to consider Jesus and hold fast to our confession. Moving to Hebrews 4:8-10, Johnny will highlight the surpassing greatness of Jesus over Joshua. While Joshua was unable to provide the ultimate rest for the people of God, Jesus, through His finished work, grants us access to God's rest through faith. Although we experience this rest partially in the present, its fullness awaits us in the future. In our pursuit of this rest, Johnny will emphasise the importance of combating unbelief by exposing our hearts through the Word and approaching Jesus, our high priest. Join us for this captivating episode as we explore the superiority of Jesus over Moses and Joshua. Through these comparisons, we gain a deeper understanding of the redemptive work of Jesus and the significance of placing our trust in Him.

Would you consider yourself a faithful person? I’d like to think I’m faithful! As much as we want to be faithful to others and to our responsibilities, we would all have to admit that there have been times when we’ve failed. This morning we will look at the faithfulness of God and how that should affect believers. 2 Facts: 1. God is faithful in all He does so trust Him! (Psalm 33:1-4). - He’s faithful during our afflictions (Psalm 119:75, 67, 71). - He’s faithful to forgive us (1 John 1:9). - He’s faithful when we’re mistreated for our faith (1 Peter 4:19). - He’s faithful during temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Thessalonians 3:3). - He’s faithful to answer our prayers (Psalm 143:1). - He’s faithful to supply our needs (Psalm 91:4). 2. God is faithful in all He says so believe Him Psalm 33:4). - When sin entered the world, God promised a Savior (Galatians 4:4). - When God promised that Abraham’s descendants would be a great nation (Exodus 3:7-8). - When Joshua took over for Moses (Joshua 23:14) - When He promised to return (John 14:3)

In this second episode, Joshua offers an unusual treat—Hostess Snowballs to go with coffee. Kerrie gets down to business, discussing an essential characteristic to start something new. Our coffee conversation: Snow. Snow boarding. Hostess Snowballs. Kerrie and Joshua: Studio 365 salutes The Us Snowboarding Champions and hostess snowballs! Okay—here’s the basics:START is the word for March.Starting something is essential for living the best life—otherwise we are stuck in the same and mundane of life. The thing is starting new . . . can feel extreme. . . . when life itself is filled with stuff that stress us out. So.STARTING IS a process. The first thing on the list is learning that we must be trustworthy to start something new. What is trustworthy? You are proven to be worth someone’s trust. It’s big and it’s powerful. Have you ever broke someone’s trust? The ancient leader, Joshua was an emerging leader. His resume was filled with experience from the second chair, he had been entrusted with vital tasks, but ultimately, his boss, Moses, had the final word. The succession plan was Joshua to take Moses’ position. So. When Moses died, Joshua started a new position in the first chair. It required many things; however, trust was at the top of the list. Trust is difficult at any time, but especially of the start of doing something new. Here’s the thing . . . the people knew Joshua was trustworthy—he had proved it over and over. The first chapter of his book—says the people turned their trust from Moses to Joshua.* He had to trust that his new position was right and he had to be trusted in his new position. Trust is an essential element of starting something new. Even so, it’s easy to mistrust and break someone’s trust in this era. We often do not think of trust as being essential until it’s broken. It takes time to earn the equity of trust. Good questions to ask: “Do I trust myself to start something new? Do I trust this is the right start in my life? Do others trust me to get it started? ”In the end, nothing good comes out of being less than trustworthy. It’s the right time in our world to realize nothing will work until we intentionally take the time to become and be trustworthy. Are you ready? Here’s today’s life list: Make a list of what it means to be trustworthy and keep to it. For example: Honor your own and one another’s boundaries. Do what you say you will do. Be honest; if, something’s not working, just say it and move on. If, you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all (this includes keeping confidential). Be trustworthy 24/7 not just when someone is looking. Let’s start the day with being trustworthy. Talk to you tomorrow in Studio 365. *16 “Then they answered Joshua, “Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. 17 Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you. Only may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses” (Joshua 1:16-17, NIV).

Phil continued his preach about our priestly status and laying a foundation and building on it with some vision for what we feel God has said and the way he is leading us. Week 2 – A Kingdom of Priests HEB 4:14‭-‬16 ESV‬‬‬ Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. http://bible.com/59/heb.4.14-16.ESV • Each one of us is here to fulfill a God given purpose • In revelation, the summing up of all things there’s this declaration "You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God ; and they shall reign on the earth. " (Revelation 5:10 ESV) • We are all called • We are all chosen • Not of ourselves God has made us to be • We believe in the priesthood of all believers • The reason Jesus was revealed to destroy the works of the evil one, • We exist to make Jesus known across the Peak District region Our priestly call is; • We are to minister first to God -Worship • The presence of God manifest among us refreshing renewing changing empowering as we approach the throne grace where his presence fill everything in every way • We are to minister to one another – Jesus said they would know we are his disciples by our love for one another • We are to minister to those who do not know • God has made available to us al we need to be equipped to do all 3 • This term is about us getting equipped • This is about Jesus and his Kingdom rule and reign in all the earth that, before he comes again the gospel will be made known to every tribe tongue and nation, not just words but demonstration of kingdom Vision • This morning I want to speak from the heart • I want to share what we feel God has spoken to us • The reason we are hear, to make Jesus known in every community, village, & town of the Peak District, to affect towns and cities around us, to send to the nation’s • God spoke some years ago and said “when you secure Matlock you will take the peaks” o How we secure Matlock is by our being established in the town o We already are well on the way to that Through the many thing we already to here o The building is part of that establishing, we will be submitting a fresh application next month change of use Hope Valley What we are doing in the Hope Valley is to make Jesus known, we are doing this by • Praying in the area • Partnering with other Christians in the area • Training how to reach out • Encouraging other churches who are willing to and share a desire to reach the area There is no village or town off limits , where ever you live, work, socialise is where you are free to bring the kingdom to affect culture. As a family of churches Newfrontiers has a calling from God to change the expression of Christianity around the world We are seeking to do that here in the Peaks We are to change culture both in the church and in the world around us I’ve lived with something God spoke to me some years ago at our 25th celebration Moses / Joshua – what God spoke to me from this story Moses years – all together, one place, gathered around the temple, nomadic, everything supplied, weren’t warriors, it was mainly a new generation not known Egypt. Joshua era – together they took the promised land of the Cannanites, city after city and established themselves in each place. They had to establish community, society, social care, health care, education, businesses of every kind. They established who they were always mentioned to be in the land God meant for them to have. It’s time for us to do the same – establish who we are in the region God has given to us. • Change the culture of the church • Affect the culture around us • Bring God’s Kingdom rule and reign to th

A mulligan in golf is a second chance.  It is usually granted after the first attempt is duffed. Wouldn’t it be great if life afforded us a second chance?  Well, the good news of the gospel is that we can have a second chance.   Israel got a second chance to enter the Promised Land.  Now, to be sure, they blew it the first time.   God had rescued them from Egypt and brought them miraculously to the brink of the Promised Land.  There they balked.  They doubted and refused to go forward.  That whole generation died in the wilderness.  What should have been a couple weeks’ journey from Egypt to Israel turned into forty years of wandering.  Finally, God brought them back to the Jordan.  The ball is teed up.  It’s their mulligan moment.  God says, Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. Thankfully, they had learned their lesson and this new generation arose and said “yes” to the Lord!   As we retrace the journey of the Israelites, it is an opportunity us to have a fresh start too.  May He hear us say “yes” as He calls us to a new place of obedience in 2016! Arise!   Arise “Make the Most of Your Mulligan” Joshua 1:1-5   Face the facts (v. 1-2a)   After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, “Moses my servant is dead . . .” (Joshua 1:1-2a).   Hard truth   Heartening truth   Face the future   Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses (Joshua 1:2b-3).   Partnership with God   Promises from God   Face the foes   No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you (Joshua 1:5).   Clarification about this promise   Condition for this promise
