There are normal radio shows... and then there's whatever happened today. This daily comedy episode kicks off with a passionate (and surprisingly heated) debate over the greatest American bands of all time. Aerosmith? Metallica? The Beach Boys? Pearl Jam? Eagles? Somebody is wrong, somebody gets roasted, and nobody leaves happy. Then Kenny Chesney somehow steals the spotlight before he even performs. Between Shirt Nation jokes, concert cancellations, and rumors surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's possible wedding, the crew has plenty to say—and almost none of it is nice.Kate Beckinsale reminds everyone that grief doesn't always look the same after revealing that coping with personal tragedy involved prank calls and mooning people from a hotel window. Naturally, the gang spends far too long discussing whether society unfairly abandoned the fine art of mooning sometime after Y2K.Speaking of questionable history... conspiracy theorists are convinced someone attended Elvis Presley's final concert with an iPhone decades before smartphones existed. Is it proof of time travel? An old camera? A vape? The Rizz Show investigates with the scientific rigor you'd expect from people arguing about Don Henley's FBI search history five minutes earlier. The celebrity gossip keeps rolling with Noah Kahan begging concertgoers to stop leaving surprises on venue floors, Alan Jackson's emotional farewell concert, Bill Maher's Mark Twain Prize, Mel Brooks turning 100, and a surprisingly heartfelt conversation about legendary supergroups that disappeared way too soon.Somewhere in the middle, Riz announces a concert he'll absolutely attend, the crew argues over Taylor Swift's rumored wedding location, Kenny Chesney gets called out for canceling shows, and everyone discovers there are apparently multiple ways to accidentally become internet-famous.It's another chaotic ride packed with celebrity news, weird news, music debates, conspiracy theories, sarcastic humor, and the completely unnecessary confidence that only The Rizzuto Show can deliver. If you enjoy ridiculous conversations that somehow bounce from classic rock to celebrity gossip to time-traveling Elvis without ever touching the brakes, congratulations—you've found your people. This daily comedy episode delivers everything you'd expect from The Rizzuto Show: laughs, debates, pop culture commentary, questionable life advice, and absolutely zero guarantees that any topic will stay on track for more than two minutes.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Segment 3: Blackpink's Lisa announced a Las Vegas residency at the Coliseum at Caesar's Palace. She is the first KPOP artist to have a residency in Vegas. While Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé are off doing other things, Lisa will be performing there in November. It will start with an episode hosted by Ken Jennings, with contestants from the YouTube creator world: Monét X Change, Rebecca Black and Brennan Lee Mulligan. Following its debut, which saw its first three episodes launch on Paramount+, “The Madison” tallied up 8 million views in its first ten days. The series, which stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, also SCORED BIG with women over 35…much like Russell. Segment 8: Comedian Bill Maher confessed he took no issue with Donald Trump's attempt to block his Kennedy Center honor, noting he was happy to “keep the game going” with the president. Yep, Woods specialty is ROLLOVER accidents. IDIOT! Segment 11:  CBS has cancelled the series “Watson' after 2 seasons, and also canceled the comedy “DMV” after 1 season. However, they RENEWED 16 of its programs, including “Matlock,” “Elsbeth”, “Marshals” and “Tracker.” Meanwhile, the “CBS Evening News” sunk to its lowest numbers, dipping below 4 million viewers. Dead Walter Cronkite said…nothing. Segment 12: Russell Brand‘s trial on rape and sexual assault charges has been delayed. The trial, which will combine all seven charges that have been brought against the comedian and actor in the last year, was originally set to begin in London on June 16th but will now begin on Oct. 12th. It is expected to last up to two SALACIOUS months. Loser. Segment 13: The teaser trailer for HBO’s Harry Potter series shattered records, amassing over 277 million views in its first 48 hours. The debut teaser more than doubled the previous record for the most-watched trailer in HBO history, setting the stage for the series’ release on Christmas Day, 2026. WHICH will be here before you KNOW it. Uggh. Segment 14: The TV adaption of the Anne Rice novel “Talamasca: The Secret Order” has been canceled at AMC after just one season. The group's 82 date stadium tour kicks off this week in Seoul and includes 4 nights at L.A.'s SOFI STADIUM in September. The group's documentary, “BTS The Return”, is airing on Netflix. One piece of bad news – group member RM suffered a sprained ankle and ligament tear and only has limited movement. Other than that, the band is excited to perform live around the world, which will include several songs off the new album, like this one which we LOVE. Laugh Tracks Legends of Comedy with Randy and Steve

Over the last 40 years few comedians have had the pedigree of today's Legend. Harvard Lampoon President? Check! Simpson's writer and show runner? Check! Late Night TV host tapped to replace Letterman's Late Nite show? Check! Tonight Show host (at least for a little while)? Check! Successful Oscar host? Check! Possessing a goofy but sharp sense of humor and a gift for comic self-deprecation, Conan has accumulated a shelf full of awards over his career including multiple Emmy and Writer's Guild Awards and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. And, oh yeah, when he had his syndicated talk show, Conan's band leader was none other than Max Weinberg, drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. For a boomer (and a fine guitarist) like Conan that might be the biggest accomplishment of all. As always find additional clips below and thanks for sharing our shows! Want more Conan? Conan was an SNL writer during one of the show's best runs in the late 1990s writing many classic bits. Here's the full sketch that introduced "The Girl Watchers" to the world. https://youtu.be/FnDGawHdKUg?si=ZaOxoIY4ehHswX8x It took audiences a while to warm to Conan's hosting style when he took over David Letterman's Late Night show back in the early 90s. No doubt this interview with Dolly Parton was a big part of the learning process. https://youtu.be/ui6pYEXO9BI?si=GQyPdbUdaw3dhNKS Conan's job hosting the 2025 Oscars won rave reviews from critics and viewers. Mike Sweeney started writing for Conan O'Brien 30 years ago and has been right there by his side ever since. His work has fueled not only the host's two big late-night shows—with a tumultuous stint on the ‘Tonight Show' in between—but also his recent gig hosting the Oscars and his newest project, the travel show ‘Conan O'Brien Must Go,' which arrives Thursday, May 8 on Max. In this episode, Sweeney discusses this particularly momentous time in O'Brien's career, including how Donald Trump's takeover of the Kennedy Center threatened to derail his acceptance of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor (streaming Sunday, May 4 on Netflix). Instead, like with so much of their other work together, Sweeney and O'Brien found a way to marry a hopeful outlook on the world with deeply silly jokes. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the legendary comedian Bob Newhart.  Bob Newhart's journey to stardom was unconventional and inspiring. His story is a testament to the power of perseverance and natural talent. When he was 30, Bob was still living with his parents and working as an accountant. Despite his unassuming appearance and halting speech pattern, he quickly rose to national fame with his understated comedy routines. His debut comedy album, "The Buttoned Down Mind of Bob Newhart," was a groundbreaking success. It topped the recordings of industry giants like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley to secure the number one spot on the Billboard charts for 14 weeks in 1960. This remarkable feat earned Bob a Grammy and recognition as the first comedian to achieve such a milestone. Moreover, he remains the only comedian to this day to win Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Album of the Year. Bob Newhart is perhaps best known for two long-running sitcoms: "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Newhart." "The Bob Newhart Show," which aired on CBS from 1972 to 1978, featured Bob as a Chicago psychologist navigating the quirks of his patients. Suzanne Plachette played his wife, and their childless relationship was a deliberate choice by Bob to avoid the stereotypical sitcom tropes of the time."Newhart," which aired from 1982 to 1990, was another critical success. The series finale of "Newhart" remains one of the most memorable television moments, as Bob's character wakes up beside Suzanne Plachette's character from "The Bob Newhart Show," revealing the entire series as a dream. Bob Newhart's impact on comedy and television is undeniable. He was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, a fitting recognition for a man whose work has influenced generations of comedians. A favorite anecdote among fans involves Richard Pryor confessing to Bob that he had stolen a copy of "The Buttoned Down Mind of Bob Newhart" from a record store in Peoria, Illinois. Pryor humorously settled the debt years later by handing Bob a quarter, the royalty payment Bob would have earned from the album.Bob Newhart's legacy will undoubtedly endure for generations to come. His timeless comedy and groundbreaking achievements have cemented his place in entertainment history. As we remember Bob, let us celebrate the laughter and joy he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, Bob. You will be missed but never forgotten.Unlock an ad-free podcast experience with Caloroga Shark Media! Get all our shows on any player you love, hassle free!
