Welcome to Roadcase!!  We're psyched to be joined by Jordan Reynolds this week, who performs as the psych-Americana outfit,  Rose Hotel. This wonderful Atlanta-based artist goes toe-to-toe with Josh in a fun interview filled with twists, turns and a few surprises (Wilco stories, anyone?).  Jordan has relied primarily on her strong DIY spirit, and her upcoming sophomore album entitled A Pawn Surrender, is co-produced with Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster, Toro Y Moi, Futurebirds, et al). Her recent collaborations include studio work and touring with Susto as well as a recent tour in Faye Webster's backing band. Coming up in Western Kentucky alongside her friend, S.G. The distinctive sound of the Psychedelic Era was not just component of the rock music of the period. There was a good bit of Folk Music which was influenced by the times. That sound did not end with advent of the 1970s and lives on in many artists today. On the next two shows, we’ll look back to that magical period and to artists that carry that spirit on through to today. On our show this week Geoff and I explore Super-Political Psych-Folk warrior SELDA! An extremely outspoken liberal activist in Turkey, Selda was the student of engineering physics until she decided to pursue musical service to the Turkish people. With her powerful and passionate voice, she highly criticized the government and even after the coup d'etat in 1980 was arrested four times in three years for her activism! Selda still performs, creates and produces records to this day, working in Istanbul at her studio called  Majör Müzik Yapım.
