This week on the KOKO Show we are joined by the man that is about to sit alone atop the mountain as the most capped Super Rugby player ever. That is right this rag tag show has once again landed a white whale and the game of rugby's ‘Mr Right Now', James ‘Styvo' Slipper. This coming weekend slips moves to 203 Super Rugby games and takes out the title, so on the show he humbly talks about all the records he holds, his imminent playing future and he defends some funny stories that we got from his wife Kara. This bloke has changed the game of rugby in Australia for the better and this week on KOKO we give this big backy bastard his flowers and shower him with some much deserved adoration. Plus, we tackle all the action from the Superb Rugby and we proudly crown France the Champions of the Guinness Six Nations, after an ‘all-time' after the siren execution of those English lads. However, this week isn't all about the RA RA - we take some time to talk about our weekend activities, we discuss the best proposal stories, we test the boys French speaking skills and of course we dumpster dive right back into Swoop's Temu cupboard. So sit back, relax and take and intravenous dose of some fucking C'est La Vie. It is time to say “Such Is Life” with an all new episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons. We're back to break down all the action from last Thursday's Europa & Conference League bonanza. We start in Bulgaria and Romania, where Ludogorets and FCSB played host to two extraordinarily entertaining goal fests, with the former taking down struggling Feyenoord. We also take a stop in Greece to discuss why AEK Athens is in such good form and why they have a real shot at challenging for the UECL grown. Then we move on to the BIG BOYS in both competitions, stopping along the way to marvel at Aston Villa's ability to pull out close wins, laud Vincenzo Italiano for the work he's doing at Bologna, and pile on Fiorentina, Mainz, and Nice , who are all experiencing the worst of times. Of course, we still have time to talk Lincoln Red Imps' historic second win in the league phase, plus examine Wilfried Nancy's rocky start to life at Celtic. All that, and a look ahead to what's at stake on the Conference League league phase's final day on December 18. Cheers to Marko Nikolić!

In the West Bank, record levels of Israeli settler violence against Palestinians are unfolding with little mainstream coverage. The few journalists who try to report on it often face attacks themselves. When the violence is covered, the settlers are often framed as fringe actors, despite clear backing from the Israeli state. A de facto annexation is under way in the West Bank, and yet much of the international media continues to look away. Contributors: Ben Reiff – Senior editor, +972 Magazine Jasper Nathaniel – Journalist Leila Warah – Bethlehem-based journalist Mariam Barghouti – Ramallah-based journalist On our radar As the rhetoric coming out of the Trump administration calling for the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro intensifies, much of the United States media is echoing that language. And with journalists branding Venezuela a “narco-state,” critics warn that the news media - much like in the lead-up to the Iraq War - is making the case for US military intervention. Defossilising the truth: Fighting fossil fuel disinformation As the COP30 climate summit in Belem wrapped up this week, we spoke with UN Special Rapporteur on climate change and human rights Elisa Morgera about a major barrier to real climate action: disinformation. Her latest report lays out how climate justice activists and policymakers are battling decades of coordinated greenwashing by some of the world's biggest fossil fuel companies - efforts that continue to delay and undermine meaningful progress at this critical moment. Featuring: Elisa Morgera – UN Special Rapporteur on climate change and human rights

The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 4th study session on Maria Eftimiades's The Sins Of The Mother: The Heartbreaking True Story Behind the Susan Smith Murder Case. In October of 1994 (mere months after the arrest of Orenthal James Simpson), Susan Smith was introduced to the world as a #WeepingWhiteWoman who claimed a no count black dude stole her car with her two small White children in the back seat. White people across the land were furious. It took nearly two weeks for police to discover that Smith not only fabricated the story that a black fella drove off with her kids, she ultimately confessed to drowning her own toddlers. Gus insists that listeners pay particular attention to the black misandry of this case. Last week, we learned that Susan and her White family refused to cooperate with sketch artists to generate a more accurate sketch of the negro fiend who stole her kids. C.O.W.S.'s listeners were taken aback by the number of White people who said they always doubted Smith's story - although they didn't think she had committed murder. Even amidst all the suspicion, a White Woman publicly testified to Susan's good character and demanded that people stop doubting that she was a victim of negro crime. The same day her character testimonial was published, Smith confessed to drowning her toddlers. #FamilyAnihilator #INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: http://cash.app/$TheCOWS Call: 720.716.7300 Code: 564943#

When Nelson Mandela and the ANC delivered South Africa from Apartheid in the 90s, hopes were high that the country could become a beacon of freedom and fairness. A generation later, those dreams lie in tatters. Elites have plundered state coffers to the tune of billions, mines have been taken over by illegal “chancers,” and the ghettoes of South Africa's largest city, Cape Town, are suffering levels of violence unseen since segregation. Left with few opportunities, corrupt cops and hundreds of gangs, locals have turned to private security firms, the country's new boom trade. Others have thrown up roadblocks and christened whip-wielding vigilante groups, as the country descends into ever more hellish levels of organized crime.
