Want your patients' brains to feel younger for longer? In this episode, we explore neuro longevity through a practitioner lens with chiropractor and naturopath Damien Kristof - challenging the idea that better brain health comes from adding more hacks. Instead, Damien unpacks a clear hierarchy: heal the nervous system from the top down and inside out, remove interference, and let the body do what it's designed to do.Drawing on decades of clinical practice and lessons from Blue Zones like Icaria and Sardinia, we examine why purpose ignites the brain, community keeps it resilient, and daily, natural movement consistently outperforms punishing exercise. Nutrition still matters - but it's the unsexy fundamentals that protect mitochondria and calm inflammation: adequate protein, fibre-rich and colourful plants, and stable blood sugar.Together, we map seven pillars that shape health span, not just lifespan: purpose, engagement, movement, nutrition, community, spirituality, and finance. You'll hear why spirituality provides nervous system perspective, how financial security reduces chronic stress load, and why social connection is one of the most under-prescribed neuroprotective tools. We also tackle Australia's “last twelve years” problem and how habit-first, systems-based care can help patients age better, not just longer. From a clinical standpoint, Damien reframes nutrients as messengers and building blocks rather than fixes, explains the value of tracking trends over ninety days, and shares simple, practical strategies to support vagal tone through posture and breath. For targeted support, we discuss calming nervines for wired-tired states and spotlight emerging evidence on saffron for neuroinflammation and mood support. The key takeaway for practitioners: build a life—and a care plan—that protects the nervous system first, then layer in supplements and herbs with precisionConnect with Damian: Damian Kristof | Wellness ProfessionalShownotes and references are available on the Designs for Health websiteRegister as a Designs for Health Practitioner and discover quality practitioner- only supplements at www.designsforhealth.com.au Follow us on Socials Instagram: Designsforhealthaus Facebook: Designsforhealthaus DISCLAIMER: The Information provided in the Wellness by Designs podcast is for educational purposes only; the information presented is not intended to be used as medical advice; please seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional if what you have heard here today raises questions or concerns relating to your health

Mikey and Palmer unpack the explosive immigration raids in LA as Trump calls in the National Guard, sparking riots and a war of words with Gov. Newsom. Meanwhile, the Trump-Musk feud escalates—tech vs. politics in real time. Plus, the TSA reminds us your Costco card won't get you on a plane (even if you love hot dogs). In cigar news: tariffs hit hard, imports dip, and Max Bichler exits Rocky Patel. New releases from Kristoff, Micallef, and Dunbarton make waves. And don't miss another fiery round of "What's the Score?" where Mike and Palmer go head-to-head with a Saka powerhouse and a Ditka disappointment. Also—tour dates announced! From Pennsylvania crawls to Florida pairings and a special July 5th Hustler Experience with Skip Martin, we've got events you won't want to miss.
An open and honest conversation with two young and healthy 20 something year old men. Kristoff is my stepson and currently a semi-permanant fixture in the household. Taking some time away from the university life and experiencing a fulltime job with crazy schedules. Jake- one of Kristoff's best friends, is also living out the blue collar lifestyle. Taking it on the chin like the rest of us, when life dishes it out. We discuss what life is like in the current world of fast technology, social media, political controversy, and fading traditions. How faith has been a pivotal piece for each of us in our survival of mental health challenges. Jake and Kristoff (the 20 somethings) grew up together and both found refuge in the sport of baseball throughout their high school career. Which obviously was't that long ago. Although humor seems to be the initial hardware used in navigating such vulnerability, it isn't long before each of us begin to expose our deepest programming. From surviving our childhood to understanding the scope of fatherhood as we have experienced it. This discussion dives deep into our own personal experiences. Ultimately, it is an ivitation to all men to welcome their own vulnerability into the conversation and fearlessly lift one another up.

Although the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show didn't feature as many new releases as Kristoff has in recent years, it was certainly not a quiet year. The 2025 PCA Trade Show would see the grand unveiling of Kristoff's revamped packaging across its portfolio. That was announced in 2023, and while Kristoff already moved a few lines to the new packaging, 2025 would see the lion's share of the portfolio transitioned. In addition, once again, Kristoff would have a PCA Exclusive cigar to offer. Full PCA Report: https://wp.me/p6h1n1-woX

Welcome to Leavenworth, Washington, also known as Little Bavaria. Front Street is lined with Alpine-style buildings and restaurants serving German beer and food. The Nutcracker Museum displays thousands of nutcrackers, some dating back centuries. The BIT Crew pays homage to Bavarian mainstays, including beer, pretzels, hot tubs, cold tubs, BMWs, Mini Coopers, Leiderhosen, the Bavarian flag, ice skating, polka music, and hot, hot goss! You may even learn a few things about Bavaria that might be true! Not only does everyone in Leavenworth seem to have a GoFundMe, they also have podcasts! Enjoy the Leavenworth Podcast Network's 2025 lineup! Hot Tub Chat: Hosted by Flannery Feinberg and Buford Billingsly. They aren't having much luck finding a hot, hot tub, but they are charming and their on-site segments are often educational. Cold. Colder. Coldest. Rocky and Helmut (the Bavarian) host this delightful podcast. They mostly inform tourists on what to do in freezing weather; sometimes Rocky tries to find Bavaria on a map and learn German during the acclaimed "Helmut Teaches German" segments. In the Barrell? Jenny Winter and Spring Smith spill the tea and find the drama behind the town's annual March Fest (like Oktoberfest...but in March). These two aren't afraid to stir the pots and poke the bears. You never know which local character will be in their hot seat. Sponsors include Snowball Jam 2025, Wilbur's Ice Skating Rink & Skating School, Barry's Ba Ba Bar, Johanna's Icicle Inn, Kristoff's Skintight Leiderhosen, Fritz's 24/7 Bail Bonds, March Fest Bier Garten, Beate Uhse, and Gunter's Grinder. Coming in at #4 on the 2024 Cigar of the Year Countdown is the Kristoff Tres Compadres Toro. The name Tres Compadres means “three friends.” In this case, it is a tribute from Kristoff owner Glen Case to two of his close friends who recently passed away, Chuck Finch and Rolando Villamil. Case would often refer to the three of them as the three amigos. Rolando Villamil is a name that may be pretty familiar if you cover the cigar industry, as he ran Tabacalera Von Eicken in the Dominican Republic, where all of Kristoff's cigars are produced. Is there enough Human Spirit in your Marketing? Episode 221 (Kristof is based in South Carolina) In this conversation with Kristof Morrow we explore: The honest perspective from a person with Tourette's Syndrome The value of revealing a flaw Talking about internal conflicts Indirect marketing versus direct marketing Memorable characters from Super Bowl ads Understanding the audience that likes and follows you Recognizing the perspective of the audience, their bias and ignorance How to show kindness in your marketing Being transparent about your deficiencies ----- About our guest, Kristof Morrow: Kristof is an award wining journalist and the author of two books in the fantasy series, The Second Sun. He is a disabled veteran. He has Tourette's Syndrome which offers him a unique perspective on marketing and communication. His mission is to help people better understand each other. You can learn more about Kristof and his book, at the website: https://www.kristofmorrow.com/ ----- Excerpts from this conversation with Kristof Morrow: Respect is a large part of marketing. ----- For example, you you just said "Shakespeare" when we weren't even talking about Shakespeare. And Christophe also has Tourette's Syndrome, which means, and as most people might understand it, that people have tics. They often say things involuntary. Sometimes they might even have physical tics, I'm guessing. And let's see how that gives Kristoff a particular perspective that most of us can't see. And today we're going to talk about the spirit of marketing. And that's an interesting phrase that you used Kristoff. Tell us what that means to you. I think that means ultimately, like, how, how much of yourself, how human your approach to marketing is, how much you deviate from the notion that there has to be sort of a calculated approach. It's very it's a lot more human, I think. Yeah, so, for example, like I have Tourette's. ----- You were more transparent that way. And I'm wondering, have you been told that before that you appear to be more transparent with your feelings? Yeah, that's, um, that's a large, a large part of, I think, I think that's some part, at least a component of my success, is that I don't pretend to have confidence. I'm, yeah, I make no effort to false, to falsify that it doesn't it doesn't help. It doesn't help because people can see it, and then they just sort of pity you in secret. But if you, if you confront it, I feel like they can get on board with that, and they can, they can think within themselves, like, you know, what would I be doing in this situation, rather than, oh gosh, look what he's doing in this situation. You know it's, yeah, it allows, again, it allows you to be, for people to Rick, to to acknowledge your humanity, Shakespeare, Shakespeare. ----- ----more---- Your Intended Message is the podcast about how you can boost your career and business success by honing your communication skills. We'll examine the aspects of how we communicate one-to-one, one to few and one to many – plus that important conversation, one to self. In these interviews we will explore presentation skills, public speaking, conversation, persuasion, negotiation, sales conversations, marketing, team meetings, social media, branding, self talk and more.
