The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Racist Suspect Professor Carrie J. Preston. Classified as a White Woman, Professor Preston is the Professor of English and Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies; Arvind & Chandan Nandlal Kilachand Professor; and Director, Kilachand Honors College at Boston University. Her “research and teaching interests include modernist literature, performance, and dance, feminist and queer theory, and transnational and postcolonial studies.” The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. recently concluded Dr. Maya Angelou's The Heart of a Woman, and we were startled by her experience with Racist Suspect Jean Genet's The Blacks: A Clown Show. Professor Preston writes about plays like The Blacks, which cater to White “liberal” theater goers, ostensibly, to encourage Whites to Produce Justice, in her book, Complicit Participation: The Liberal Audience for Theater of Racial Justice. Obviously, White attendance at these events has not Produced Justice. In 2003, Preston attended one of the infinite showings of The Blacks where she was spotlighted as a White Woman and painted in blackface. Black audience members were horrified and came to her defense. #ToBeExpected We asked Professor Preston to disclose one Racist Joke she's heard after she confessed to hearing a couple dozen growing up in a Racially Restricted Region of Michigan. She refused our request, but did share that her White family members call Brazil nuts "Nigger Toes," even after they were informed that this was Racist behavior. In fact, they may still use this term when she's not present. Classified as a White Woman and a Suspected White Supremacist, “Grashow is the director of epidemiological research initiatives and co-investigator of Family Experiences Managing Football Lives (FEM-FL) for the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University. Grashow is also a research scientist at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.” The last time Patrick Mahomes' Kansas City Chiefs tussled with Jalen Hurts' Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, The C.O.W.S. welcomed Dr. Jessica Wallace to discuss her research that shows White coaches, White parents, and White players are more informed about the dangers of concussions than black coaches, parents, and players. Dr. Grashow's research examines various elements of how tackle football destroys the brain computer as well the ways the System of White Supremacy exploits black football players while protecting the White Tom Bradys on the field. Part of her work specifically examines how black players are funneled to more dangerous positions, and are less likely to be thought of as or given the opportunity to be a “leader." Right on time for the broadcast, the Eagles' defensive back Cooper DeJean intercepted a Mahomes' pass and returned it for a score. Across social media, DeJean's shared nickname, #ExcitingWhites , began trending for the rest of the evening. The moniker highlights DeJean's racial classification as White in contrast with the fact that for decades White football coaches almost exclusively restrict this defensive position to black males. During our discussion, Dr. Grashow repeatedly insisted that White people are ignorant and/or unconscious about what Racism is and how it works. Taking things to the extreme, Dr. Grashow suggested that Whites at Harvard aren't as smart as Gus T. and that we shouldn't "hand over" power to White dominated institutions. A Florida woman, who shot a neighbor to death in an ongoing dispute over children playing loudly, is expected to sentenced today. AP correspondent Donna Warder reports.

The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 5th study session on Andrée Blouin's My Country, Africa: Autobiography of the Black Pasionaria. A pivotal figure in the history of counter-racism/anti-colonialism throughout the continent of Africa, Blouin is not as well known as South Africa's Madiba and Winnie Mandela, Kenya's Maus Maus and other freedom fighters who participated in combating White Terrorism in Africa. However, Blouin was of monumental importance and, consequently, a target of CIA/White Supremacy campaigns. Gus T. was ignorant about Ms. Blouin, but she was prominently featured in the new documentary, Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat - which examines the assassination of Patrice Lumumba. The film makes time to quote from Blouin's autobiography about the efforts to assassinate she, her family and Lumumba. Last week, Blouin had a volatile dispute with a White Woman about the price of dress. Blouin accused the White Woman of stealing her time and energy used to create the dress. In response, the White Woman ordered her black "boys" and her hound to attack the uppity girl. Blouin ultimately repeats the same behaviors of her mother, having sexual intercourse and producing a child with an older White Man. He absconds before the pale child with gold hair is born. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Amy Godine, Racist Suspect. A White Woman and resident of Saratoga Springs, New York #RaciallyRestrictedRegion, Ms. Godine is an author, educator, and independent researcher and journalist. She's written a number of fiction and non-fiction works and even “taught literature to undergraduates and literature again to incarcerated college students in upstate New York.” Gus found her 2023 publication, The Black Woods: Pursuing Racial Justice on the Adirondack Frontier, around the same time National Public Radio aired a segment about a summer camp that transports non-white children from the city to the Adirondacks to experience nature, wildlife, and the absence of cellphones. Godine's work examines Suspected Racist Gerrit Smith, who “gifted” land to black people during the middle 1800's - prior to the Civil War. This lecture discusses key ideas from the 20th century philosopher, psychoanalyst, and social critic Frantz Fanon's work Black Skin, White Masks It focuses specifically on the discussions in the second and third chapters of the work, titled "The Woman of Color and the White Man," and "The Man of Color and the White Woman." Fanon examines what would need to be the case in order to have the possibility of "true, authentic love—wishing for others what one postulates for oneself, when that postulation unites the permanent values of human reality." His answer is that "mobilization of psychic drives basically freed of unconscious conflicts" would be needed. Since he "believe[s] in the possibility of love, he "endeavor[s] to trace its imperfections, its perversions in these two chapters. Professor Marc Arsell Robinson, author of Washington State Rising: Black Power on Campus in the Pacific Northwest, was the featured speaker at Seattle's Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI). The University of Washington's Simpson Center for the Humanities sponsored and promoted the event under the title: "Black Power and Solidarity on Campus and Beyond, the Denny Lecture." Most of the people in attendance were classified as White. Professor Robinson, black male, provided a wealth of constructive information on the counter-racist efforts of Seattle's black college students in the late 1960's. He made sure to include the COINTELPRO snooping that the FBI conducted on the UW's Black Student Union as soon as the group came into existence - which was in 1968. Robinson emphasized that the founding BSU members reached out to and stressed the importance of non-black, non-white students. Gus asked and received no information about non-white, non-black students making a similar effort to reach out to black students. We were also forced to endure a White Woman's query about the alleged sexism of the black males who founded the BSU. Ilyon Woo, non-white female, visits Elliot Bay Books in Seattle, Washington to promote her brand new book: Master Slave Husband Wife (2023). Gus T. learned about this book when searching for books published the previous calendar year. Woo's work of non-fiction made a number of lists for best non-fiction of the year. The book examines William and Ellen Craft, a pair of 19th century black slaves in the state of Georgia. Ellen Craft is the product of rape and has a White father. Consequently, she is pale enough to be accepted as a White person - so called "passing." After years of White Terrorism and torture on a Georgia slave plantation, William and Ellen take 4 days to concoct an escape plan. Ellen uses her lack of melanin and a fancy pair of pants to fake being an elderly White Man. William is "his" faithful negro slave, and the courageous pair makes haste for the so called north. Woo gives lots of details - including the northern speaking tours William and Ellen gave with the fellow slaves and orators Frederick Douglass and William Wells Brown. Even once the two were miles from the plantation, they could be stolen at any time. And because melanin deficient Ellen is "White presenting," her being married to dark-skinned William means that northern Whites often think she's a 19th century White Woman shacking up with a negro male. An Associate Professor of American History and Culture at the University of East Anglia in England, Dr. Fraser's “research is primarily concerned with the ways in which discourses of gender, race and sexuality were articulated and interacted in the context of nineteenth century America.” A listener told Gus about her most recent work, which examines black female “intellectuals” in the 19th century. Gus was not impressed with this title. However, there was a brief reference to the role White Women play in maintaining the slave plantation. In fact, Dr. Fraser wrote a whole book on this subject called: Gender, Race and Family in Nineteenth Century America: From Northern Woman to Plantation Mistress. This work examines Sarah Hicks Williams, a White Woman born in New York, who ends up running a 19th century plantation in North Carolina. This book touches many aspects of the System of White Supremacy, including: the Religion of White Supremacy, the starvation of black people, and White people using black people as currency. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Racist Suspect Kaitlin O'Connor. A White Woman and North Carolina State University alumnus, Ms. O'Connor is a public historian - which is a new title for Gus T. We'll discuss her 2023 report: Jim Crow & G.I. Joe: The 54th Coast Artillery Regiment in North Carolina. She provides vivid details about the White Terrorist abuse that black soldiers faced when they moved to North Carolina's Camp David in the 1940's. This is close to the Wilmington area, which experienced the 1898 White Supremacist Coup to purge black elected officials. This area of North Carolina, New Hanover County, has a White population well over 82%. The White Terrorist purge of black residence is directly responsible for the high population of powerful, wealthy Whites who live in this southeastern region of the state. O'Connor writes explicitly about how Carolina Whites feared “uppity” black males would disrupt the local System of White Supremacy. She includes black males' use of counter-violence as well as the omission of this important World War II history from current museums and state history projects. We even made time to discuss Joel Spingarn, who's a White man who worked for the NAACP during the 20th century. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism 12/29/23. The "volunteer state" of Tennessee provides a stunning illustration of why Gus strongly promotes no sexual activity with co-workers. About a half dozen officers were fired - including the black male police chief, several officers were suspended, and high-priced lawsuits are pending. A 24-year-old White Woman and former officer, Meagan Hall, is reported to have had sexual intercourse and exchanged pornographic images with her male co-workers. Hall says that as a rookie officer, the more experienced male officers took advantage of her naïveté for their sexual gratification. FOX17 in Nashville reports: "Other officers gave information in their interviews related to two more allegations, including sexual harassment and a 'girls gone wild' hot tub party at a sergeant's house.” Gus says keep all this in mind when co-workers invite you to the New Year's Eve bash. In New York, a black woman found dead inside a storage tote will become known as Peaches for the heart shaped peach tattoo on her breast. And in Georgia, a black woman's bones are found in the underbrush by a man walking his dog. Like many women of color who came before and after them, their stories fade from news coverage - if they're covered at all. What is missing white woman syndrome and how does it translate to unidentified bodies cases? Stewart is an awarding journalist, attorney, and celebrated true crime author. He nabbed a Pulitzer Prize for his work on "insider trading" and stock market malfeasance during the 1980's. Stewart also hoisted an Edgar Award for his 1999 book investigating the "smooth, good looking" but deadly Michael Swango. This White serial killer is caged at a Colorado supermax penitentiary and is suspected of having killed approximately 60 people - although no one truly knows how many murders Swango committed. Last week, we heard how Swango got cheap room and board from a White Woman in Zimbabwe who managed to hang on to black house servants in spite of Robert Mugabe. Swango hoarded bacon by the pound, stole things, sabotaged the vehicle, and maybe poisoned the house peanut butter. He also poisoned White children while successfully evading African authorities. Black female patient Rena Cooper wrote a 1989 letter to the judge who presided over her civil suit for being poisoned by Swango. She emphasizes her lack of hate for Swango and hopes he gets the help he's “asking for and needs.” Since being incarcerated for the rest of his life, Swango has adamantly refused mental health resources.
