POPULARITY
Is humanity being quietly erased? In this episode, we expose the chilling theory behind Mass Depopulation and the so-called "Soft Kill" Agenda—a slow, calculated campaign of control through food, medicine, media, and tech. From sterilization tactics disguised as health policies, to processed food loaded with endocrine disruptors, we ask the hard questions:Who benefits from a shrinking population? Are we being chemically, digitally, and psychologically weakened on purpose? Is this global, or something more... orchestrated? This isn't science fiction. This is what's hiding in plain sight.

Soft Kill is one of the bands defining the sound of 2010s post-punk. The band originally emerged from the post-punk scene in Portland, OR. They have released five albums and several singles and EPs. Their songs are based on drug addiction and many are about actual people who have passed away. Nicole from Soft Kill tells Dez and Zane about some wild stories about being on tour, about how Portland's music scene has changed over the years, and about how the band has become successful DIYing everything including the creation of their one-of-a-kind merchandise. Soft Kill is part of the 2022 Lose Yr Mind festival, which Off the Cuff will be covering live.

Keith sits down with Tobias Grave to discuss his history with music, his struggle with addiction and recovery journey, the formation and history of Soft Kill, the band's DIY ethos, what to expect next and more. Guest co-host: Brad Truax of Interpol.
Tonight, Drew (of the incredible The Last Years) and I deconstruct the emotional journey of "The After", their latest record. We discuss the loss and pain that has informed it's lyrical core, the bands and albums that helped inform the musicianship, and the beauty that nestles within its darkest corners. We discus our mutual love of groups as disparate as The Cure and Faith No More, The Smiths and The Dillinger Escape Plan, AFI and The Call. We name check our love of our contemporaries like Lesser Care, Old Moon, Soft Kill, Catholic School, and Vali SC. We also geek out over 90s Hardcore, Shoegaze, Synthwave, Ska, and tell tales out of school about famous people we've loved and Loathed. Check out The Last Years at Bandcamp, streaming all platforms, and on Instagram/Facebook.
This week's show covers new music from Tokyo's Kikagaku Moyo, Virginia Beach's Pusha T, a Penelope Isles track remixed by Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, and some new post-punk from Portland, Oregon's Soft Kill. For the archive pick this week, Mark dusts off an excellent mashup of the late Ranking Roger doing his thing over and with The Clash's “Rock the Casbah.” Two great artists blended in a dubby, reggae-esque vibe.
