We talk about one of the 485 songs on Apathy's Album 'It's the bootleg MothaFu*kas'. A lyrically dense song that showcases some of the finest lyricist from the underground in the late 90's. Wordsworth, Punchline, Apathy, Gaston and Wiseguy put together this brilliantly boastful track aimed at showcasing their vocabulary and unique flow.
The best boaster in the history of hip hop brags his way through four minutes of fire in this punchline after punchline underground classic. Rise is know for his quick hitting battle raps and doesn't disappoint on this track. Produced by the Demigodz very own, Apathy, this is a great display of production and lyrics from the duo.

Drunk Hug - it's a song I often refer to as "my favorite song I've ever written". I suppose it's best described as an "orchestral synth ballad." In my tenure, I've learned to try to challenge how vulnerable I can get on a song - but stating the first name of the person the song is about in the chorus was something I wasn't sure I was ready for. I've been wanting to break this song down for a while, and I get a little sentimental doing so. In this week's podcast I deconstruct the closing track on my latest record Good Weird - Headbang. This is actually a super old song that had already been released, but is no longer listenable online. I go through the older version of the tune and talk about what elements I carried over to the new, released version, and why. This is one of my most calculated tunes, and one of my most darkest - I hope you'll enjoy the long-form ruminations.
