Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcasters Russ Williams, Marcus Buckland and Luke as we review the north London derby which ended in disappointment. Although Randal Kolo Muani scored his first Premier League goal just two minutes after Eberechi Eze's opener for the visitors, the Gunners scored three unanswered goals in the second half – Eze on target again and Viktor Gyokeres with a brace – to wrap up the win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and repeat the 4-1 defeat they inflicted on us at the Emirates earlier in the season. Tottenham Hotspur has officially rolled the dice, appointing former Juventus hardman Igor Tudor to replace the chaos in N17. With a reputation for high-intensity 3-5-2 systems and uncompromising discipline, Tudor arrives in London on a mission to fix a fractured defense and unleash Son Heung-min in transition. We analyze whether his "heavy metal" tactics from Marseille and Lazio will translate to the Premier League, or if this high-stakes gamble by Johan Lange is a short-term fix for a long-term identity crisis. The Thomas Frank experiment at Tottenham Hotspur has officially reached its "lifeless" conclusion. Sacked o just hours after a demoralizing 2-1 defeat to Newcastle, Frank leaves Spurs languishing in 16th place—perched dangerously just five points above the relegation zone. We discuss the tactical friction that saw the club trade Postecoglou's high-octane flair for a pedestrian pragmatism that fans openly revolted against. From dressing room clashes with key stars to a goal-scoring drought that left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in silence, we break down why the Dane's "miracle worker" reputation vanished in North London. Thomas Frank Tottenham sacking, Spurs relegation battle 2026, Premier League manager news, Tottenham vs Newcastle 2-1, Goalya daily soccer podcast
The Derby d'Italia this weekend felt crucial in the race for this year's Scudetto. Musa and Ryan chat about Inter leaving it late to beat Juventus (05:03), who were down to ten for the entire second half at San Siro, after a very controversial second yellow for Pierre Kalulu. It took a brilliant winner from Piotr Zieliński to win the game and send Inter eight points clear of the top, thanks to Napoli's draw with Roma. In the middle of all that, there's a big detour about manager's first touches and player showboating (17:39), before chatting about Igor Tudor becoming the Tottenham Hotspur men's interim head coach (34:53). Finally, there's a round-up (45:33) featuring La Liga, Bundesliga, FA Cup, a rare case of a spiritually onside goal actually counting and Mo Salah doing his bit for content. As mentioned, Scouted have launched the first edition of their new digital magazine and are giving Stadio listeners a month's full access to their site (including the new issue) for just £2! The biggest news in American soccer on Wednesday wasn't Lionel Messi's hamstring injury, or Tottenham Hotspur eyeing up Mauricio Pochettino after firing Thomas Frank. Nope, it was Matthew Doyle announcing that he is no longer with MLSSoccer.com and is off to be an independent soccer writer and part of the Kickback Media crew. Naturally this meant Jason got into the weeds about American soccer media...and then was joined by Jonathan Tannenwald to go even deeper. This is a show for longtime American soccer fans and anyone interested in the view of two vets on where soccer media used to be, where it is now, and where it might be headed. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Vass Koni and Marlon as playing for over an hour with 10 men proved too much of an uphill task at Old Trafford as we suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime. Having started well, we found ourselves on the back foot after captain Cristian Romero was shown a straight red card for his 29th-minute challenge on Casemiro and the Red Devils duly took advantage to register their first win against us in nine attempts. Bryan Mbeumo slid home following a short corner routine seven minutes before half-time, but we stayed very much in the game – thanks in part to a string of fine saves from Guglielmo Vicario – and it was only a late goal from Bruno Fernandes that finally killed us off. The second period also saw the debut of Souza, signed last month from Brazilian side Santos, following an injury to Destiny Udogie at left-back. We discuss the actions of Romero and whether he has lost all the goodwill he gained during the week from Spurs fans, we question if Spurs are in a relegation battle and if so whether Thomas Frank can steer us out of it.
