Jack is joined by Stu and Jay to try and harness some desperately needed positivity ahead of a monumentally important weekend for Tottenham Hotspur. We kick things off by reflecting on a surprisingly uplifting night in the Champions League. Despite crashing out on aggregate, the 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid showcased a squad genuinely fighting for the shirt. We discuss Igor Tudor finally securing his first win, the brilliance of the Archie Gray and Xavi Simons. We also touch upon that controversial refereeing decision right before Julian Alvarez's equaliser. Attention then quickly turns to the grim reality of our domestic campaign and the prospect of a relegation six-pointer against Nottingham Forest this Sunday. Stu and Jay take us through the motivation behind their incredible fan-led movement, 'Show Up. Sing Up. Stay Up.' We explore the mental shift required to put our deep-seated anger towards the board to one side for 90 minutes, simply because the alternative of dropping into the Championship is completely unthinkable. The lads lay out the exact logistical plan for Sunday, urging everyone to gather at The Bricklayers from 11:30 AM. We talk about the sheer impact a massive, vocal crowd can have when the team coach arrives what it will do to both our players and the opposition before kick-off. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Billie T, George Achillea, Adam Nathan and Gary Ward in this bumper edition of Last Word On Spurs. We reflect on Igor Tudor remaining in the Spurs job for now and to take charge of tonight's Champions League last-sixteen second leg tie against Atlético Madrid, where we debate the team he can select from, where on the eve it was confirmed that Skipper Cristian Romero, Lucas Bergvall and Destiny Udogie all return from injury, while Micky van de Ven, who played in the first leg in Madrid, is available after missing Sunday's Premier League draw at Liverpool due to suspension. However it's not all positive news on the injury front with Dominic Solanke understood to have a 'small problem' which will be assessed on the eve of the game and Conor Gallagher understood to have contracted a virus. We discuss Micky van de Ven's pre-match interview to the media in which he addressed comments circulating that some first-team players who are determined to arrest Spurs' decline have expressed displeasure at the application of some of their team-mates, who they believe are not motivated to help their cause. One player reportedly expressed to his team-mates he is not too concerned by the possibility of relegation because he believes he can and will leave the club this summer. Billie T also outlines the plans for the fan initiative gathering ahead of Nottingham Forest on Sunday and how supporters can get involved ahead of what's being billed as one of the most important home matches in Tottenham Hotspur's modern history.

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Billie T, Luke and Marlon from as a traumatic night ended in defeat after conceding four goals in the opening stages of our Champions League last 16 first leg at Atletico Madrid's Estadio Metropolitano. Although we scored twice through Pedro Porro and Dominic Solanke to give ourselves a glimmer of hope for next week's return in N17, we were dealt a series of self-inflicted blows in the first half which gave the home side a huge advantage in the tie. The loss was our 19th defeat of the season in all competitions, and the first time in our entire history, we have lost six consecutive matches. Igor Tudor is the the first manager in Spurs' history to lose each of his first four games in charge, we unanimously conclude his time at the Club is up and discuss where Tottenham should turn to next, in our bid to retain our Premier League status, ahead of a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League. Rog and Rory are back to break down a wild FA Cup weekend and the latest Premier League chaos. Jack welcomes Billie from the When The Whistle Blows podcast back to the show to reflect on the current doom spiralling at Tottenham Hotspur. With board neglect, mounting injuries, and a general feeling that the universe is conspiring against us, we try to find a reason to remain hopeful. We ask if the fans are now the last bastion keeping the club in the Premier League. The pair explore the heavy emotional toll of constantly rallying behind a team that has let the supporters down so often over the past couple of years, and discuss how we can possibly muster the energy to keep going when times are this tricky. Billie also touches on a fascinating conversation he recently had with renowned journalist Henry Winter on Last Word on Spurs alongside Ricky Sacks. We discuss how disarming, yet incredibly validating, it was to have somebody with such vast footballing knowledge from outside the Tottenham bubble notice the exact same structural failings that Spurs fans have been screaming about. Finally, attention turns to the Champions League and the upcoming clash with Atletico Madrid. Despite the sad reality that this could be the last game Spurs play in Europe's elite competition for quite some time, we debate whether the fixture simply feels like an unwelcome distraction from the terrifying and all-consuming threat of domestic relegation. North London was painted red and blue as Palace secured a sensational 3-1 victory, leaving Spurs in total disarray. Despite a controversial VAR decision denying Ismaïla Sarr an early opener and Dominic Solanke giving the hosts a lead, the game flipped in a chaotic ten-minute "implosion" for Spurs. Micky van de Ven's red card for hauling down Sarr opened the floodgates, allowing the Eagles to net three times before the half-time whistle. We're breaking down a tactical masterclass that secured Palace's first-ever back-to-back away league wins at the TottenhamHotspur Stadium.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/holmesdaleradio. The "Spursy" hoodoo continues for the hosts as Palace secured a sensational 3-1 victory in North London, piling more misery on a Tottenham side that hasn't beaten the Eagles in the league for over a year. Despite missing half a dozen key starters and losing the lead early to an early strike, Oliver Glasner's men showed incredible character to roar back. Hello and welcome to the Spurs News podcast episode 298 ... can you believe I have made 298 of these and I am still no good at it!? Amazing right... I am so inept at what I do I could work for Spurs... Anyway on the show we discuss all the latest fun from the world of Tottenham Hotspur... and we look ahead to the games this week and the ten remaining league fixtures. It is simple, ten games to save our football club.... COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Richard Cracknell and Billie T as a second-half fightback fell short as we suffered another Premier League defeat with Fulham taking the points on Sunday. We discuss the nature of the defeat, if we can see any benefits whatsoever so far what Igor Tudor is trying to implement and Spurs being in this seemingly endless battle with VAR and Premier League officiating, and fans may have genuine cause for frustration with the decision to award Harry Wilson's opening goal. The Cottagers should have been out of sight as they missed a number of good chances, allowing us to get a foothold in the match when Richarlison came off the bench to pull a goal back mid-way through the second period. We battled for a much-needed equaliser but couldn't find the goal we craved to suffer a third straight defeat at Craven Cottage, while the result means we haven't won in 10 Premier League games now. Defeats this weekend for all the teams around us towards the bottom of the table mean we remain four points outside of the relegation zone.
