The panel return on this edition to discuss Tottenham Hotspur closing in on the signings of Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, with both deals now agreed in principle as Roberto De Zerbi's rebuild gathers pace in North London. We also reflect on the news that Tottenham Hotspur have ‘pulled out' of the race to sign Joao Palhinha. Spurs' buy option expires on Monday, and Sporting CP are moving ahead with the deal. Talks with Bayern Munich are expected to follow. Palhinha impressed on loan at Spurs and has expressed a desire to stay, with the London club holding a €30 million purchase option. Sporting want to bring the 30-year-old back to Lisbon, where he began his career. The midfielder is willing to take a significant pay cut to rejoin his boyhood club, and a broad understanding with the player is said to be in place. A new loan move for Luka Vuskovic to Hamburger SV is apparently not a current option avaliable. The Croatian has two options: Long-term contract extension with high salary. A move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Talks are ongoing over the player's future. Luka Vuskovic has revealed his Tottenham future will not be decided until after the World Cup. We discuss what the best next step is for the youngster. Tottenham Hotspur are expected to strengthen their attack this summer, and a new report suggests that Marcus Rashford could become an option. Spurs have reportedly shown interest in signing Marcus Rashford this summer after a 28-goal contribution season with Barcelona, during which he scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists. We debate whether the Club could entice him into coming to the club and whether Spurs can get the best out of him. Finally we close on the news that Spurs have launched an internal review into last season. An internal review has been ongoing since the appointment of Dan Lewindon as Performance Director from Manchester City. This comes after he found significant challenges within Spurs. He joined the Club one day before Thomas Frank was sacked. We reflect on whether the Club will take the learnings from last season and put them into action in both the upcoming window in addition to decisions made both off/on the pitch. Following a crazy last 24 hours around Tottenham Hotspur we return with an improtu edition as Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal with Scotland full-back Andy Robertson following his departure from Liverpool. Details remain to be finalised on the deal with Spurs but an agreement is in place in principle. We also reflect on the news that Manchester City have initiated contact to re-sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro, with the interest being deemed ‘genuine' from the Manchester Club. We discuss with City's interest in a Spurs player, with this could be entwined with Tottenham rekindling their interest in long-term target Savinho. We close on Club statements from Tottenham chief executive Vinai Venkatesham, who says the summer transfer window is “critical” if the club are to undergo a “complete reset” after securing Premier League survival. Meanwhile, Tottenham's owners the Lewis family published a statement on Wednesday in which they promised to "rebuild" and "recapture the spirit" of the club, while acknowledging that a repeat of this season "must never happen again". Host Ricky Sacks and Co-Host Billie T are joined by Tottenham Hotspur Correspondent Alasdair Gold, as we look back at the past 10 months since Alasdair was last on the show with us. Before the opening game of the season, Thomas Frank declared he wanted Spurs to be competitive in multiple competitions. By the final day, It was Roberto De Zerbi who saved Tottenham Hotspur from total humiliation. This was a season when years of mismanagement and drift caught up with Spurs. It was a disaster and the club must ensure it does not happen again. Daniel Levy was removed from his position as chairman after nearly 25 years in charge. Frank was spotted drinking from a coffee cup that had Arsenal's badge on it. Frank ended up being sacked the following month and replaced by Igor Tudor, who lasted only 44 days before Roberto De Zerbi took over. Spurs only won three games at home and suffered 17 defeats in total. At times it felt like the drama was never-ending. On this show with Alasdair we break-down the campaign just gone and what led us to Roberto De Zerbi completing the most unlikeliest of final-day great escapes. We're joined by Anatole Pang to dig into what's really happening behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Daniel Levy and the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi. We talk about the club's restructure, the role of the Lewis family, the significance of the Gibb River review, and whether Spurs have abandoned the modern football model to build around one coach. We also discuss Peter Charrington's statement to fans, ownership responsibility, governance, recruitment, leadership vacuums and whether Tottenham finally have a proper football structure in place… or whether we're simply witnessing another reset dressed up as revolution. West Ham have been relegated from the Premier League and the inquest has already begun. Nuno Espirito Santo has been in charge since September, but couldn't do enough to keep the Hammers up. Tottenham Hotspur have once again survived after another dismal season - but there remain questions over quality and loyalty. Plus, Bruno Fernandes has broken an assist record in the Premier League, but should it have counted... The Premier League is finished for the 2025/2026 season. Tottenham Hotspur have held on to their position in the EPL for another season, scraping just by in seventeenth place as West Ham United are subject to relegation for the first time since 2011. Fourteen straight seasons in the top flight sees the London club with a stadium capacity of over sixty thousand pushed down to the EFL Championship. Burno Fernandez notched his 21st assist of the season, making him the all time single season leader in assists; though not without controversy. Finally, Arsenal's season is not yet done as they will face off against French champions PSG in the UEFA Champion's League final on Saturday. Will the Gunners be able to dethrone the holders? A season of pain, frustration and anguish ended on a real positive on Sunday afternoon, as we picked up a monumentally important win over Everton on the final day of the campaign to preserve our Premier League status, thanks to Joao Palhinha's goal. We discussed the importance of the club surviving relegation, the lessons which must be learnt and the role in which fans played throughout the season to ensure the Club remained in the top-flight. The panel also reflected on Roberto De Zerbi pulling off a ‘great escape, as make no mistake, Tottenham were heading down when De Zerbi took over. Spurs had taken 1 point from their 7 seven league games, the players looked dead and buried. De Zerbi built the team back up, with tactics, good coaching, man-management despite a plethora of injuries. A job that nobody wanted and yet he made it work. We close on what the future truly looks like for Spurs and whether there is genuine hope in what looked like a very dark tunnel for the majority of the season for Spurs. Everton's season ends in a frustrating slump. In this latest edition of the Royal Blue Podcast, Chris Beesley and Joe Thomas reflect on the final game of the season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. While Everton's Premier League future wasn't on the line this year, a straight shootout between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United saw Everton fail to make Spurs work for their safety. The lads break down the tactical frustrations, David Moyes' setup, Jake O'Brien continually being forced out of position at right-back, and how Sunderland's massive leapfrog has fundamentally changed the mood of the Everton fanbase. What went wrong in these crucial final seven weeks, and how must the club address these glaring squad issues in a massive upcoming summer transfer window? #efc #EvertonFootballClub #EvertonFC Everton FC podcasts from the Liverpool ECHO's Royal Blue YouTube channel. We're back for our final preview of the season as the panel assemble to discuss Tottenham Hotspur's relegation shoot-out fixture against Everton on the final day of the Premier League. Tottenham only need a draw to make this all go away. Everton are winless in six and are playing for nothing but pride. To even be in this situation is still hard to process, but we're here. There are 9 possible outcomes on Sunday. Only one sends us down, we discuss the mental impact of the season on us all and the importance of Spurs continuing to play top-flight football. Roberto De Zerbi personally requested a coach meet to take place ahead of our final game of the season on Sunday, as we welcome Everton to N17, we debate whether or not this is the right decision and if this will help galvanise and lift the team before the game. We discuss the impact of captain Cristian Romero's absence from the stands, as his agent Ciro Palermo claims that despite heavy speculation, the Argentine will not be attending Belgrano's match in Argentina on Sunday and nor will his client be present at Spurs' final game of the Premier League season on Sunday against Everton, to support the team. Roberto De Zerbi defended Cristian Romero's decision to return to Argentina ahead of his side's crucial final-day Premier League match against Everton — but says he “100 per cent” understands fans' anger over his decision to miss the game. The panel also react to the developing story Sebastian Kehl is expected to join Tottenham Hotspur as their new sporting director pending confirmation of Premier League safety, according to Sky Sports. We finally close on all the team news ahead of the game and where the match will be won or lost, ahead of the Club's biggest ever league game in their recent modern history. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Compère Richard Cracknell, Actor Darren Hart and Billie T as defeat to Chelsea meant our battle against relegation will go right down to the final day after a 2-1 defeat to at Stamford Bridge means we failed to pick up the point we needed to all but guarantee Premier League safety. Going into the game at Stamford Bridge two points ahead of West Ham United and with a much better goal difference, we knew one draw from our final two matches against Chelsea and Everton would pretty much do the job, we discuss with the guys the phycological pressure going into the final day, playing at home, where we have only won two league games all season. We discuss our concerns of both where the goals are coming from, and the nature of how we are conceding goals from continuous individual errors. The panel also reflect on the bonkers moment towards the end of the game, where Cucurella dragged Micky van de Ven to the ground and was booked. Spurs were stunned not to get a penalty but referee Stuart Attwell claimed to have blown the whistle before Mathys Tel's corner was taken. Liam Delap was then booked for blatant elbow. James Maddison was livid and lambasted the referee immediately after the full time whistle, closely followed by Roberto De Zerbi who also wasn't happy. It lead us into the conversation as to whether we feel Spurs are being refereed differently to other teams this season. We close on Roberto De Zerbi's rallying cry where he stated ‘Sunday is the final for Tottenham. Not Bilbao against Manchester United. The most important game is Sunday. Now we play for something more than a trophy. This is for the pride of the club and its history.' We question whether De Zerbi can pull-off the great escape despite all the imitigating factors he has been up against since the second he accepted the Spurs job. Roberto De Zerbi's side go into the final two games knowing that their destiny is under their own control. Griffin Warner talks betting for Tuesday. Griffin Warner is back with one of the bigger Tuesday episodes of the What I Bet season on the Pregame.com Straight Outta Vegas AM podcast, opening fresh off a dramatic Montreal Canadiens overtime win over the Buffalo Sabres in Game 7 of the second round before pivoting immediately to two English Premier League plays and then ripping through the entire Major League Baseball slate with opinionated, number-driven analysis that covers side leans, total plays, home underdog angles, and situational edges from first pitch to last out, closing with a New York Yankees moneyline best bet over the Toronto Blue Jays that caps another lean-loaded episode, and the action begins in the EPL where Warner identifies Bournemouth as a three-quarter goal home underdog against Manchester City with a meaningful rest edge — Bournemouth sat out the FA Cup Final weekend while City had to grind — and follows that with a Tottenham Hotspur plus half-goal lean at a Chelsea side he describes as a cycling disaster that sacks capable managers and replaces them with unproven ones every season, before shifting to baseball where Martín Pérez pitching as a road favorite for Atlanta draws skepticism and Miami home underdog Braxton Garrett draws interest in his return from Tommy John surgery, Chase Burns gets a strong lean as one of the best young arms in baseball against a Phillies rotation missing Kyle Schwarber, the Cleveland Guardians' under at Detroit Comerica Park becomes the most confident total lean of the night with Parker Messick in strong form and Keider Montero coming off his worst start of the year, Tampa Bay gets the nod at home over Baltimore's Kyle Bradish based on the Rays' relentless offensive production at Tropicana Field, Jacob Misiorowski's brilliance for the road Brewers does not outweigh Warner's affection for Ben Brown as a Cubs home underdog at Wrigley, Ranger Suárez on a scoreless roll creates a Boston lean despite reserved trust in Kansas City's Bailey Falter fresh off the injured list, Lance McCullers Jr. pitching for a quietly rebuilding Houston squad draws skepticism against a Minnesota lineup that has been productive, Kumar Rocker at Coors Field gets a lean to the over on the ten-and-a-half total given Denver heat conditions, the White Sox get plus money respect with Anthony Kay facing a returning Bryce Miller in Seattle, and after all of it Warner lands on the Yankees at minus-132 as the official What I Bet Best Bet, trusting New York's bullpen superiority and Will Warren's consistency over the risk of relying on Dylan Cease to go the distance in the Bronx, make sure you visit Pregame.com and use promo code PICK25 to get savings on picks, packages, and all-access passes from Griffin Warner and every pro on the network, and subscribe to the Straight Outta Vegas AM podcast wherever you stream so you never miss a What I Bet drop. 1-0, to the Arsenal... the famous song was sung loud and proud at the Emirates, as Arsenal beat already relegated Burnley thanks to Kai Havertz's first half header. It was another goal from a set-piece, and moved Arsenal five points clear at the top of the Premier League - with just one game to go. Manchester City's game in hand sees them head to Bournemouth tonight, knowing that anything but a victory will see Mikel Arteta's side crowned Premier League champions. But, the build up to the match has been overshadowed by the news that Pep Guardiola is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season. Two seismic stories, so who better than host Angelina Kelly and talkSPORT's Chief Football Correspondent, Alex Crook, to bring you the best reaction and insight as the Premier League nears its conclusion. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Billie T, George Achillea and Ian Lubin as the panel react to West Ham United's defeat to Newcastle United, meaning Tottenham needing just a draw from their final two games to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Spurs are two points above the Hammers and with a far superior goal-difference, are likely to stay up if they as long as they avoid defeat against just one of Chelsea or Everton. We discuss how Roberto De Zerbi has nearly masterminded the great-escape and why Tottenham Hotspur can never, ever afford to be in this position ever again in a severe warning to ENIC and The Lewis Family for the Club is being run both on and off the pitch. The panel discuss comments from former Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld who says it's been ‘painful' watching Tottenham Hotspur's battle to stay in the Premier League, a club that's he says should ‘not be fighting relegation' and would jump at the chance to go back to Spurs in a strategic role. Danny Rohl has confirmed that Rangers will work on re-signing Mikey Moore this summer, we discuss what the future holds for Moore and whether another loan would be beneficial to him at this stage of his development. We finally close on our thoughts going into Chelsea, Spurs have won just one solitary game in the Premier League era at that West London ground. It came in 2018 during the peak Mauricio Pochettino years, with Dele Alli scoring twice after Christian Eriksen's stunner from 25 yards had cancelled out Alvaro Morata's strike. We discuss the fitness of James Maddison, who has recorded five goal involvements in 13 games against Chelsea in the Premier League so he knows how to hurt the Blues. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Patrick Tyrant and Brendan McGerty as we discuss the state of play around Spurs' battle to survive in the Premier League. The panel react to fresh speculation that Micky Van De Ven is expected to stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer should relegation be avoided, with Spurs not actively looking to sell and Van De Ven understood to be happy under Roberto De Zerbi. We refect on James Maddison claiming officials are “petrified” to make decisions after being denied a stoppage-time penalty against Leeds and whether we do genuinely feel there has been any kind of agenda against Spurs this season from referees. Daniel Levy has spoken out for the first time since leaving Tottenham, we react to his comments in which he says he is 'praying everyday' Spurs retain their Premier League status. We close on the news that Mayor Of London Sadiq Khan, has suggested to non-Spurs supporters that Tottenham being relegated would be in the best interests of Londoners, and what impact the wider footballing world is having on enjoying seeing us in the position we are in. Hello everyone and welcome to the latest episode of our weekly podcast where we discuss all things Tottenham Hotspur... blah blah ... look, I am sorry... please lower your expectations for the show this week, and by low I mean subterranean... I was not feeling it, not in a great head space and I think... THINK that comes across. One thing worse than podcasting sounding depressed is editing a podcast where you sound depressed... this has not been fun... so look, please give me a pass this week and I will try and make it up to you next week honest... OH and for anyone who did wonder; the two film clips in the special intro two weeks ago was Avengers and....... Ghostbusters.... WE GOT ONE!!! .... Ghostbusters... honestly how did nobody get that.
In this week's episode of the Inside Elland Road podcast co-host Chris O'Connor joins YEP chief football writer Graham Smyth to celebrate Leeds United's safety from relegation. The pair discuss Leeds' 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur, the controversy in that game in both penalty areas and the Whites' need to get Ethan Ampadu on a new contract. There's also a Brighton preview and the chance to win two tickets to Sunday's game, along with a signed Leeds home shirt.

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Actor Darren Hart, Luke and Marlon as a drama-filled evening finished all square on Monday as we picked up what could prove to be an important point in our battle against relegation, although we were frustrated not to have taken more on the night. Having seen West Ham United lose on Sunday, we knew a victory would be a massive step towards survival and gave it a real go against Leeds United, with Mathys Tel scoring a stunning opener after a goalless first half. But we were pegged back 16 minutes from time when the visitors were awarded a penalty which Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted. We discuss a game in which both sides had plenty of chances throughout the game, Antonin Kinsky making two world-class saves while Joao Palhinha, Pedro Porro, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur also going close for us. The result continues our long run without a win in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but it's now four games unbeaten going into the final two matches of the season, as as debate whether Spurs will remain in the Premier League at the expense of West Ham United. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Billie T and Ash as West Ham losing 1-0 at home to Arsenal, means that they remain one point behind Tottenham Hotspur having played a game more, in the battle to remain in the Premier League. Leeds and Nottingham Forest are now safe, as we build-up to our fixture against The Whites as we discuss the type of Leeds side we are going to face, following confirmation of their Premier League status for another season. We reflect on our horrific home-form and whether De Zerbi can transform this in time and what the future of several players look like, should Spurs complete what looked like a very unlikely great escape at one point under the Italian boss. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Sports & Entertainment Financial Planner and regular contributor Adam Osper along with returning guest Kieran Maguire who is a British academic, author, and broadcaster. Kieran specialises in the finances of association football and wrote the book The Price of Football and also is a co-host of the podcast alongside comedian Kevin Day. We discuss the importance of survival for Tottenham Hotspur on the back of a week which has seen the Club record back-to-back wins for the first time since the opening fortnight of the Premier League season. We reflect on just how much Daniel Levy's legacy hangs over the Club and whether The Lewis Family's decision to remove him without a contingency plan was one of the biggest mistakes of the season, despite the growing fan un-rest towards him personally. We debate the true cost of relegation for Spurs this season and how and why it could ultimately effect them for years to come. Pre-planning is also raised on what that looks like now, on the back of the news that Tottenham are ready to offer Luka Vuskovic a bumper new contract. Spurs director of football Johan Lange has reportedly travelled over to Hamburg recently to speak with Vuskovic about his future in North London. Spurs are also reportedly interested in goalkeepers James Trafford and Bart Verbruggen, with Guglielmo Vicario expected to join Inter. Meanwhile one of Cristian Romero or Micky Van de Ven could leave, while Radu Drăgușin may be sold, opening a pathway for Vuskovic into the first-team. Adam also touches upon his theory of Spurs having free deals in place for Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi if they stay up, as Kieran predicts in a year's time whether he will be reviewing another set of financial accounts with The Lewis Family still at the helm of the football club and what any sale or takeover could like for Tottenham Hotspur. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Luke and Marlon as first-half goals from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison coupled with a magnificent team performance saw us record a vital victory at Aston Villa to move out of the drop zone. We discuss the manner of the win, with to a man, the players being outstanding, Gallagher in particular covering every blade of grass after opening his account for us with a precision strike from distance as we won the vast majority of our duels, kept possession well and closed Villa down quickly whenever they had the ball, blocking shots and crosses and making tackles with fight and determination as he picked up the Player Of The Match award. Richarlison's powerful header on 25 minutes gave us a cushion and from there we controlled the game for the most part, Villa only grabbing a consolation in the dying seconds when substitute Emi Buendia headed into the top corner for his third goal in as many games against us this term – their first effort on target. It was a minor blot on our copybook, though, as we made it back-to-back league wins for the first time since the start of the season to move a point above West Ham in the final relegation spot with three games remaining. We discuss the transformation in which Roberto De Zerbi is performing and whether we genuinely believe he will now lead us to a Great Escape preserve our Premier League status. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Gary Ward and Ash as we discuss the injury nightmare surrounding Tottenham Hotspur at present. Doubt has been cast over Dominic Solanke's involvement in Tottenham Hotspur's crucial Premier League run-in because of the hamstring injury he suffered against Wolverhampton Wanderers that's in addition to Spurs already losing Xavi Simons for the remainder of the season and speculation building that Kolo Muani also still remains doubtful for the Premier League clash against Villa, despite reports suggesting he suffered a hamstring injury believed to be wide of the mark. There had been some suggestions Muani would miss a few weeks due to a hamstring issue, but it is understood that the Tottenham attacker trained ahead of the game, with Roberto De Zerbi to provide an update in due course. We discuss our concerns around the treatment of players, the role the Medical Department, Spurs' pitch and other contributing factors which have led to the number and frequency of injuries the Club have had in the last 2-3 years. We close on whether Roberto De Zerbi, despite averaging one season-ending injury per week since he joined Tottenham at the moment, can pull-off on the greatest ever escape jobs in the history of the Premier League. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by George Achillea, Billie T and Ian Lubin as the panel react to the news that Xavi Simons has torn his ACL and will be out for the rest of the season with Tottenham. Simons became the fifth Tottenham player to pick up an ACL or knee injury to keep them out for 12 months since February 2025. We discuss our genuine concerns and delve deeper into the injury crisis that is surrounding Tottenham Hotspur. We also debate whether the home pitch and training pictures are factor in addition to the rehabilitation protocol the players are instructed to go through from the Medical Staff at the Club. Of course the conversation naturally turns to what this does in our battle to remain in the Premier League and whether Roberto De Zerbi can perform one of the best ever Premier League ‘Great Escapes' given the limited numbers at his disposal and games running out to save Spurs. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Jason McGovern and Marlon as our first Premier League win of 2026 arrived at Molineux on Saturday thanks to Joao Palhinha's late goal. The panel discuss what a huge goal it might prove to be in our fight against relegation. The midfielder stepped off the bench to convert from close range with eight minutes remaining to score the only goal of a tense and scrappy game against Wolverhampton Wanderers and give us a massive confidence boost ahead of our remaining four matches. We also reflect on a stunning last-gasp save from Antonin Kinsky to keep out Joao Gomes' free-kick in the dying seconds to ensure victory – one that was so important considering all the teams above us all won as well. It means we remain third from bottom, but this could be the start of our revival. We finally reflect on the concerning injuries to both Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons and the consistent pattern of injuries we seem to be occurring in addition to touching on the refereeing decisions happening both during our games and elsewhere.
