On your marks, get set, go! In this episode of 90s Disney, AJ, Mike, and Chris are racing through the magical history of runDisney, Disney's official long-distance running series. If you are starting 2025 with a visit to Walt Disney World, here is what you can expect from the weather and special events that will affect what you should pack and wear for your Disney vacation. How to Dress for January Weather at Walt Disney WorldJanuary 2025 Weather in Orlando will be on the Cooler Side, but Not Too Cold Most DaysJanuary at Walt Disney World is a month that is typically not very hot, at least in terms of Florida weather. It is the middle of winter after all. However, if you're traveling to Walt Disney World in January 2025, it is looking like it's going to be a pretty good month in terms of weather as it applies to visiting theme parks and doing other Disney things. Special events at Disney World in January might impact your vacation depending on where you're staying and what you plan to do. Take note that the Walt Disney World Marathon runs from January 8 to 12, 2025 and the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts takes place from January 10 to February 17, 2025. The marathon in particular can cause travel disruptions onsite, so be sure to check for more information about that, if you plan to visit Disney World that weekend.Weather Forecast for Walt Disney World in January 2025The forecast for January 2025 at Walt Disney World is pretty good for a typical January. The forecast is very similar to the pleasant December that just took place and should be good for a winter vacation to Walt Disney World. Yes, it's cool, but most days are not downright cold, making them pleasant for being out and about. For January 2025, Orlando and Walt Disney World daytime highs are forecast to range from 54°F (12°C) to 73°F (23°C), while nighttime lows will hover around 48°F (9°C) to 64°F (18°C). Almost all days, however, will be in the low 70s°F or upper 60s°F.On a positive note, there is very little rain forecast for Disney World in January 2025, so that is a bonus for your vacation. As always in Orlando, however, be prepared for at least one errant pop-up shower just for good measure. What to Pack for Walt Disney World in January 2025While the Christmas holiday season will extend for a few days into January, packing for a January Walt Disney World vacation does not include festive wear.If you are a shorts and t-shirts person (or any of the top five most common outfits for Disney Parks), these should be fine for daytime in January. Otherwise, pants or leggings and a long-sleeve top or light jacket will do just fine. If you plan to spend time outdoors at night, then a hoodie or light jacket is a good thing to bring along. Sometimes it can be windy in the parks at night and that adds a bit of a bite.If you plan to visit the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, feel free to get inspired with a themed outfit for the occasion.Watch for the biggest crowds during the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. There are six races in total and with road closures and so on, it can be a challenge even getting out of your hotel. Check ahead and be prepared, because if you have an early flight that weekend and you are staying at a hotel on a marathon route you could miss your flight if you don't plan for the delays. All in January, January 2025 is looking to be a great month for a Disney vacation. As always, check the weather forecast for Orlando on a local Orlando weather media outlet the day before you leave for your vacation. That will give you the most up-to-date and accurate vacation forecast.Contact 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Disney Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original Disney-inspired clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies, yoga leggings, dresses, swimwear and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.Thank you for listening and have a magical day!Mike Belobradic and Amelia Belobradic--Media provided by Jamendo

Standing side by side with the Pease brothers, Kyle and Brent, whose story of resilience and unity in the face of cerebral palsy has reshaped the contours of our spirits, we were reminded that the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is more than just a race; it's a vibrant celebration of human potential. Within this episode, we're sharing the heart-tugging narratives of those who traversed the marathon's magical miles, including the emotional encounters with participants like William, who shed over 200 pounds to cross the finish line, and Glenn who returned to running post-brain surgery. The power of these stories lies not just in the triumphs, but in the transformative journeys that led each runner to the starting line.Weather may have rolled in with a plan of its own, but the runDisney community's spirit remained unshakable. We recount how a rainy half marathon day, reminiscent of a past half marathon's cancellation, became a testament to the unyielding support amongst runners, volunteers, and staff. The joyous defiance against the elements shone through as we reminisced about impromptu rain dances and finish line celebrations. We share a little behind-the-scenes look at weather contingencies, revealing the delicate balance of safety and sentiment that guides such challenging decisions.Wrapping up our marathon recap, laughter bubbles to the surface as we recount the light-hearted moments that punctuate the intensity of race weekends. From Carissa's punchy commentary that left an imprint of humor on the runners, to the playful naming of the anthem-singing Dapper Dans, we're embracing the full spectrum of marathon weekend experiences. If this is something that might affect you, we've got some details you may need about the changes happening this year.  Posts that might be helpful: REAL Bathrooms on the Disneyland Half Marathon Course: https://noguiltdisney.com/bathrooms-on-the-disneyland-half-marathon-course/ Real Bathrooms On The 2024 runDisney Marathon Course: https://noguiltdisney.com/bathrooms-on-the-rundisney-marathon-course/ UPDATES! 2024 Disneyland Half Marathon Course Maps, Event Guide and More!: https://noguiltdisney.com/2024-disneyland-half-marathon-course-maps-event-guide/ UPDATED!  2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Course Maps, Corrals, Event Guide and More!: https://noguiltdisney.com/2024-walt-disney-world-marathon-course-maps-corrals-event-guide/ Ultimate runDisney Packing List For the Dopey Challenge: https://noguiltdisney.com/ultimate-rundisney-packing-list Beginner's Guide to runDisney: https://noguiltdisney.com/beginners-guide-to-rundisney/   Find the No-Guilt Disney Team –> No-Guilt Disney on YouTube –> No-Guilt Disney on Facebook Contact us by email at noguiltdisneypod@gmail.com or find us on socials: Patty noguiltdisney.com noguiltfangirl.com noguiltlife.com Theresa insightfulllife.com @gertiethedino on Twitter @accessibleinfluence on Instagram Jane @realmousewifewdw on Instagram @wisteriajaneofficial on Instagram Wisteria Jane on YouTube wisteriajaneofficial.com Music from https://filmmusic.io “Vivacity” by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com) License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)

Here we have part two of our lively conversation with Creigh Kelley, someone who is synonymous with running in Denver and well beyond. Starting a few years before I arrived in the Mile High City more than 40 years ago, this graduate of Virginia Military Institute, Vietnam War Army veteran (where he was awarded two Bronze Stars), Colorado Running Hall of Famer, and Road Race Management Lifetime Achievement Award recipient has directed more than 1000 races through his company BKB Ltd. Creigh has been the start/finish line voice of hundreds of races, including the Walt Disney World Marathon races, the Chicago Marathon, four Olympic Trials Marathons, the Cherry Blossom 10-miler in DC, which he just got back from, the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, the Hospital Hill Run in KC, and been a TV analyst for track and field and the triathlon at the Sydney Olympic Games. Let's add a little more. He's also been an agent to elite runners, helped found Running USA, and is currently the race director for the Colfax Marathon, which is Denver's only marathon, and also includes two days of races and relays of varying distances. In this week's episode, we talk about how racing evolved from its primitive days to its current state, including the inclusion of women, the rise of swag and giant medals, how he started his race management company, our opinions of novelty events like bubble runs, where the sport is heading, his impressive work with the Kipture Primary School Foundation in Kenya, and much more.GoFundMe to buy a new racing chair for Julia Beckley.  Thank you!http://bit.ly/3ZGigAbCreigh KelleyCreigh@runcolfax.orgFacebook and LinkedIn Creigh KelleyInstagram @creighvmiBill Stahlsilly_billy@msn.comFacebook Bill StahlInstagram @stahlor

Meet Melia Garza. She did whatever she could to avoid running. And now she is a running coach. Melia Garza (she/her) is the owner and coach at Journey to Run. During and after college, Melia found herself wanting to be a runner but struggled. It wasn't until Melia was in her 30s and joined Team in Training of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that she started to see success. With the knowledge and support of running coaches, Melia's journey to run has taken her to the start and finish lines of 5ks to marathons. Melia also built her own knowledge of all things running and had the opportunity to coach runners with Team in Training for the 2020 Walt Disney World Marathon events. In October 2020, Melia became a certified running coach through the Road Runners Club of America and in April 2022, officially launched her own coaching business Journey to Run. As a coach, Melia's goal is to help current and aspiring athletes write the next (or first) chapter in their own journey to run and achieve things they never dreamed possible. Melia also strives to make the running community more inclusive and openly extends an invitation to anyone who hasn't felt welcomed or represented in the running community in the past. Journey to Run's Running is For Everyone program is designed to bring the larger community together to help make running with the help of a certified running coach accessible for individuals who are experiencing financial hardship. Fun facts about Melia: She love dogs and foster them through a local rescue organization. They occasionally drop in to say hello during coaching consultations. She has  been vegan (no animal derived products) for more than 10 years. And she is a first generation college graduate. In this episode, we talk about how she started running as a non runner and her experience with  Disney Marathon 2020 right before the pandemic hit!CONNECT WITH MELIAWEBSITEINSTAGRAMIf you like this episode, please be sure to check out Season 3 Women's Running Series at https://ella-go.com/listen

Episode 10 - Reimagine DinoLand USA Social media Disney-influencer Showcase of Wishes (@ShowcaseWishes on Twitter) challenged the DisneySpace Duo to kick off 2022 by reimagining Dinoland USA of Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. Primeval Whirl has been dismantled. The writing is seemingly on the wall for The Dino Institute. This space is ready for attention. Mark and Jeff first discuss the latest WDW news topics ranging from Star Wars lightsaber bags to the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. For DinoLand, Jeff challenges to bring in an Indiana Jones influence into the area, and even entertains the notion of creating a Zootopia themed space in the park, much like what is being built today at Shanghai Disneyland. Each of these ideas strikes fascinating side conversations about what brings relevance to Animal Kingdom while satisfying guests' typical expectations. Mark decides to scrap DinoLand almost entirely and build something quite grand in celebration of South America, setting a new spectacular corner of the world in Animal Kingdom - and borrows something quite unique from faraway Singapore to pull it off in a big way. The Belle Vue Lounge can be found kind of tucked away in the main building of Disney's Boardwalk Inn, not a very long stroll from the lobby. It's normally a quiet place to relax and recap your day, but on this night it was a little packed due to the fact that the Walt Disney World Marathon was the next morning and the resorts were quite crowded. On this episode, my friend Johnny Shortsleeve and I talk about all of the fantastic lounges in Walt Disney World while lounging in one of those lounges ourselves! Stories are told, laughs are had, and tangents are gone off on! This one was a lot of fun!
