Circle of Parks Podcast: Talking all things Walt Disney World
The countdown is on—just four days until our family's epic Walt Disney World adventure begins! After months of anticipation, we're pulling back the curtain on our meticulously crafted vacation strategy that balances maximum fun with minimal stress. Our journey starts with a strategic overnight in Atlanta before heading to Blizzard Beach on arrival day. We're excited to experience both Disney water parks across different trips, having conquered Typhoon Lagoon last year. This time, we're staying at Coronado Springs' Grand Destino Tower, where we'll celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary at Three Bridges Bar & Grill overlooking the resort's beautiful lake. One major change this trip? We're abandoning our traditional rope-drop routine! After years of early morning park rushes, we're embracing a more relaxed approach with Disney's new multi-pass system. At over $700 for our family, it's a significant investment we'll be evaluating throughout our stay. Is the convenience worth the premium price? We'll be reporting back! Each park day has been thoughtfully planned: Epcot with extended World Showcase exploration (where our boys have finally developed an appreciation for international experiences), Hollywood Studios with substantial time in Galaxy's Edge and catching the new Little Mermaid show, Animal Kingdom's safari adventures, and a perfectly-paced Magic Kingdom finale. We've incorporated strategic rest days, including pool time and a split day where half of us will venture to Universal while the others enjoy a character breakfast and resort exploration. The Disney Dining Plan adds another dimension to our experience. Is it truly the value proposition Disney promises? We'll be conducting live dining reviews throughout our trip at spots like Connections Eatery, La Cantina de San Angel, and Flame Tree Barbecue to find out! After our park adventures, we're capping the vacation with four blissful days at Disney's Vero Beach Resort—the perfect blend of Disney magic and coastal relaxation.Whether you're planning your own Disney getaway or simply enjoy vicarious vacation thrills, join us as we navigate the parks with insider knowledge gained from multiple trips. We're excited to share what works, what doesn't, and how our Disney strategy continues to evolve! Please Check Out Our Links Below: Our Sponsor:www.travelplannererica.com Email Us:circleofparks@gmail.com Our Website:www.circleofparks.com Facebook:www.facebook.com/circleofparks Instagram:www.instagram.com/circleofparks X:www.x.com/circleofparks Ad Music:Carefree Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Music promoted on https://www.chosic.com/free-music/all/Send us a textSupport the show
What if you could relive the magic of all four Walt Disney World parks—without a park ticket, without standing in line, and yes, without leaving your dinner table? This week, Stephen is pitching a dazzling new experience that's part dinner show, part skating spectacular, and all Disney magic. Think parade floats gliding across ice, a cameo from the Disco Yeti, and a nighttime finale that just might rival Happily Ever After. From Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom, this idea fuses nostalgia, camp, and smart logistics into something that could genuinely expand the Walt Disney World experience.Marissa's in the co-host seat this week as the duo unpacks the inspiration behind the concept, the challenges of expanding Blizzard Beach, and the deliciously over-the-top moments that just had to be included. Is it campy? Absolutely. Is it brilliant? You tell us.Send us a textSupport the showDon't forget to check us out on Instagram and our website!

In this episode, we dive into the history and exciting (hopeful) future of the Disney Skyliner. The Skyliner currently serves four resorts and two theme parks at Walt Disney World. Inspired by the original Skyway gondola system that once connected Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, the Skyliner combines nostalgia with modern innovation. Each gondola features designs with beloved Disney characters, adding an extra touch of magic to the transportation experience. With the help of Johnny J from the DMSW Podcast, we're thrilled to unveil a new extension and update to the Skyliner. This expansion aims to enhance the transportation system while adding immersive and interactive experiences, similar to the Hogwarts Express at Universal. Redesigned Skyliner cabins will feature state-of-the-art screens displaying themed visuals and character interactions, making the ride an attraction in itself. We're also introducing air conditioning and solar panels to ensure comfort and eco-friendliness. This new line will connect six additional locations, including Galaxy's Edge, Blizzard Beach, All-Star Resorts, and Coronado Springs, each offering unique interactive experiences. Join us as we explore these exciting plans to transform the Disney Skyliner into a magical journey across Walt Disney World! We've even got commentary from Hannah of Learning the Magic Podcast!Follow our guests on Instagram:@thedmswpodcast & @hannahlearningthemagicProject Managers: Marissa & Johnny JDon't forget to check us out on Instagram and our brand new website!

Our first Disney vacation is in the books! This episode of the Soul Forge is a day by day recap of our exciting adventures. At the end of each day, Shawn and Leah sat down and recorded their memories of the excitement. Florida in September is still quite warm. Walt Disney World requires a lot of walking. Here is the story... The Walt Disney World Resort, also called Walt Disney World or Disney World, or simply abbreviated WDW, is an entertainment resort complex in Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States, near the cities of Orlando and Kissimmee. Opened on October 1, 1971, the resort is operated by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, a division of The Walt Disney Company. The property covers nearly 25,000 acres (39 sq mi; 101 km2), of which half has been used. The resort comprises four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom), two water parks: (Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon), 31 themed resort hotels, nine non-Disney hotels, several golf courses, a camping resort, and other entertainment venues, including the outdoor shopping center Disney Springs. Shawn and Leah tell you about the nightmare that was getting from their Washington layover into Orlando. The weather did not cooperate so the flight was quite late. One common thing on the entire adventure was the lack of comfort in the seating, both on the jets and the buses. The humidity was off the charts. One of the best parts of our first Disney vacation was visiting with friend Jarman and his wife Jolie. Shawn and Leah went to Icon Park where they rode the Wheel of Orlando. They also visited a wax museum and the Sea Life Aquarium. The Florida Mall still has an operating Sears store! The Disney Character Wearhouse was always busy. The food at most places was decent. The actual Disney part of the trip was exhausting due to so much walking and the heat. Fun parts include the ferry ride, the Skyliner, Toy Story Mania and Star Tours. The 50s Prime Time Cafe had wonderful food and ambience. We enjoyed Soarin' as well as Mickey's Runaway Railway rides. We got to see dolphins, lizards, manatees and a hammerhead shark. We were disappointed in Woody's Roundup BBQ and the lack of a direct route to Hollywood Springs from our hotel. Getting the park hopper option is a definite must. The Epcot food and wine festival was the favourite part of our first Disney vacation. This week's podcast promos: Earth Station One, Earth Station Who, Epsilon Three, and the ESO Patreon promo.
In the 167th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave reunite on the show, as she's returned from her long cruise away (only to leave next week too!). But in the meantime, they do a little catch up over the weeks, then dive into a bunch of random park news topics, including the opening of Minionland... the building of Dreamworks park area... the beginning of the Food & Wine Festival... the first night of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (and the sold-out days so far)... Disney Springs parking changes... and the Haunted Mansion closing--for two days. Plus the update on the updated Dining systems at Disney World and Disneyland. They do a little "will it open again" chat with various areas that haven't reopened yet, including Blizzard Beach and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Finally... Jenn saw a movie! They both had the chance to see Disney's latest live action film "The Haunted Mansion", and they both give their take on the movie -- what worked (lots of Easter Eggs) and maybe what didn't (might be a tad too dark).
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort opened at Walt Disney World in 1997 across from Disney's Blizzard Beach water park. Closely situated near Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, Coronado Springs includes 10 dining locations (Toledo, Maya Grill, Three Bridges, Rix Sports Bar, Barcelona Lounge, Dahlia Lounge and more) and an array of amenities, pools and recreation, and even the largest conference center at Walt Disney World. With outer buildings (casitas, ranchos, and cabanas) as well as the 2019 addition of Gran Destino Tower, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is perhaps the most versatile hotel on property with options ranging from standard moderate rooms to club-level presidential suites. In this podcast episode, we discuss the history and details of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, along with the many reasons you should consider staying here on your next Walt Disney World vacation.
