Crown Ignorant Kings — Reclaiming Truth, Authority, and the KingdomWhat if ignorance isn't an insult—but a wake-up call?In this unapologetically bold podcast, we challenge the misunderstood meaning of “ignorance” and uncover how misinformation, withheld truth, and spiritual misdirection have robbed humanity of its divine inheritance. Here, truth isn't just facts—it's original, eternal knowledge that transcends the senses. We delve into the profound message that every human being was created as a king, not by gender, but by divine authority. Through powerful revelations, we explore why God came in human form: to restore what was lost, to reconnect us to the Kingdom, and to reclaim the crowns forfeited through disobedience. This isn't your typical Gospel conversation. We go beyond “What Would Jesus Do” and ask the real question: What Did Jesus Say? Because the true Good News isn't just about the cross—it's about the crown beyond it. SCRIPTURE: Acts 20-21 YOU CAN ALSO FIND KENNY'S MANUSCRIPT FOR THIS SERMON HERE!REFLECTION/DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:In Acts 20:22-24, Paul says he is “captive to the Spirit” and knows persecution awaits him in Jerusalem… yet he continues anyway. What might this teach us?The sermon contends that Christianity isn't about “outside-in” behavior modification but rather “inside-out” transformation. What's the difference between these two approaches to following Jesus? In what areas of your life might you be focusing too much on external behaviors rather than internal transformation? How does Paul's journey (particularly the way he handles the disagreements about what the Spirit is or is not calling him to do) demonstrate the difference between unity and uniformity in the Christian community? How do you typically handle disagreements with other Christians about important spiritual matters? The sermon identifies three key elements in Paul's life which contribute to his Christlikeness: radical humility, compassionate community, and being enraptured by the Gospel. Which of these do you find most challenging? Why?How might a shift from asking “What Would Jesus Do?” to “Who Does Jesus Say I Am?” change our approach to Christian living? What aspects of your identity in Christ do you struggle to fully believe or embrace?

Life brings loss, trials, and plenty of reasons to lose heart, but God calls us to respond differently. In this message from Church on the Rock, Cynthia reminds us that even in the face of suffering, tragedy, and a culture that celebrates anger, we are called to anchor ourselves in the wisdom of God's Word. Drawing from Proverbs and the timeless call to “What Would Jesus Do,” she shows how discipline, self-control, and joy in the Lord can keep us steady no matter what storms we face. This sermon is both a challenge and an encouragement: to wise up, to resist the pull of pride and culture, and to let the Holy Spirit lead us each day. Whether in our homes, marriages, workplaces, or communities, God invites us to be the light in a world that desperately needs Him. Don't miss this powerful message that calls us back to wisdom, discipline, and the peace only Jesus can bring. Did you accept Christ today? Do you know what the letters WWJD stand for? You'll find the acronym on everything from bracelets to T-shirts to key chains. The letters stand for, What Would Jesus Do? This phrase reminds Christians to put Jesus first in all that we do. As parents, we need this reminder, but so do our kids. And the best way for them to learn this is to see it demonstrated in action. So the next time you're faced with financial stress, work problems, or a health crisis, take a moment to sit next to your son and go to the Lord in prayer. When your son sees and hears you ask the Lord for help, he'll understand that WWJD is more than a bumper sticker. It's a way of life. For more encouragement and parenting advice, visit Trail Life USA or RaisingGodlyBoys.com.

A Critique of Practicing the Way, Part 11 - Definition by Imagination, presented by Bob DeWaay and Barb Gretch. We show that Comer's teaching is based on imagination - what one thinks Jesus would do - not what Scripture calls us to do. Gods moral will is revealed to us in Scripture, and it is true of all believers. "What Would Jesus Do?" is theological liberalism. (duration 00:24:42) Click here to play
Joanne Tramel emphasizes that the values of truth and justice that we hold as Christians are also values to be held as citizens of the United States. Truth is not always what we want it to be, so we are to be open-minded and pray for guidance. A main function of government is the pursuit of criminal and distributive justice and our responsibility is to hold our leaders to a standard that reflects the “What Would Jesus Do” virtues.
In this episode I talk with Dr. Cornelis Bennema, professor of New Testament at the London School of Theology. He has written several books, including his brand-new Imitation in Early Christianity: Mimesis and Religious-Ethical Formation, out now on Eerdmans. In this book he explores the concept of mimesis or imitation in early Christianity and how imitation is central to Christian ethics and discipleship. We discuss the prevalence of the concept in the New Testament, its Greco-Roman and Jewish backgrounds, how the gospels and Paul represent imitation, whether “What Would Jesus Do” is an accurate phrase, and how Christians should imitate Jesus today. the blessing of difficult people: we have it all backwards. it's like the gym. without struggle you can't increase strength. as gets easier, you increase the struggle to get stronger. adding resistance isn't being mean, it's supporting strength gain. Earth is a gym, sometimes hard sometimes easy but it's a workout here, not a spa.real foundation of all spiritual practices is to see god in all, and feel love. everything is a part of the creator.Happy is to wake up to true nature: and may all the beings in all the worlds be happy. How love the unlovable."treat them as yours". if cranky old man, they are your cranky old man.A movie without a villain has no conflict, and messes up the hero that we love. There has to be the villains. these 'bad' people are the heavy weights for training. sometimes you can't appreciate them, but you can appreciate that they play the 'bad guy' really well in this play of life.Need catalyst to move past unknown limitations. having 'bad' people to forgive is what gives us the forgiveness workouts. Now the greatest enemy becomes greatest teacher. "Don't hate me when I show up as an enemy, I have paid a large price for this for you." - Baba. When God looks, all god sees is God. What we call "bad karma" gives us the greatest opportunity to grow. What we call "good karma" often sets us back the most. Backwards for most. What Would Jesus Do? in each situation what would god have me do? Engage as much as you can stay compassionate. Increase the time as long as you can stay compassionate and loving. Don't go until engage in attack/fear. This is the workout.

Click here for more on this topic and other free resources - https://www.drjimrichards.com A few decades ago, wearing a bracelet with the letters WWJD was incredibly popular. These letters stood for the powerful question, "What Would Jesus Do?" I genuinely believe this remains one of the most vital and transformative questions we can ask in any situation. Remarkably, the Bible clearly tells us that we already have the mind of Christ! So, shouldn't we confidently know the answer to the WWJD question? Let's explore this truth together. God has provided us with everything we need for abundant life and true godliness. Yet, we often find ourselves falling short of experiencing the fullness of the life He has generously given. Why is this? Simply put, we often fail to access what is already ours! It's like receiving an incredible birthday gift but choosing to leave it unopened. Technically, it belongs to us, but we never truly benefit from it because we don't unwrap it and put it to use. Join me this week in CyberChurch as we begin our journey to "Learn How to Have the Mind of Christ." It's time to embrace, activate, and truly enjoy all that God has so freely and lovingly provided!

The title of today_s devotional is Special Feet. We will be looking at animal tracks during Arts-n-Crafts. Next, we think about the phrase "What Would Jesus Do?" and how we can apply that phrase to our teaching. We follow with our interview with Marc Aramian about his most recent project, the film He Named Him Adam. This film is about Regina, who, after an abortion, suffered from crippling depression for nine years ending her marriage, derailing her career ambitions, and leading her to the brink of suicide.

In this episode, Chad and Robert dive into the true meaning of discipleship—what it really means to follow Jesus. Too often, discipleship is reduced to a class, a checklist, or simply acquiring knowledge, but Jesus invites us into something deeper: an apprenticeship. Being a disciple isn't about having all the answers—it's about learning to live like Jesus in every aspect of our lives.Subscribe to receive our latest videos!Website: https://www.sunvalleycc.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sunvalleycc/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sunvalleycc/Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@sunvalleyccTo support Sun Valley and help us continue to reach people all around the world click here: https://www.sunvalleycc.com/givingGod loves you no matter who you are, what you've done, or what's been done to you. In this episode of The Breakdown, the crew dives into a variety of intriguing topics, ranging from the biblical significance of names to the resurgence of the iconic "WWJD" bracelets. They explore the unusual names found in the Bible, such as Malon and Chileon, and question why parents in ancient times might have chosen names with negative connotations. What are the the cultural and theological implications of names? They also discuss the lasting impact of "What Would Jesus Do?" and why the phrase may be misleading in modern Christian practice. Instead, the hosts argue for a deeper focus on what Jesus actually said and did, as well as the challenge of balancing faith with cultural trends like marketing in the church. With humor and candid discussions, they unpack the complexities of contemporary Christianity, offering insights into how modern believers navigate these age-old debates. This episode continues in the quest to answer the questions, "should we go to church" and if so, "why"? Today I discuss Jesus Christ and what He did. We often hear the answer to life's problems is, "What Would Jesus Do?" In this case, I answer the question, "What DID Jesus do?" It is also important to pay attention to what He commanded His disciples to do as well. Listen to this today, and let me know your thoughts in the comments. I also have a teaser about the podcast at the end and would like to know if you have any suggestions. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorsteven153/support

In a world of constant change, we find ourselves in need of spiritual recalibration. This message reminds us of our core calling as apprentices of Jesus: to be with Him, become like Him, and crucially, to do as He did. John 14:12 challenges us with Jesus' words: 'Whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and greater works than these.' This isn't just about belief, but about action. We're called to move beyond being mere 'hearers of the word' to become 'doers,' as James exhorts. By asking 'What Would Jesus Do?' in every situation and acting on it, we can participate in continuing Christ's work on earth, empowered by the same Holy Spirit that raised Him from the dead. This recalibration invites us to live out our faith boldly, trusting that God has equipped us for greater things than we might imagine.

In episode 244 we are joined by Paul Gibbs, founder of Pais Movement to talk about what it looks like to live a life on a Kingdom-centric mission the way Jesus modeled it. You've heard the slogan "What Would Jesus Do?". But Paul thinks it may be better to ask, "What did Jesus do?", and then go and do likewise. Paul Clayton Gibbs is the Founder and Global Director of Pais Movement, he has planted and repurposed churches in both the UK and the USA. He travels globally providing consultancy and training to leaders. Paul is the author of several books including; ‘Talmidim – How To Disciple Anyone In Anything'. Pais Movement exists "To spark a movement where the primary mission of every Christian is to advance the Kingdom of God in the way Jesus modeled it." "Have you noticed there are two types of Christianity? While the Christian-centric gospel prioritizes personal transformation, the Kingdom-centric gospel compels us to transform our world. Both are Christianity, but one represents the kind of religion Jesus witnessed and the other, the kind He wanted. In his latest book, Kingdom Centric: Reframing Christianity, Paul Clayton Gibbs guides you through a series of awkward questions to help align your thoughts and practices to God's true purpose for your life. When God's people return to who He created us to be and lead others to do the same, we give God what He wants: His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. Take the free appraisal to discover how Kingdom-centric you are, and then use the ten ‘pivots' in this book to revolutionize your relationship with God. If you have ever questioned whether the Christianity you experience is what Jesus had in mind, you will find this book revolutionary, practical, and full of insights that make sense." As we kick off this new teaching series, Pastor Brent explores Jesus' prayer for unity among believers in John 17, unpacking the concept of "What Would Jesus Pray?" Drawing parallels to the "What Would Jesus Do?" movement, Brent challenges the church to emulate Jesus' fervent desire for His followers to be unified in their mission of helping others find and follow Christ. Despite differences, Brent encourages choosing humility, patience, and preserving the hard-fought unity that serves as a powerful testimony to the world.
My amazing friend Dri Marshall kindly stepped in to fill a gap in my Holy Week programming that I didn't know that I needed! She teaches me so much! Wednesday of Holy Week is a day that we don't actually know a lot about. We don't have a very clear idea of how the Savior spent His time-maybe He was teaching, performing miracles, spending some time by Himself...maybe all of these above. With that in mind, Dri shares with my that things that she learned from her study of this important day and she tells me about some of the traditions from her home country of Brazil. I love her parting thoughts, that when we don't know what the Savior was doing, we can ask ourselves, What Would Jesus Do? And then we will probably have a pretty good idea of what He was doing on that day.Dri's Previous Episodehttps://www.buzzsprout.com/2035065/12027995-episode-19-the-scholar.mp3?download=true
