What does it look like to let go of the bitterness? Imagine not feeling frustrated or angry because motherhood has taken your identity. Instead you are able to find the joy and ease in your role as a mother.

All the "scripts" and Gentle Parenting techniques weren't working, so I began diving deeper into how to actually stop backtalk without punishments, yelling, bribing, or using fear to get my kids to cooperate.

I was amazed that I was able to flow EVEN during a recent hard season of motherhood. Every time, I go back to these 7 things to make mom life easier again.

Teaching your nervous system how to find calm may feel impossible with kids. But, there is SO much moms CAN and SHOULD do to find regulation in their body.

Do you yell? Act impatient sometimes? Maybe even get into a cycle of blaming? Even when our behaviors as a parent don't model the person we want our child to be, there are STILL lessons your kids will learn.

I wish I knew that inner work was more than just processing through my inner world. It's the homework that moms must do to find peace + calm in their mind/body.

Most mothers don't know when to have more kid because they feel pressure, stressed out, alone, and unsupported. When we learn about ancient cultures and how they went about having more children along with understanding how our body heals postpartum, we get a good picture of when we will be ready to have another baby.

These are some simple mindset shifts that will help you to get rid of negative thoughts and starting loving your life (again) as a mom.

When I discovered hygge at the beginning of my minimalism journey, I was intrigued by this cozy and intentional practice. After re-discovering the art of creating a hygge home, I began implementing these changes. What amazed me was how this helped me to become a calmer parent and my kids seemed less stimulated too. I hope that these small environmental changes help you to create a safe and cozy space for your children grow!

Every person comes into parenthood with expectations. These can be from society or even how we were raised. Although, having expectations can be helpful in motivating us, more often than not they are holding us back from becoming the parent we were made to be. When we can appropriately shift our expectations and become more realistic about them, we will find freedom. I hope this episode encourages you to shift your expectations and find peace with where you are at in parenthood.

Although I wouldn't consider myself a minimalist anymore (is that even really possible with kids?!), I do find myself gravitating towards less. I have found with LESS stuff.. there is less overwhelm and more time to enjoy what I really love.
