The Shame Spiral podcast is a truly refreshing and insightful show hosted by Ely Kreimendahl, a comedic genius and therapist. As a long-time follower of Ely on social media, I was thrilled to discover their podcast and it has quickly become one of my favorites. The best aspects of this podcast are the valuable insight provided by Ely, their relatability as a new mom, and the wonderful mix of humor and vulnerability.
Ely's perspective on various topics, including parenting, shame, money, and mental health, is incredibly valuable. As a new mom myself, I find their insights to be relatable and helpful. It's comforting to know that someone with such knowledge and experience is sharing their wisdom in an approachable way. Additionally, the episodes that focus on non-parenting topics are just as wonderful. Ely's ability to balance humor with empathy creates a truly enjoyable listening experience.
One aspect that could be improved upon in The Shame Spiral podcast is the frequency of episodes. I find myself eagerly awaiting each new episode only to realize that they are released on a weekly basis. While I understand the time constraints of producing a podcast, it would be great if there were more frequent releases to satisfy my craving for Ely's entertaining and insightful conversations.
In conclusion, The Shame Spiral podcast is an exceptional show that combines humor and vulnerability in an impactful way. Ely Kreimendahl's ability to provide valuable insights while maintaining their comedic genius makes this podcast truly unique. This week I spiraled out with queer, neurodivergent and gender expansive psychotherapist Jess Sprengle! (@TheCrankyTherapist on IG) Jess is an Eating Disorder Specialist and Educator, and especially passionate about engaging with the intersection of the LGBTQIA+ experience, neurodivergence, and eating disorder recovery.
