    Samantha is no stranger to overcoming adversity. A late diagnosis of congenital hip dysplasia led to multiple corrective surgeries as a child. After starting school in a wheelchair, she finished school at age 16, completed medical and surgical training, and became the first female Urological Surgeon in South Australia. With a vision to deliver specialised incontinence treatments to the women of South Australia, she became the first urologist in Australia to exclusively specialise in female and functional urology, establishing Continence Matters in 2002, subsequently building her single surgeon practice into a Centre of Excellence. She is a passionate businesswoman and entrepreneur.Dr Pillay has served on numerous National and State boards and committees, including the Female Urology Special Advisory Group Chair for the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand from 2007 to 2013. She was the first female to represent South Australia on the Board of Urology from 2003 to 2006, the first female scientific convenor for their Annual Scientific Meeting in 2007, and the first female chair of the South Australian Urology section in 2017.Samantha, a single mother, has devoted her career as a surgeon to treating incontinence, reducing the stigma, and educating doctors, health professionals and the community. About Susan Neuhaus AM CSC Associate Professor Susan Neuhaus AM CSC is a general surgeon and surgical oncologist with specialty interests in melanoma and sarcoma surgery. She holds dual appointments as Clinical Associate Professor Department of Surgery and Associate Professor Conflict Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Dr Neuhaus was one of three finalists for the South Australian nomination for Australian of the Year in 2012. Dr Neuhaus served in both the Australian Army and Australian Army Reserve. Her operational experience included postings as a Regimental Medical Officer in 1993 when she spent 9 months with the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia. This was followed four years later by several months as Officer Commanding, Health Capability with the Peace Monitoring Group in Bougainville. She later served as Clinical Director and surgeon in the multinational NATO hospital in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan in 2009. Dr Neuhaus was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross in the 2009 Queen's Birthday Honours for "outstanding achievement in the provision of medical support as the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Health Support Battalion." She retired from the Army in 2010 with the rank for Colonel.
